The National Poker Series has kept the MTT regs on a sleep-eat-play-repeat mode these last four days, and the player response to the much-hyped series has been nothing short of spectacular.

The two-time ‘The Weekly HighRoller’ winner Mohammad Azhar topped the Wednesday charts after taking down the multi-flight NPS Kick-Off for a career-best ₹10.70 Lakhs and the NPS Gold Medal. He bagged the biggest payday awarded at the NPS so far. Suraj Nameirakpam finished runner-up for a career-best ₹7.98 Lakhs.

Long-time circuit reg Romit Advani came out on top in the NPS Double Jump to win ₹6.91 Lakhs following a heads-up deal.

Pranav Bang shipped Spartan Poker’s Destiny for ₹6.32 Lakhs, with Yash Chitre taking second place.

Abhishek Pathak won Adda52’s Maverick for ₹3.75 Lakhs

Chanti Nayak, Young Gun Sanat Mehrotra, Pankaj Sharma, Dhaval Doshi, Arun Sriram, Ajay Agrawal, Sumit Chhabra, Karan Malhotra bagged the other Wednesday marquee titles.

With Spartan Poker hosting the Destiny 19.0 SnG Finale last Sunday, the Destiny 20.0 series commenced its run yesterday. The former AOPS Main Event third-place finisher Pranav ‘I’mThePlayboi’ Bang became the first player to book his seat in the Destiny 20.0 SnG Finale scheduled for September 5 (9 PM). Bang topped the 552-entry field to win ₹6.32 Lakhs. Sunday`s The Millionaire third-place finisher Bang clinched his first title of the year last night, boosting his online scorecard to ₹2.10 Crores (₹86.13 Lakhs in net profits).

Before taking down the title, Bang struck a heads-up deal with Yash ‘Babyshark10’ Chitre, who picked up a career-best ₹5.27 Lakhs for his deep run. Chitre also placed fifth in the NPS#22 PKO for ₹50,623, raking in ₹5.81 Lakhs overall. He now boasts ₹40.75 Lakhs in lifetime winnings (₹13.58 Lakhs in net profits).

The Destiny ran with a ₹26 Lakhs prize pool guarantee last night, a ₹2 Lakhs reduction over last week. The top 50 places got paid from the ₹27.60 Lakhs prize pool with a min-cash worth ₹13,800.

The second Wednesday marquee running as part of Spartan Poker’s Daily Poker Marathon, the Wednesday Vibes offered a slightly reduced ₹8 Lakhs prize pool guarantee. The ₹1,650 entry buy-in event collected a smashing ₹8.81 Lakhs prize pool from a starting field of 587 entrants. A seven-way final table deal saw Dhaval ‘Ace of hearts’ Doshi walking away with the title and a site-best ₹1.06 Lakhs. The user ‘sumit1386’ raced past the competition to win ₹1.20 Lakhs (includes ₹62,824 in bounties), with ‘manav95’ placing runner-up for ₹81,294 (includes ₹24,018 in bounties).

PokerBaazi`s National Poker Series set the virtual felts ablaze for the fourth day running. There were eight events on the day`s roster, and seven of them awarded medals.

The ₹550 entry buy-in ₹1 Crore GTD Golden Rush completed Flight 1D, adding 1,237 entries to the field. After 27 levels of play, 144 runners made it through to Day 2, with Suyog ‘Suyoggaikwad’ Gaikwad (527,000), ‘Crucifix’ (412,000), and Varun ‘wazza92’ Vikrant Pande (398,000) topping the surviving field. He has also overtaken PokerGuru Ambassador Kartik Ved at #3 on the yearly profit leaderboard and sits on ₹88.58 Lakhs in annual profits.

The event registered 608 entries (Flight 1A – 321 and Flight 1B – 287) from two starting flights to generate a ₹15.20 Lakhs prize pool (over 50% more than its advertised guarantee). Day 2 began at 8:30 PM with 104 qualifiers, and Chanti ‘Majay’ Nayak outlasted them all to win the first-place prize money of ₹2.95 Lakhs and the NPS Gold Medal. Nayak booked his best-recorded finish on PokerBaazi with the win, his total site-winnings reaching ₹16.65 Lakhs (₹8.09 Lakhs in net profits).

Undoubtedly, the most-talked-about event on the NPS schedule, the ₹550 entry buy-in ₹1 Crore GTD NPS Golden Rush, registered 1,237 entries on Flight 1D, taking the total registrations to 6,171 entries (Day 1A – 1,995, Day 1B – 1,677, Day 1C – 1,262, and Day 1D – 1,237).

The event is almost guaranteed to set a new attendance record, as it needs 20,000 entries to hit its eight-figure guarantee. The NPS Golden Rush has locked in a third of that tall target in the first four flights alone and looks well on track to crushing its guarantee.

Speaking of Flight 1D, only 144 runners from the starting field of 1,237 entrants made the cut for Day 2.
