After a marathon Sunday, unsurprisingly, Monday was relatively slower with comparatively less-lucrative tournaments on offer. The Spartan Super Series (SSS) is back on Spartan Poker, and yesterday, the site’s biggest guarantee event was the SSS #5 ReCharge ₹14 Lakhs GTD. Registering 744 entries (330 unique, 154 re-entries, and 260 rebuys), the tourney generated a guarantee-smashing ₹14.88 Lakhs prize pool. Seasoned pro Manish ‘thekid’ Lakhotia triumphed over the fierce competition and defeated Wilson ‘RohiniSharma’ Yomso (runner-up for ₹1.80 Lakhs) heads-up to clinch the title, along with a top prize of ₹2.87 Lakhs.

This SSS series has brought with it another Millionaire, SSS The Millionaire ₹1.5 Crores GTD. Sporting a buy-in of ₹11,000, the multi-flight event gets going at 6 pm on December 13.

Similar to Spartan Poker, PokerBaazi is another platform that has been consistently churning out big-ticket tournaments and promotions. With the inaugural edition of the PokerBaazi Monthly Value Series (PMVS) closing out a smashing debut run on Sunday, the site was back to its regularly scheduled weekly events. The Monday marquee event on PokerBaazi, The Bout ₹10 Lakhs GTD, attracted 286 entries (151 unique and 135 re-entries) and was championed by MTT specialist Kavish ‘Narcos’ Kukreja who bested PokerGuru Ambassador Ashish ‘OMG_spew’ Munot (runner-up for ₹1.77 Lakhs) heads-up to win ₹2.52 Lakhs. This for Kukreja was his second major title on successive days – he had on Sunday championed Spartan Poker`s Sunday SuperStack ₹40 Lakhs GTD to win ₹7.72 Lakhs.

Munot’s fellow Team Ambassador Devvrat ‘[email protected]’ Arya also came excruciatingly close to winning a major title in PokerStars India’s Monday Hustle ₹6 Lakhs GTD but eventually lost it to Chandan ‘RunBarryRun’ Arora. The latter walked away with a ₹1.19 Lakhs, while Arya pocketed ₹88,089 for his runner-up finish.

Over at 9stacks, the StackUp @8 PM ₹2.5 Lakhs GTD had a shortfall of ₹37,000 and crowned a winner in Aniket ‘pockets’ Raj who added ₹65,000 to his bankroll.
