After a gap of nearly two weeks, we are back with our Daily Majors feature. Since January 8, Team PokerGuru was in Goa to bring our readers blow-by-blow updates of the recently concluded Baazi Poker Tour (BPT) and India Poker Championship (IPC). With both series now in the books, we have returned to our regularly scheduled daily and weekly features.

As the domestic live scene takes a bit of a breather, the online action has picked up steam. Headlining the list of big guarantee events on Wednesday was Spartan Poker’s Destiny 13.0 ₹25 Lakhs GTD. The event pulled in 703 entries (277 unique, 274 re-buys, and 152 re-entries) and smashed its advertised guarantee to collect ₹35.15 Lakhs in the prize pool. ‘Dr House’ bested PokerGuru Ambassador Naresh ‘FreeFlow’ Veeravalli heads-up to clinch the title and top prize of ₹8.13 Lakhs. Veeravalli took home ₹6.62 Lakhs for his runner-up finish. Veeravalli also final tabled the Ultimate PLO ₹2 Lakhs GTD, finishing fourth for ₹23,049.

While the January 2020 edition of the IPC was a phenomenal success, Spartan Poker has a lot more coming up later this week. Slated to run for 17 days till February 9, the series comprises of 99 exciting tournaments, offering a never-before-seen ₹16 Crores+ in prize pool guarantees! The series will also host three Millionaire events, namely The Millionaire X5 (January 24 to 26), The Millionaire Legends (January 31 to February 2), and The Millionaire Main Event (February 3 to 9)!

The site’s Wednesday signature event, G.O.A ₹20 Lakhs GTD, registered 455 runners (271 unique and 184 re-entries), leading to a prize pool collection of ₹22.75 Lakhs. Priyank ‘Piko1432’ Kothari championed the event to win ₹4.15 Lakhs, while Guneet ‘guntz’ Kwatra placed second for ₹3.01 Lakhs.

The talented Sriharsha ‘ivey2’ Doddapaneni took down PokerBaazi’s Grinders #14 6-Max Wednesday SuperStack ₹3 Lakhs GTD, after outlasting PokerGuru Ambassador Ashish ‘rocky3705’ Ahuja heads-up.
