Spartan Poker`s Grand Poker Series (GPS) had a smashing run on Tuesday. The action is set to pick up later this week once the PPL August Edition sets sail on PokerBaazi. For now, let’s take a look at yesterday`s biggest winners.

Spartan Poker

Headlining the Day 2 schedule of the GPS was the ₹22 Lakhs GTD GPS #8 Mega Stack. The Tuesday flagship tourney logged in 827 contenders, to accrue ₹24.81 Lakhs in the prize pool. After nearly eight hours of play, Young Gun Anmol ‘Anzzzzz’ Mehta emerged as the victor and won ₹3.47 Lakhs, following a three-way deal with Vaibhav ‘Nikka Zaildar’ Sharma (runner-up for ₹3.19 Lakhs) and PokerGuru Ambassador Gokul ‘Super Kings’ Raj (3rd for ₹3.17 Lakhs). Mehta posted a second final table score in PokerStars India’s Sixth Sense, where he placed ninth for ₹18,623. These scores have taken his annual tally over ₹1.66 Crores, and his profits have touched ₹88 Lakhs.

The other primetime tourney on Spartan Poker, the ₹8.5 Lakhs GTD GPS #9 The Race, registered 672 entries to collect a guarantee-bursting ₹10.08 Lakhs. Three-way deals were quite the fad last night, and like in the Mega Stack, here too, the top three chopped the prize money. ‘Amitshivhare’ captured the title for ₹1.36 Lakhs. PokerGuru Ambassador Arjanveer Singh ‘bazzingaa’ Chadha pocketed the same ₹1.36 Lakhs for his runner-up finish, while his fellow stable-mate, Jayjit ‘David Blaine’ Ray took third place for ₹1.34 Lakhs. The win has helped the anonymous winner recover some of their losses on the site; however, they are still ₹1.98 Lakhs in the red.

Spartan Poker rolled out a new multi-flight tournament on Tuesday, the ₹10 Lakhs GTD Velocity. The new weekly tournament will run four starting flights between Tuesday to Friday, and all advancing players will play down to a winner on Saturday. The event offers 2000X value as it boasts an affordable buy-in of ₹550. The first starting flight drew 479 entries, and after four hours of action, only 38 survived. Anonymous user ‘Robin Van Charsi’ bagged the most massive stack of 229,927. Prakhar ‘Prak27’ Kapoor (204,185) and ‘SimulationA1’ rounded out the top three stacks of the flight.

PokerBaazi

PokerBaazi’s Tuesday extravaganza, the ₹15 Lakhs GTD Endeavour, smashed its guarantee by registering an impressive 440 entries that helped collect ₹15.4 Lakhs in the prize pool. Following almost eight hours of intense play, Ayush ‘Proman502’ Garg outlasted the competition to win ₹3.10 Lakhs. This happens to be the second time that Garg has championed this tourney. He had won this event for the first time in August last year for ₹3.36 Lakhs. His last title victory on PokerBaazi had come on July 24, when he had won the Thursday MonsterStack for ₹1.29 Lakhs. Garg’s lifetime scorecard reflects over ₹2.38 Crores in winnings. The runner-up Sahil ‘ImHighIshove’ Mahboobani received ₹2.17 Lakhs for his second-place finish.

Adda52

Headlining the Tuesday action on Adda52 was the ₹7.5 Lakhs GTD Hitman. The tourney logged in 240 entries to collect ₹7.68 Lakhs in prize money.Young Gun Devang ‘spark123’ Yadav came out on top after defeating Sajjan ‘HaiTohHai’ Barnwal (runner-up for ₹1.44 Lakhs) heads-up to win ₹2.33 Lakhs. With this win, Yadav has improved his online MTT record to ₹2.9 Crores, and he is steadily inching towards the ₹3 Crore-mark. Yadav`s biggest score on the site had come in February this year when he had shipped the Mega Suits Finale for ₹12 Lakhs.

The runner-up finisher, Barnwal, even won the Afterdark Adda for ₹40,112 yesterday.

PokerStars India

PokerStars India’s ₹7 Lakhs GTD Sixth Sense has been consistently failing to meet its guarantee, and last night was no different. The ₹3,300 buy-in tourney brought together 209 entries, registering a ₹73,000 overlay. The top three finishers decided on a deal with Anurag ‘GutshotHaiBro’ Srivastava, eventually taking down the title and ₹1.04 Lakhs. The first-ever Game Changer champion Prashanth ‘nemesis9961’ Sekar pocketed the same ₹1.04 Lakhs for his runner-up finish, while Harsh ‘kakori kabab’ Dembla finished third for ₹92,452. Srivastava is one of the nine players on the annual leaderboard sitting with over ₹2 Crores in online MTT winnings this year. This happens to be the third time that Srivastava has won this tourney.

The site’s ₹5 Lakhs GTD Super Tuesday recorded 170 entries, falling ₹75,000 short of the break-even mark. The field whittled down to a heads-up between Anmolraj ‘modi chai wala’ Singh Chawla and anonymous user ‘yashos13’. The duo chopped the prize money and decided to play for the title. Ultimately, Chawla clinched the title for ₹1.13 Lakhs (₹50,706 in prize money and ₹62,558 in bounties). The runner-up took home ₹67,639 (₹50,706 in prize money and ₹16,933 in bounties). Chawla had last won a title on July 25, where he had shipped the Friday Euphoria for ₹87,011. This was his eighth title on the site taking his lifetime cashes over ₹27.72 Lakhs.
