It was an action-packed Thursday with PokerBaazi’s APT India Online and Adda52’s WPT India Online driving the virtual action.

PokerGuru Ambassadors were a dominating force last night, with four team members winning flagship titles, one from each of the top four domestic sites, along with a litany of FT scores. PokerGuru Ambassador Mithun Mahesh was the day’s leading scorer and bagged his career-first APT trophy in PokerBaazi’s APT#29 Highroller for a personal-best (on PokerBaazi) ₹16.57 Lakhs. He also placed third in Adda52’s WPT Gladiator for ₹2.98 Lakhs. The former WSOP bracelet winner Aditya Sushant placed runner-up in the APT#29 Highroller for ₹11.62 Lakhs.

The EndBoss runner-up, Young Gun Neel Joshi, championed WPT India Mini Highroller for ₹16.47 Lakhs along with a WPT Trophy beating PokerGuru Ambassador Vishal Bajaj in the heads-up showdown.

The former WPT India Tuesday Feature champion, PokerGuru Ambassador Ashish Ahuja, grabbed the WPT Gladiator’s top spot, winning his second WPT trophy for ₹7.65 Lakhs.

PokerGuru Ambassador Gokul Raj claimed Spartan Poker’s Trending Thursday title for a ₹4.32 Lakhs payday.

Besides Team PokerGuru, the day’s other standout performer was the four-time Destiny winner Nitin Arora. He pipped Game Changer 1.0 winner Prashanth Sekar heads-up to win APT#30 DST title for ₹3.19 Lakhs.

Young Gun Arsh Grover, PokerGuru Ambassador Akshay Kapoor, Mohit Mehta, Chirag Sodha, Mohak Kapoor, Aditya Singh, Vinay Rajpal, Kamal Punjabi, Basant Kumar Singh, Adarsh Subham, Mridul Kharkwal, and Adda52 streamer Shivam Jain won the other marquee events.

Spartan Poker

While the IOPC July edition finally wrapped up proceedings on August 4, Thursday, saw Spartan Poker bring back its much-popular ₹1 Crore GTD The Millionaire. Day 1A ran from 7 PM to 11:38 PM and witnessed 50 runners make it through to Day 2 from a starting field of 342 entries.

Md ‘Barrel_57’ Zeeshan bagged the end of Day 1A chip lead with a stack of 258,794. Vinay ‘BeepBeepImaJeep’ Rajpal (194,362) and PokerGuru Ambassador Rony ‘Eunseom176’ Chowdhury (186,200) held the following two big stacks of the day.

Spartan Poker’s Thursday extravaganza, the ₹21 Lakhs GTD Trending Thursday, ran alongside Day 1A of The Millionaire. Racing ahead of a 431-entry field, PokerGuru Ambassador Gokul ‘The Greek Freak’ Raj claimed his career-first Trending Thursday title, and his ninth title win of the year, for a ₹4.32 Lakhs payday.

The trophy event of the day, the ₹75 Lakhs GTD APT#29 Highroller, saw PokerGuru Ambassador Mithun ‘thepokeraja’ Mahesh clinching his first APT Trophy for a personal-best (on PokerBaazi) ₹16.57 Lakhs. The Millionaire – May champion, Mithun Mahesh, posted a third-place score in Adda52’s WPT Gladiator for ₹2.98 Lakhs. It was Mahesh’s eighth flagship title win for the year, while his cumulative scores for the day were ₹19.55 Lakhs.

Yesterday’s Monster Stack Champion, Arsh ‘Button_Hai_Bro’ Grover (253,000), bagged the end-of-day chip lead among the 32 survivors, with ‘arjun100’ (245,000) and Kaushik ‘kaushik1989’ Tibrewal (241,000) rounding out the top three stacks of the day.

PokerBaazi’s 8 PM flagship, the ₹15 Lakhs GTD APT#30 DST, recorded 547 entries, posting a hefty 16.41 Lakhs prize pool. The four-time Destiny winner Nitin ‘philhermouth’ Arora outdueled Game Changer 1.0 winner Prashanth ‘Iveyleague’ Sekar (runner-up for ₹2.24 Lakhs) heads-up to win APT#30 DST title for ₹3.19 Lakhs. This win was Arora’s seventh title win for the year and his first APT Online title win, pushing his lifetime tally to ₹3.47 Crores.

The former Full House champion Sodha now has ₹5.38 Crores in lifetime earnings with ₹1.5 Crores in recorded profits. The ₹25 Crores GTD World Poker Tour (WPT) Online India completed Day 5 on Thursday, crowning nine more champions and warding two Trophies.

The WPT headliner of the day was the ₹60 Lakhs GTD WPT India Mini Highroller. The ₹27,500 buy-in tourney took off at 9.30 PM, eventually filling in ₹4.75 Lakhs in the overlay shortfall after 221 entries signed up to play. Navigating past the competition for his first WPT title and second tournament win of 2021 was the EndBoss runner-up and Young Gun Neel ‘neeljoshi23’ Joshi. Joshi pocketed a ₹16.47 Lakhs up top after defeating the intensely competitive PokerGuru Ambassador Vishal ‘GigaaBet’ Bajaj in the heads-up showdown.

Subsequently, both Joshi and Bajaj posted final table scores in PokerStars India’s Highroller. Joshi added ₹1.10 Lakhs to his Thursday winnings that stood at ₹17.58 Lakhs.

Flight 5 of the ₹1 Crore GTD WPT India Unreal ran from 7.30 PM to 10.21 PM last night. A total of 222 contenders entered the fray, and play halted with 26 of them bagging stacks for Day 2. ‘rounderAA‘ (363,248) bagged an enormous stack among this narrowed group. It was another incredible night for PokerGuru Ambassadors, with former The Millionaire champion Mithun ‘thepokeraja’ Mahesh conquering the biggest tourney of the night, the ₹75 Lakhs GTD, APT#29 Highroller for a mammoth ₹16.57 Lakhs.

Along with capturing his first APT title, Mahesh was even close to winning a WPT trophy last night eventually, finished third in the WPT Gladiator for ₹2.98 Lakhs.

Mahesh’s rampage helped him earn a total of ₹19.55 Lakhs last night, improving his lifetime scorecard to ₹4.53 Crores (₹1.41 Crores in lifetime profits).

His heads-up opponent, bracelet winner Aditya ‘gangajal’ Sushant, took home an equally impressive ₹11.62 Lakhs for his second-place finish.

Unfortunately, the tourney suffered a massive ₹9 Lakhs in overlay deficit, post clocking in only 264 players.

The Megastack is Rajpal’s eighth title win of 2021, marking his second APT victory in a week. On August 2 – the same day he final-tabled the IOPC #138 – The Crown, Rajpal had championed the ₹10 Lakhs GTD APT #12 PLO for ₹1.94 Lakhs.

The second title came in the late-night event, Adda52’s WPT Late Night PKO, that he shipped for ₹85,453. Mohit Mehta also cashed in a total of five events last night to rake in ₹2.03 Lakhs in winnings.

The ₹1,650 buy-in event commenced proceedings at 9:30 PM and, by the time the late reg period got over, pulled in 129 contenders to face an overlay deficit of ₹1.06 Lakhs (over 30% deficit). The top 15 places finished ITM.

The only known player on the FT was Abhishek ‘Addysonu’ Sonu (5th for ₹23,072).
