PokerBaazi’s ₹35 Crores GTD WPT India Online series turned up the heat with an action-packed Day 2 schedule featuring five events and a staggering ₹1.60 Crores in guaranteed prize money. The day’s highlight was undoubtedly the ₹70 Lakhs GTD WPTO#9 Warm-Up, a 7:30 PM showdown that attracted a strong field of 468 players (886 total entries). This wasn’t just another tournament; it was a battleground where seasoned sharks, ambitious newcomers, and everyone in between clashed for the coveted title and a potentially life-changing payday.

And then there was ‘Treys, a name whispered in the online poker community. This player has been haunting PokerBaazi’s mid-stakes tournaments since September 2023. With over 4,600 events to their name, ‘Treys’ is a true enigma, appearing and vanishing like a phantom yet always leaving a trail of victories in their wake. On this Monday night, the legend grew.

‘Treys’ not only conquered the WPTO#9 Warm-Up, but they did so with an air of dominance rarely seen. After an almost nine-hour marathon, they seized the championship title and a staggering ₹11.56 Lakhs (a new personal best), marking their first-ever WPT Online victory and an astounding 19th title on PokerBaazi in 2024 alone. This triumph came just days after their victory in The Endeavour Lite, proving that ‘Treys’ is a force to be reckoned with.

But ‘Treys’ wasn’t satisfied with just the victory. They also made a deep run in WPT#10 Superstack, finishing 22nd for ₹14,940, bringing their total winnings for the night to over ₹11.71 Lakhs. This impressive performance catapulted them to #12 on the ₹50 Lakhs GTD WPT India Online leaderboard with 2,010 points from three cashes.

This mysterious player ended the night second on the Monday charts, just behind POY#3 Nishaanth Shanmughasundaram, who had an incredible run in Natural8 India’s Bounty Hunters HR Mystery Paradise 525, finishing third for a mind-blowing ₹27.60 Lakhs.

Meanwhile, Ankit ‘d00mtr00p3r’ Wadhawan, the 2023 Player of the Year #5, experienced the bitter taste of a near-miss again. Despite his undeniable skills and a recent string of successes – including a win in Junglee Poker’s Blockbuster Highroller and three final table appearances in Spartan Poker’s Ignite, Adda52’s The Mint and Big Whale, and PokerBaazi’s Summit Lite – Wadhawan fell short of his first WPT Online title, finishing as the runner-up for the second night in a row.

In the WPTO#9 Warm-Up, Wadhawan found himself locked in a fierce battle with ‘Treys,’ mirroring his clash with ‘ayyappa1963’ in the Megastack on Sunday, refusing to give an inch with two bullets of his own. While he had to settle for second place, he still walked away with a massive ₹7.70 Lakhs – his biggest online score of the year, pushing him past the ₹2 Crore mark in annual earnings.

Wadhawan’s remarkable Monday performance included three more deep runs, racking up over ₹7.95 Lakhs in winnings and storming to the top of the WPT India Online leaderboard with 3,250 points from an impressive seven cashes out of the 10 WPT Online events he’s already played in the series.

The Goa-based player conquered the ₹30 Lakhs GTD WPTO#7 Megastack, proving that his WTF win last month was just a taste of things to come.

Manash Kalita
Manash Kalita

Kalita has a growing reputation, and his recent resurgence has been inspiring. After a 5.5-month dry spell, he broke through with a victory in the WTF last month and hasn’t looked back since. He’s been grinding non-stop, racking up nine deep runs leading up to this incredible victory. With this latest win in the Megastack (his first-ever WPT Online title), Kalita is building a formidable poker resume.

The former The Millionaire Lite champion had his eyes on the prize from the moment he entered the 5:30 PM flagship event. He battled relentlessly for over nine hours, outlasting a packed field of 1,157 entries (623 unique). The tension was palpable as Kalita navigated his way to victory, grabbing a stunning ₹4.53 Lakhs – his biggest online score this year! This win also catapulted him to #24 on the WPT India Online leaderboard. Remember, the top 25 places get paid at the end of the festival on December 22.

