Diwali, the festival of lights and sparkles, is upon us, and poker sites have gone on overdrive with promotions to light up the annual festivities for players. However, even amidst all the promotions, the online MTT action has been sluggish.

Monday`s are typically the slowest day of the week for online MTT players, and not surprisingly, most flagships yesterday ended up filling in significant overlays.

Driving the Monday action were two ₹8 Lakhs GTD MTTs, Spartan Poker`s ReCharge, and Adda52`s Iron Man.

BLITZPOKER user Nishkarsh Madavi took down the ReCharge for ₹1.48 Lakhs after striking a heads-up deal with Ekagro Vason (2nd for ₹1.35 Lakhs).

The mystery player ‘confabhi’ claimed the Iron Man title for a site-best ₹2 Lakhs, defeating ‘Fletcher03’ (2nd for ₹1.21 Lakhs) heads-up.

PokerBaazi’s The Big Show ended in a four-way deal between ‘Deadmansong’ (1st for ₹1.28 Lakhs), Arjun Bhadauriya (2nd for ₹1.19 Lakhs), ‘ChipsGenerator‘ (3rd for ₹1,15,478) & Suresh Kolli (4th for ₹98,141).

The user ‘chacha Chaudhary’ shipped Spartan Poker’s second Monday marquee, the Deepstack, to win ₹86,015. ‘Brijesh Rao placed runner-up for ₹56,565.

Clinton Tavares proved to be the biggest winner on PokerStars India as he trounced a 179-strong field in Battle Royale, banking a personal-best ₹1.01 Lakhs. He made away with ₹1.13 Lakhs in Monday winnings.

Raghav Ananth came out on top in Adda52’s Voyager to win ₹80,000. Shubhadip Dasgupta finished runner-up for ₹48,480.

Archit Saraogi, Mohak Kapoor, Chandan Majumdar, Sandeep Varma, and Prince Singh shipped the other marquee titles.

Here are the Monday highlights!

Spartan Poker`s ₹8 Lakhs GTD ReCharge made another scheduled run last night, and a starting field of 337 entries led to the site filling in ₹1.26 Lakhs in overlays. The proceedings wrapped under eight hours with BLITZPOKER user and former Sunday Superstack finalist Nishkarsh ‘Yeezy’ Madavi walking away with the title and ₹1.48 Lakhs in prize money. He chopped the event heads-up with Ekagro ‘TipsyGypsey’ Vason (2nd for ₹1.35 Lakhs), booking his 10th title victory of the year.
