PokerBaazi’s National Poker Series India 2025 is a runaway freight train, redefining the Indian poker landscape, and Thursday was just another stop on its record-breaking journey. It was a day for top pros to strut their stuff, a familiar face to find sweet redemption, and a poker warrior to solidify his legend. The leaderboards were a chaotic mess, proving that this poker saga is as unpredictable and competitive as it gets.
The colossal ₹100 Crore GTD beast kept on trucking, unleashing seven more events with a combined ₹2.75 Crores guaranteed. Once more, players – from grizzled veterans to hungry newcomers – jumped in with both feet, creating a monster wave of 8,936 entries. This pumped the day’s prize pool up to a mind-blowing ₹3.10 Crores. In a mere five days, this fifth edition of the NPS has already racked up a staggering 52,369 entries and dished out a jaw-dropping ₹16.70 Crores in prize money, leaving its ₹14.50 Crore guarantee in the dust.
The headlining showdown of the day was the NPS#33 Thursday Thunder! And it was here that Gurkirat Khanuja, a relative newcomer with only 14 months on PokerBaazi, pulled off a career-changing upset, scoring his first-ever victory on the platform and that shiny Gold medal. His win, sealed with a three-way deal, banked him a whopping ₹8.98 Lakhs – over 31 times his previous best score! This monumental win also made him the third player from Haryana to snag Gold in the ongoing series, sending him soaring to #2 on the State Leaderboard. With a few extra winnings piled on, his total for the night hit a massive ₹9.06 Lakhs, making him the second-biggest winner of the day at the NPS.
Divyansh Gupta also made some serious noise in the NPS#33 Thursday Thunder, landing the Silver medal—his first NPS medal—and a hefty ₹7.30 Lakhs runner-up prize, courtesy of that same three-way deal. A little extra moolah on top and his total for the night ballooned to nearly ₹7.35 Lakhs. This score didn’t just wipe out his past losses; it launched him straight to #8 on the Uttar Pradesh State Leaderboard!
Suraj Rathi was the day’s MVP at the NPS! This former NPS Silver Medalist put on a masterclass, making two final table appearances. He bagged the Bronze Medal in the NPS#33 Thursday Thunder, taking home ₹6.96 Lakhs from the three-way deal, and almost grabbed another, finishing fourth in the NPS#34 (5-Max) Big Hyper SPRINT for ₹2.53 Lakhs. With a sizzling ₹9.49 Lakhs in total earnings, he now sits at #8 on the Rajasthan State Leaderboard.
Sandeep Jaiswal crafted an epic comeback story, bagging his second-ever NPS Gold (and his first of this series) in PokerBaazi’s NPS#35 Marathon, notching his first major win in over four months and ₹5.49 Lakhs. This victory – his best of 2025 and the third-largest of his career – helped him square up some past losses and boosted him to #3 on the Uttar Pradesh State Leaderboard. Nisheeth Bhakuni scooped up the Silver, earning a platform-best ₹3.86 Lakhs. Adding another score, Bhakuni’s Thursday earnings totalled nearly ₹3.93 Lakhs, putting him at #9 on the Uttar Pradesh State Leaderboard and flipping him into profit territory on PokerBaazi.
Then there’s Snehil Aggarwal, hot off a Gold win in the NPS#14 (PLO-6) Megadive, who was itching for another NPS title. While a second Gold stayed just out of reach, he nailed down a third-place finish in the NPS#35 Marathon, scoring his first Bronze medal and ₹2.94 Lakhs. This makes him one of only four players with multiple medals in this series. Cashing in nearly every NPS flagship event on Thursday (missing only one!), Aggarwal piled up over ₹3.35 Lakhs. His consistency has not only locked in his #1 spot on the Haryana State Leaderboard but also shot him up to #2 on the overall NPS Series Leaderboard, hot on the heels of Vinay Rajpal. His two-medal haul places him at #4 on the NPC Leaderboard.