Day 2 of PokerBaazi’s ₹35 Crore GTD WPT India Online was a poker feast, with five exciting tournaments on the menu. But the real action was in the ₹25 Lakhs GTD WPTO#8 (6-Max) Hyper Turbo, a 6:30 PM event that promised a fast and furious battle.

And it delivered! After four hours and 13 minutes of virtual card combat, a familiar name rose to the top: Manoj ‘killbill’ Pentakota. He took down the tournament in style, claiming his first-ever WPT Online title and a cool ₹2.97 Lakhs after a heads-up deal.

Manoj Pentakota
Manoj Pentakota

If you’ve been around the Indian poker scene for a while, you know Pentakota’s name. This isn’t some newcomer; he is a legend. He first shot to fame in September 2016 when he conquered Spartan Poker’s first-ever The Millionaire title. The Vishakhapatnam-based player has been crushing online tournaments ever since, with victories in The Millionaire Legends, IOPC January 2020 High Roller, and PokerBaazi’s G.O.A. He’d been taking a break from online MTTs, playing only sporadically throughout the year. After a month, he finally returned to the grind specifically for this WPT India Online series, and it has already paid off in a big way!

Here’s where it gets even more interesting. Pentakota almost won a WPT Online title three years ago at the ₹25 Crores GTD WPT Online India on Adda52. He made a deep run in the WPT India Super Highroller but lost the heads-up battle against Young Gun Gaurav Sood.

Last night, Pentakota was determined to seize his second chance at WPT glory. He charged through a field of 723 entries (364 unique), fired two bullets, and, after a heads-up deal, finally claimed his first major title in four years and his best online score of the year! And to top it off, Pentakota also min-cashed PokerBaazi’s WPTO#6 Deepstack, adding another ₹2,662 for his 218th place finish, bringing his total earnings for the day to over ₹3 Lakhs.

Manoj Pentakota’s online stats (excluding Natural8 India, Junglee Poker and Pocket52): Lifetime Winnings: ₹2.05 Crores | Lifetime Profits: ₹81.65 Lakhs | Titles Won in 2024: #1

But the night wasn’t without its share of near misses. Deepak ‘3streakbluff’ Singh came close to ending his 10-week title drought in two flagship events, heartbreakingly finishing runner-up in both.

Deepak Singh
Deepak Singh

Singh’s quest for the elusive win began in PokerBaazi’s WPTO#8 (6-Max) Hyper Turbo. He came in hot, firing five bullets, and narrowly missed out on what would have been his sixth WPT Online title (his first in this series). He had to settle for second place, but thanks to a heads-up deal, he still walked away with the biggest share of the ₹25 Lakhs prize pool, worth ₹3.28 Lakhs.

But wait, there’s more! The former Mega Millions champion was simultaneously running deep in Adda52’s Iron Man, where he once again finished runner-up, this time for ₹1.30 Lakhs. With five cashes on Monday alone, Singh’s total earnings topped ₹5.08 Lakhs. He’s now sitting pretty at #13 on the ₹50 Lakhs WPT India Online leaderboard with six WPTO cashes.

> 2nd in PokerBaazi’s WPTO#8 (6-Max) Hyper Turbo for ₹3,27,603* (heads-up deal)

> 2nd in Adda52’s Iron Man for ₹1,29,796

> 13th in PokerBaazi’s WPTO#7 Megastack for ₹25,055

> 114th in PokerBaazi’s WPTO#9 Warm-Up for ₹15,409

> 22nd in PokerBaazi’s WPTO#6 Deepstack for ₹10,457

Deepak Singh’s online stats (excluding Natural8 India, Junglee Poker and Pocket52): Lifetime Winnings: ₹7.74 Crores | Lifetime Profits: ₹2.35 Crores | Titles Won in 2024: #15 | Annual Winnings: ₹1.88 Crores | Annual Profits: ₹83.64 Lakhs | Moves to #13 on the ₹50 Lakhs WPT India Online Leaderboard

The WPTO#8 (6-Max) Hyper Turbo final table was not lacking star power, featuring top names like Sunday’s WPTO#3 Megastack finalist, Young Gun Shardul ‘duuurrrr’ Parthasarathi (3rd for ₹1.85 Lakhs), last week’s Daily Last Chance champion Surbhit ‘grovahova’ Grover (5th for ₹1.19 Lakhs), and Amit ‘Zombiefish’ Tejura (6th for ₹96,000).

