Friday saw all the usual MTT suspects descend on the virtual felts, and several among them pulled out trailblazing performances.

Spartan Poker`s ₹1 Crore GTD The Millionaire played out its second starting flight last night, and for the second consecutive day, Young Gun Devang Yadav bagged a massive stack in the weekend flagship. He now has two stacks for Day 2.

The inaugural NPS Main Event champion Mohammad Azhar might have taken some time off earlier this week to cool off, but he returned to work last night and galloped his way to top the Friday charts. The 23-year-old cash game reg added ₹6.80 Lakhs in Friday earnings, including winning The Elite title for a ₹6.66 Lakhs payday.

Young Gun Siddhanth Kripalani bagged his second The Ballers title for ₹4.99 Lakhs after striking a heads-up deal with Abhishek Gubba (runner-up for ₹4.04 Lakhs).

The #10 ranked player of the year and the inaugural Adda52 Colossus champion Anirban Das was at his multi-tabling best last night, as he finished ITM in eight different tournaments, and five of them were FT scores. In all, he added ₹4.54 Lakhs in Friday winnings while also bagging a stack for Day 2 of The Millionaire.

PokerBaazi user ‘bencb789’ won The Weekly Highroller for a personal-best ₹3.97 Lakhs. Young Gun Anmol Mehta came second for ₹2.78 Lakhs.

Karan Malhotra banked a career-best ₹2.42 Lakhs in PokerStars India’s Uppercut MAGIC Edition, and Armaan Kochhar placed second for ₹1.22 Lakhs.

Advait Rajguru, Peushup Eugene, and Nikhil Yadav were the other big Friday winners.

Spartan Poker`s ₹1 Crore GTD The Millionaire is setting the stage for another blockbuster Sunday. The weekend flagship started afresh on Thursday with its first edition for July and played out its second starting flight last night. The ₹5,500 entry buy-in tourney logged in 291 entries on Day 1B, a significant improvement over the 207 entries clocked in on Day 1A. Only 38 players bagged a stack for Day 2, and it was one of the Day 1A chip leaders, Young Gun Devang ‘equity_hunter’ Yadav (182,249), who topped the day-end chip counts. The second chip lead, Shagun icansuckout’ Jain (174,738), also picked up his second stack for Day 2. Armaan ‘space ace’ Kochhar (162,759) rounded out the top three names on the Day 1B survivor’s list.

The NPS champion Mohammad Azhar was the biggest story this past week. The 23-year-old became the poster boy of the inaugural series after taking down the ₹3 Crores GTD NPS Main Event for his third NPS Gold Medal and a whopping ₹50.13 Lakhs. He also topped the NPS Series and NPS Podium Leaderboard standings.

The cash game reg found his way back in the spotlight last night on the back of performance similar to what we saw from him last Sunday. The player from Rajasthan topped a guarantee-crushing 315-entry field in Spartan Poker’s ₹30 Lakhs GTD The Elite to collect the day`s top score worth ₹ 6.66 Lakhs. With ₹6.80 Lakhs in Friday earnings, his lifetime online tally crossed ₹1.59 Crores, further cementing his place at the top of the weekly leaderboard standings. Devang Yadav booked his second stack for Day 2. He was among the Day 1A chip leaders and had carried forward a stack of 174,506. The Millionaire allows players to take multiple stacks forward to Day 2 – hence Yadav will be able to play on both these stacks individually and with three more starting flights to go, possibly even more.

Counting the 207 signups of Day 1A, the first The Millionaire edition of July has logged in 498 participants already with three starting flights to go.

The Game Changer 2.0 champion Shagun ‘icansuckout’ Jain, also a Day 1A qualifier with 125,210 in chips, closed out Day 1B by bagging the second largest stack of the day of 174,738.

The mystery user ‘gauravboi’ took down the event for ₹52,280 (includes ₹32,742 in bounties) following a four-way deal with ‘Donkeshwar’ (runner-up for ₹29,767), ‘manav95’ (3rd for ₹25,845) and ‘gb253’ (4th for ₹17,188).

Adarsh ‘Subham007’ Subham (7th for ₹8,389) and NPS Main Event champion Mohammad ‘Bund_Blaster’ Azhar (8th for ₹9,208) also earned final table payouts.

Mohammad Azhar was Friday`s biggest winner as he took down Spartan Poker’s The Elite for an impressive ₹6.66 Lakhs, netting ₹6.80 Lakhs overall.

Last night, online reg Tarush ‘Busterr’ Gupta had the eagle’s eye on PokerBaazi’s 9 PM special, the ₹1.50 Lakhs GTD 6-Max Holdem Boost. Gupta championed the tourney, earning a winner’s cheque of ₹61,649. The user ‘Ashutosh.anand7‘ finished runner-up for ₹43,256.

Gupta also took down PokerStars India’s ₹50K GTD Ultra KO 75% for ₹17,662, collectively winning ₹79.,311. He now boasts ₹60.6 Lakhs in lifetime online earnings.

The tourney collected a profitable ₹2.62 Lakhs prize pool on the back of 262 participants.
