The ongoing India Online Poker Championship (IOPC) on Spartan Poker is nearing the halfway mark with 41 out of its 99-event schedule completed on Thursday. While a total of six IOPC events took place yesterday, the star attraction was definitely the IOPC #40 High Roller ₹55 Lakhs GTD. Logging in 333 entries (167 unique, 83 re-entries and 83 re-buys) at a buy-in of ₹27,500, the event comfortably smashed its guarantee to collect a massive prize pool of ₹83.25 Lakhs. Wednesday’s G.O.A ₹20 Lakhs GTD winner on PokerBaazi, Manoj ‘MRBLUE’ Pentakota outlasted ‘Zenos’ (runner-up for ₹11.85 Lakhs) heads-up in the IOPC High Roller, adding a colossal ₹17.60 Lakhs to his ever-increasing bankroll!

The other big guarantee event on Spartan Poker yesterday was the IOPC #39 Ultron ₹25 Lakhs GTD that saw a gathering of 816 entries (352 unique, 163 re-entries and 301 rebuys) and collected a prize pool worth ₹32.64 Lakhs. Yohan ‘PAPITO’ Patel juggernaut to the top of the field and bested tournament regular ‘GODSENT,’ following a heads-up deal. Patel locked in ₹5.29 Lakhs for his win, while his heads-up opponent pocketed ₹4.97 Lakhs for their runner-up finish.

While Spartan Poker’s IOPC has been grabbing the headlines, PokerBaazi’s regularly scheduled events have also been doing really well. Last night’s The Summit ₹15 Lakhs GTD registered 279 participants (146 unique and 133 re-entries), leading to a prize pool of ₹20.92 Lakhs. Taking home the most significant share of the prize pool kitty worth ₹4.62 Lakhs was Alok ‘TheProfessional’ Birewar, who defeated the 2019 IPC ₹100K High Roller champion Pranay ‘setmeup’ Chawla (runner-up for ₹3.24 Lakhs) in the final showdown to clinch the top honors.

Over at Adda52, the Thursday signature tourney – Godfather ₹25 Lakhs GTD – was shipped by ‘rahulpalawat’ who ran past a field of 524 hopefuls (278 unique and 246 re-entries) and netted ₹6.28 Lakhs in first-place prize money.

PokerStars India’s Highroller ₹10 Lakhs GTD saw a heads-up battle play out between two PokerGuru Ambassadors Ashish ‘chipcharity999’ Munot and Laksh Pal ‘B00MTilt23’ Singh. While Munot eventually claimed the title, the two Team Ambassadors pocketed ₹2.47 Lakhs each in prize money.