And if the action wasn’t hot enough, a massive ₹6.14 Lakhs overlay made the WPTO#8 (6-Max) Hyper Turbo irresistible. The top 108 finishers scored at least ₹7,500 – 2.5 times the ₹3,000 buy-in. It was a profitable night for many, and it certainly kept the excitement of the WPT India Online series burning bright.

The 35 Crores GTD WPT India Online, brought to you by PokerBaazi, India’s leading online poker platform in a groundbreaking collaboration with WPT, continues to be a hotbed of intense competition and jaw-dropping wins. Day 2 of the series was no different, featuring five thrilling events with a combined 1.60 Crores in guaranteed prizes.

But amidst the flurry of action, one player stood out from the crowd: Naman ‘instamuckk’ Agrawal, one of the June Baazi Millionaires. This Delhi-based poker prodigy, who’s been playing MTTs on PokerBaazi for a little over a year, has been turning heads with his incredible run of success. On Monday night, he once again clinched the spotlight by conquering the 20 Lakhs GTD WPTO#10 Superstack!

Naman Agrawal
Naman Agrawal

Agrawal’s rise in the online poker scene has been nothing short of inspirational. He burst onto the scene in June with his first title in the BSS Super Value. Since then, he’s had a lot more success in the big flagships, racking up two wins in the Indian Poker Masters in August, taking down The Endeavour in October, and The Big Show just last month.

Monday night’s victory was a nail-biter. Agrawal fired two bullets into the 9 PM flagship and battled for over nine hours against a guarantee-crushing field of 1,591 entries (801 unique). As the tension mounted and the chips flew, Agrawal kept his cool, outmanoeuvring his opponents one by one. Finally, when the dust settled, he was the last player standing, claiming the top prize of 4.15 Lakhs and his sixth title of the year.

What’s even more remarkable is that Agrawal has achieved all this in a relatively short period. A staggering 94% of his lifetime winnings on PokerBaazi have come this year alone. While this latest win is his sixth-largest score to date, all of his top ten scores have been recorded in this phenomenal year!

But the accolades didn’t stop there. Agrawal also delivered two deep runs in other WPT Online events, bringing his total winnings for the day to almost 4.32 Lakhs. His Monday performance has helped him jump to #5 on the 50 Lakhs GTD WPT India Online leaderboard with 2,542 points from five scores in the series.

> 1st in PokerBaazi’s WPT#10 Superstack for 4,15,012

> 41st in PokerBaazi’s WPT#8 (6-Max) Hyper Turbo for 12,500

While Agrawal was busy crushing the competition, Dwiti ‘Dstar’ Rahule was also making a name for himself. This former Game Changer sixth-place finisher gave Agrawal a run for his money in the WPTO#10 Superstack, eventually finishing as runner-up after three entries. Despite falling short of the top spot, Rahule still walked away with a respectable 2.21 Lakhs – his best score of the year.

Dwiti Rahule’s online stats (PokerBaazi and Adda52): Lifetime Winnings: 1.31 Crores | Lifetime Profits: 49.09 Lakhs | Titles Won in 2024: #2

The WPT#10 Superstack’s final table featured a mix of rising stars, including the 1000X#29 runner-up from earlier this year Sahil ‘saahil11’ Aggarwal (3rd for 1.73 Lakhs), last week’s Daily Last Chance finalist Samarth ’tiltsingh’ Bhandari (4th for 1,33,911), Nikhil ‘nuts98’ M (5th for 1,04,030), Akash ‘hell12’ Singhal (6th for 76,916), ‘NoobAlert’ (7th for 62,252), and ’roundRobin’ (8th for 47,865).

