It’s the start of the weekend, and the virtual felts are teeming with action! Spartan Poker’s The Elite ₹25 Lakhs GTD attracted a packed field of 306 entries (129 unique, 88 re-entries and 89 rebuys) last night, which was 104 entries short of last week’s 410 entries that it pulled in during the IOPC series. Still, the event managed to eclipse its advertised guarantee and post a massive prize pool of ₹30.60 Lakhs. An unknown player with the fancy moniker ‘Durrrlethodabhagwanse’ dueled against PokerGuru Ambassador Laksh Pal ‘LuckyBhai$’ Singh for the top honors and ultimately clinched the title which included a ₹5.96 Lakhs payday. Singh took home an equally impressive ₹4.86 Lakhs for his runner-up finish.

PokerBaazi’s Fri-Yay ₹6 Lakhs GTD also had an eventful run last night. Securing a prize pool of ₹6.39 Lakhs on the back of 213 participants (123 unique and 90 re-entries), the event crowned a champion in seasoned pro Rajat’ LungFakeer’ Sharma who banked the ₹1.50 Lakhs up top. MTT specialist Srihari ‘bangbang999’ Bang came in second for ₹1.05 Lakhs.

Incidentally, Bang was among the top contenders to win the title in Adda52’s Holdem High Roller ₹30 Lakhs GTD as well. The event saw 199 hopefuls (110 unique and 89 re-entries) lining up to pay the ₹22,000 buy-in (includes ₹2,000 fee), resulting in a prize pool collection of ₹39.80 Lakhs. Bang, who plays by the moniker ‘zombieballs’ on the site, clashed with Manish’ newkidpoker’ Lakhotia heads-up but fell out a place short. He finished runner-up for ₹6.46 Lakhs, to cumulatively earn ₹7.52 Lakhs over these two runner-up finishes. For Lakhotia, the win translated into a ₹11.06 Lakhs windfall.

With the Adda52 Online Poker Series (AOPS) on its last legs, the most prestigious event of the series is presently underway. The AOPS Main Event ₹1.5 Crores GTD kicked off at 7 PM yesterday with its first starting flight Day 1A. Sporting a buy-in of ₹11,000 (includes ₹1,000 fee), the tournament attracted 336 entries (200 unique and 136 re-entries). ‘blunt420’ bagged the biggest stack of 340,966 among 41 survivors with ‘depeak87’ (307,763) and ‘Volatile’ (299,621) rounding out the top three stacks.

Anurag’ GutshotHaiBro’ Srivastava seems unstoppable at the moment with his winning streak showing no signs of slowing down. Adding yet another accolade to his glittering poker resume, Srivastava took down PokerStars India’s Uppercut 6-Max MAGIC Edition ₹10 Lakhs GTD for ₹1.76 Lakhs, after besting PokerGuru Ambassador Kartik’ TheInternetKid’ Ved (runner-up for ₹1.34 Lakhs) heads-up.
