There was a noticeable spike in action with the Tuesday flagships offering bigger guarantees compared to the relatively slow Monday. Despite this, almost all the flagships experienced overlays. It`s a massive weekend coming up ahead with Spartan Poker running its final Millionaire edition of the month from August 28-30.

Here is a complete recap of all that transpired yesterday.

Spartan Poker

Spartan Poker played host to the biggest guaranteed tournament of the day, the ₹18 Lakhs GTD Mega Stack. Despite the downward revision in the tourney’s guarantee, a turnout of 567 entries resulted in the site having to fill in the shortfall of ₹99,000. After almost eight hours of play, mystery user ‘D. Carwin1’ came out on top to win the title and ₹3.49 Lakhs. This was the player’s second title on the site and their best score so far. Their overall winnings on the site have reached ₹9.86 Lakhs, but the player is still in the loss for ₹99,226. The runner-up prize went to Rohan ‘Redington’ Soman, who took home ₹2.21 Lakhs for his efforts.

The Race also had its guarantee slashed by ₹50,000 to ₹7 Lakhs. The tourney registered 437 entries to fall ₹44,500 short of the listed guarantee. After agreeing to a heads-up deal, Madhab ‘madhabpal2017’ Pal edged past ‘rnbice’ (runner-up for ₹1.1 Lakhs) to win ₹1.24 Lakhs in prize money. Pal has logged in ₹12.17 Lakhs in earnings on Spartan Poker but is still in the red.

Tuesday also marked the start of Spartan Poker’s multi-flight tourney, the ₹10 Lakhs GTD Velocity. The first of its five starting flights garnered 159 entries, and after almost four hours of play, only 17 players made it across to Day 2. Ravinder ‘jason’ Singh (172,354), ‘Kingkong655’ (161,487), and Vivek ‘acchemicals’ Karwa (136,771) bagged the top three stacks of the day.

PokerBaazi

PokerBaazi’s Tuesday extravaganza, the ₹15 Lakhs GTD Endeavour, logged in 401 entries to post a deficit of ₹96,500. Akshay ‘fsociety’ Dhingra outlasted the competition to win ₹3.15 Lakhs. This is the second time this year that Dhingra has won this event, boosting his lifetime winnings to ₹67.73 Lakhs. The runner-up ‘md20’ received ₹2.21 Lakhs.

The ₹3 Lakhs GTD Tuesday MonsterStack registered 204 entries, collecting a profitable ₹4.08 Lakhs in the prize pool. Deepanjan ‘Bluffstar’ Das collected his best score on the site worth ₹98,532, just as Sameer ‘Killersam’ Tavanandi finished runner-up for ₹69,074.

It’s Tuesday marquee, the ₹7 Lakhs GTD Sixth Sense, could only muster 174 entries, to post an overlay of ₹1.78 Lakhs – the most across all the flagships yesterday. The top three finalists decided on a deal that saw ‘asdfmrinal’ take down the title for ₹1.11 Lakhs. The runner-up, Anmolraj ‘modi chai wala’ Singh Chawla settled for a ₹91,987 payout.