Sagar Naik, riding the high of a recent win in The Pride, stormed back into the winner’s circle, taking down PokerBaazi’s NPS#34 (5-Max) Big Hyper SPRINT. Naik clinched that coveted NPS Gold Medal—his first—and a sweet ₹5.21 Lakhs after striking a heads-up deal. Adding some flair, he also final-tabled NPS#29 (7-Max) SPRINT, finishing sixth for ₹82,200, bringing his total loot from three deep runs to a fantastic ₹6.15 Lakhs. This killer run pushed him past the ₹1 Crore milestone in tracked online winnings, placing him at #28 on the NPS Series leaderboard and elevating him to #2 on the Karnataka State leaderboard.
Varun Sareen, a recreational player known for turning heads since 2024, was also gunning for his second NPS Gold (his first of this series) in the Big Hyper SPRINT In a heads-up battle against Naik, Sareen had a slight edge and hammered out a deal that gave him a bigger payout: ₹5.39 Lakhs, but he had to settle for the Silver. Shagun Jain, a certified NPS legend, was on the hunt for his seventh Gold medal. The two-time GameChanger champion nabbed a Bronze in the Big Hyper SPRINT, adding ₹3.35 Lakhs to his bank, his 11th NPS medal overall. Jain also cashed in at least four other NPS events, bringing his total Thursday haul to over ₹4.23 Lakhs. This helped him keep his #3 rank on the Rajasthan State Leaderboard and bumped him to #11 on the NPS Series leaderboard.
But maybe the biggest story of the night belonged to Vikhyat Ahlawat! Just two days after nabbing his first-ever NPS Gold in the NPS#12 Monday Marathon, this Noida poker sharp did it again, crushing the NPS#29 (7-Max) SPRINT and pocketing ₹3.94 Lakhs. This was his second NPS Gold and his sixth NPS medal overall, making him the first player in this series to win two Golds and one of only four to earn multiple medals. Ahlawat’s incredible performance has him dominating the National Poker Champion (India) Leaderboard with 20 points, dethroning PokerBaazi Team Pro Zarvan Tumboli and extending his lead on the Uttar Pradesh State Leaderboard. His total Thursday winnings soared past ₹4.42 Lakhs across four deep runs, pushing his lifetime NPS earnings over the ₹50 Lakhs mark. This stellar performance also propelled him to #5 in the PokerBaazi 2025 POY race and #6 on the NPS Series Leaderboard.
Two-time NPS Gold Medalist Sachin Raj grabbed the Silver in the NPS#29 (7-Max) SPRINT, taking home ₹2.75 Lakhs—his first-ever Silver and third NPS medal overall. With two more scores, Raj’s Thursday total nearly hit ₹2.93 Lakhs, bumping him up to #4 on the Rajasthan State Leaderboard. Up-and-coming talent Bhavil Chopra also had a banner night, finishing third and claiming his first NPS medal (a Bronze), along with a career-best ₹2.11 Lakhs. This big score not only helped him recoup some past losses but also landed him at #20 on the fiercely competitive Delhi State Leaderboard.
The other Gold Medallists on Day 5 included Karnataka’s Advait Rajguru (Won NPS#32 PLO-5 Megadive for ₹4.93 Lakhs), Maharashtra’s Ganesh Durgade (Won NPS#30 Slamdunk for ₹2.93 Lakhs), and Chandigarh’s Ankit Wadhawan (Won NPS#31 Relay for ₹2.50 Lakhs).
The National Poker Champion (India) Leaderboard is a total warzone, with big shake-ups at the top. Vikhyat Ahlawat snagged his second gold of the series last night in the NPS#29 (7-Max) SPRINT, launching him to the #1 position with 20 points. Despite also having 20 points, PokerBaazi Team Pro Zarvan Tumboli, with 1 Gold and 2 Silver medals, has dropped to second place due to the tiebreaker criteria. Mohit Bohra now finds himself in third place with 15 points (1 Gold and 1 Silver).
Regionally, Delhi maintains its iron grip with an impressive six Gold, eight Silver, and seven Bronze medals. Maharashtra has some ground to make up with six Gold, five Silver, and four Bronze medals, while Uttar Pradesh is in third place and fast catching up with five Gold, five Silver, and four Bronze medals.