With a buy-in of 2,000, WPTO#10 Superstack more than delivered, smashing its guarantee with a prize pool that ballooned to 27.67 Lakhs. The top 232 finishers got a piece of the pie, with even a min-cash awarding a sweet 3,873 – a great way to kick off the week for many players.

Imagine this: a guarantee-crushing field of 1,458 entries (722 unique), a gruelling eight-hour and 41-minute battle, and Khatsuria navigating it all like a seasoned pro. He didn’t just win; he dominated, claiming his first-ever WPT Online title and a handsome ₹1.80 Lakhs payday through a three-way deal. This win was Khatsuria’s fourth-highest score on PokerBaazi, his second title of the year, and it rocketed him to #15 on the ₹50 Lakhs WPT India Online leaderboard, offsetting over a third of his past losses in the process.

But the competition was fierce. Peushup ‘RoyalRelic’ Eugene, a seasoned regular fresh off a BSS Super Value win, was also gunning for WPT glory. He fired a staggering six bullets in the WPTO#6 Deepstack, determined to take it down. But alas, he had to settle for a heartbreaking runner-up finish. Still, he walked away with the lion’s share of the prize pool, worth ₹1.98 Lakhs from the three-way deal. Eugene also picked up an additional score in the WPT#7 Megastack (67th for ₹8,452), raking in over ₹2.06 Lakhs on Monday.

While the afternoon and evening were buzzing with high-stakes action at PokerBaazi’s ₹35 Crores GTD WPT India Online, the ₹10 Lakhs GTD Daily Last Chance kept the poker fire burning well into Tuesday morning.

With so much happening on the site and many regulars focused on the ₹50 Lakhs WPT India Online leaderboard, some players opted to skip this late-night flagship to be fresh for the next day’s grind. And even though the tournament fell short of its guarantee, the competition was fierce as 212 players (383 entries) piled into the 10:30 PM event, ready for a battle.

And a battle it was! Nearly six hours later, Rising Star Aman ‘KarmaPoker’ Parakh emerged from the fray, clutching the ₹1.62 Lakhs first-place prize. This was no easy feat; Parakh had to fire six bullets to navigate the treacherous waters of the Daily Last Chance. But this victory was sweet revenge after his runner-up finish in Sunday’s Pocket Kings and his first time winning this event. It was also his second flagship victory in four days (after his Godfather win last week) – talk about a hot streak!

Parakh, a back-to-back India Turbo Masters Main Event champion, is a grinder in the truest sense. He didn’t just conquer the Daily Last Chance; he went on to make deep runs in four other tournaments, racking up over ₹2.27 Lakhs in winnings by the end of his marathon session.

The Daily Last Chance also saw ‘Shakespeare, a familiar face on PokerBaazi since July 2021, come within a whisker of their first online flagship victory. They fought hard but had to settle for the runner-up spot and a site-best ₹1.15 Lakhs – over five times their previous best score from a Midnight SPRINT win in October.

The Daily Last Chance final table featured a host of familiar faces, including Abhinav ‘AffableSatan’ Bhanot (5th for ₹49,000) and Mithilesh ‘Quest4Best’ Choubey (8th for ₹26,500).

With a buy-in of ₹2,500, the Daily Last Chance fell short of its advertised guarantee by ₹1.67 Lakhs. But the ₹10 Lakhs prize pool still offered incredible value, with the top 51 places getting a piece of the action and the min-cash set at a generous ₹6,000. For those who braved the late-night competition, the Daily Last Chance was a profitable adventure.

Monday night on Adda52 was a wild one! Forget the usual suspects; this was a night where new blood shook things up, and a fresh face took centre stage. Ajendra ‘AJENDRA20’ Gound stormed the ₹8 Lakhs GTD Iron Man, announcing his arrival with a bang.

