Mondays are notorious for being slow days as far as online poker is concerned. Barring MPL Poker’s budget series Steal Deal Series 5, no flagship online series was running, and the tournament lineup featured the usual modest guarantees synonymous with Mondays.
However, the online MTT action will almost certainly be back in top gear once the fourth edition of PokerBaazi`s ₹10 Crores-plus GTD Asian Poker Tour (APT) India Online Series (July 1 – 10) takes flight on Friday.
Nitin Rawat topped the Monday charts for he won PokerBaazi’s The Big Show for ₹2.21 Lakhs, picking up his second flagship title on the site in three days. The poker streamer cashed another four events for a total take-home worth almost ₹2.51 Lakhs.
Last week`s Mega Suits champion ‘boosterx’ shipped Adda52`s Iron Man for ₹2.11 Lakhs. The #BB6 MoneyMaker runner-up finisher Saransh Garg lost the heads-up battle, collecting ₹1.28 Lakhs in second place (his 7th runner-up finish this year).
Spartan Poker’s Monday headliner ReCharge logged in a guarantee-crushing field that played down to a four-way deal. Dhaval Solanki won the title for a site-best ₹1,25 Lakhs, with ‘simsimpola’ (2nd for ₹1.19 Lakhs), this week`s Sunday Superstack third-place finisher Siddhanth Kapoor (3rd for ₹98,262), and Meet Jariwala (4th for ₹95,080) banking the other top payouts, courtesy of the FT deal.
Arjun Baskaran clinched his second (7-Max) Daily SPRINT title on PokerBaazi for ₹1.18 Lakhs and added ₹1.21 Lakhs in Monday winnings. Shrey Baj placed second for ₹82,550 and cashed ₹1.07 Lakhs (overall) across three ITM finishes.
PokerBaazi loyalist Karan Sitlani made it to the finish line in the (7-Max) SPRINT, grabbing the title for ₹1.15 Lakhs following a heads-up deal with Rahul Sengar (2nd for ₹1.02 Lakhs). Sitlani also cashed the Daily Boost, rounding up almost ₹1.20 Lakhs in Monday winnings.
Amar Iyer came out on top in PokerStars India`s Battle Royale for ₹89,479, with Vaibhav Temani finishing runner-up for ₹38,224.
Karan Jain won MPL Poker’s Monday Madness for ₹70,500 after beating Rohit Malhotra (2nd for ₹44,850) in heads-up play.
Ashish Pareek, Baiju Ray, Sundar Surya, Bharat Vasan, Ankit Gupta, Vikram Ved Batra, Mukesh Surana, Sanchit Anand, Nikhil Kashyap, and Ajay Singh Dasila won the other Monday marquees.