Gound might be a newcomer to Adda52, having just started playing in November, but this player has been quietly honing their skills in freerolls and satellites, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. And strike they did.

Facing a tough field of 407 entries (206 unique) in the 8 PM flagship event, Gound showed skill and composure that belied his newbie status. They fearlessly navigated through the tournament, earning a spot at the final table. And when the dust settled, Gound stood tall, claiming their first-ever title on the platform and a well-deserved ₹1.77 Lakhs in prize money!

But the Iron Man wasn’t just the Ajendra Gound show. Deepak ‘peacelover’ Singh, the poker maestro and reigning NPS India 2024 Podium Leaderboard champion, was also in the mix. Looking to break a 10-week title drought (he last won The Mint), Singh had his eyes on not one but two titles last night: PokerBaazi’s WPTO#8 (6-Max) Hyper Turbo and Adda52’s Iron Man.

Deepak Singh
Deepak Singh

He came tantalizingly close in both. First, in the Hyper Turbo, he finished runner-up, adding ₹3.28 Lakhs to his bankroll—his eighth-best score of the year. Then, almost three hours later, he found himself in the same position in the Iron Man, pocketing another ₹1.30 Lakhs. Singh is already a three-time champion in this event, and for a while, it looked like he might add a fourth title to his resume. But it wasn’t meant to be this time.

Still, Singh had a monster night, with deep runs in three other tournaments and total winnings exceeding ₹5.08 Lakhs. He’s currently sitting at #13 on the ₹50 Lakhs WPT India Online leaderboard.

The Iron Man final table brought together two familiar names: last month’s The Pride finalist, Gurpal ‘TheUndecided777’ Singh, who placed fourth for ₹69,737, and poker coach Mithun ‘Intuitionn’ Mahesh, last month’s Big Whale champion, who finished sixth for ₹37,469.

The ₹2,750 buy-in Iron Man blew past its ₹8 Lakhs guarantee, creating a juicier ₹9.77 Lakhs prize pool. The top 63 finishers got a taste of the action, with payouts starting at ₹4,935 – almost double the buy-in! It was a rewarding start to the week for many players on Adda52 and a reminder that in poker, anything is possible.

The Indian online poker scene is on fire right now, and Pocket52 is right in the middle of the action! Last night, the 7 Lakhs GTD Pocket Jacks was the place to be, and a familiar face came out on top. Pradip ‘CalmMind’ Ghosh, the notorious “SPRINT King” from Durgapur, just keeps winning! And he took down the Pocket Jacks, adding another trophy to his fast-growing collection.

Ghosh has been on a hot streak lately. He crushed the Pocket Rockets on Pocket52 just last week and carried that winning energy into the Pocket Jacks. He had to outlast a packed field of 252 players (132 unique) in the 8 PM flagship, but after more than seven and a half hours of intense poker action, Ghosh proved he was the best. This win earned him a cool 1.70 Lakhs – his fourth-biggest score on Pocket52 and his third title on the platform this year.

Ghosh wasn’t done winning just yet. He also cashed in three different WPT Online events on PokerBaazi. By the end of the day, he had racked up over 2.15 Lakhs in winnings.

While Ghosh was the star of the show, we can’t forget about ‘Akshit_bunny. This player might be relatively new to Pocket52 (they’ve only been playing for seven weeks!), but they almost pulled off a huge upset. ‘Akshit_bunny’ came incredibly close to winning their second title but finished in second place. Still, it was their biggest payday on Pocket52, taking home 1.19 Lakhs.

Akshit_bunny’s Pocket52 stats: Site Winnings: 3.55 Lakhs | Site Profits: 1.16 Lakhs | Titles Won in 2024: #1

The 3,300 buy-in Pocket Jacks smashed its advertised 7 Lakhs guarantee, generating a prize pool of 7.23 Lakhs. The top 27 finishers shared the spoils, with even the min-cash worth 7,594—a generous 2.3x return on the buy-in. The tournament proved a fantastic start to the week, offering big rewards to players across the board.