On the NPS Series Leaderboard, Vinay Rajpal is still the king of the hill with 8,680 points from 31 cashes. Snehil Agarwal, one of only four players to win multiple medals this series, has shot up to #2 with 8,380 points from 25 cashes. Zarvan Tumboli, the 2023 People’s Poker champion, now occupies the third spot with 8,220 points from 23 cashes, reflecting the dynamic and cutthroat competition of this legendary series.
Amit Kaushik, Vikram Mishra and Mohak Kapoor (who won two titles) were the other heavy hitters in the other marquees across various platforms.

He exploded back into the winner’s circle, getting his name on the board as one of the seven Gold Medalists crowned yesterday!
Fresh off a resounding victory in The Pride just a fortnight ago, Naik was clearly feeling the heat. He’d gotten a taste of NPS glory on Tuesday, coming agonizingly close to a final table in NPS#22 (4-Max) Hyper (finishing sixth). PokerBaazi’s NPS India 2025 is a runaway train of big wins, and Thursday’s action saw Sandeep ‘janspeed’ Jaiswal step out of the shadows and into the winner’s circle. This wasn’t your average victory; it was a resurrection. Jaiswal, a former NPS Gold Medalist (from the 2024 NPS#91 Friday Force), had been putting in the work, even through a rough patch. The passion was evident. And then – BAM! – he grabbed his second career Gold, conquering PokerBaazi’s ₹40 Lakhs GTD NPS#35 Marathon – his first big win in nearly four and a half months!
He’s been a warrior, facing a brutal downswing, but Jaiswal’s spirit remained unbroken. Six final table appearances since his Daily Last Chance victory in October were like warning shots, and finally, all the pieces fell into the right place.
The 9:30 PM Marathon was a monster overflowing with 1,609 entries (820 unique). Jaiswal fired two bullets, and after more than eight and a half hours of pure poker warfare, a real endurance test, he stood tall. He claimed his second NPS medal (interestingly, both Gold!) and a sweet ₹5.49 Lakhs payday – his best score of 2025 and the third-biggest of his career. This win doesn’t just pad his bankroll; it’s a sweet taste of redemption, chipping away at past losses and planting another flag for Uttar Pradesh, rocketing him to #3 on the UP State Leaderboard.

Even so, Bhakuni scooped a career-best ₹3.86 Lakhs on PokerBaazi – an incredible 22 times larger than his previous best, a score that finally pushed him into profitability on the platform!
Adding another ₹6,557 from a 75th-place finish in the NPS#30 Slamdunk swelled Bhakuni’s Thursday harvest to nearly ₹3.93 Lakhs – a serious bankroll injection for the rest of his NPS India 2025 campaign. He is now placed #9 on the UP State Leaderboard.

This score represents his seventh-biggest on the site and his third-best this year – clearly, he’s still running hot!
This makes him one of only four players to score multiple medals in the series. And Aggarwal wasn’t finished. He cashed in almost every NPS flagship on Thursday (missing out on only one), raking in over ₹3.35 Lakhs across six deep runs. He’s not just playing well; he’s cemented his lead at #1 on the Haryana State Leaderboard and climbed to #2 on the overall NPS Series Leaderboard (only behind Vinay Rajpal). Day 5 of PokerBaazi’s NPS India 2025 was another humdinger, offering a delicious mix of playing formats. But for the five-card PLO aficionados, the ₹30 Lakhs GTD NPS#32 (PLO-5) Megadive was the main course, a nine-hour-plus marathon that separated the wheat from the chaff.
The battle commenced at 6:30 PM, a chaotic, electric vortex of PLO-5 swings that attracted a whopping 1,026 entries (353 unique). Among the crowd of hopefuls was Bengaluru’s Advait ‘ExploitativeGTO’ Rajguru, a poker beast with undeniable talent. Rajguru, who finished #5 in the record-breaking 2024 POY race, has clearly carried that fire into 2025. With five major flagship titles already to his name this year, including PokerBaazi’s BSS SuperStack, Adda52’s Big Whale, and the Daily Last Chance just last week, this PokerGuru Staking coach is a constant threat.
Rajguru, having already tasted NPS Gold twice in 2023 (NPS#32 Monday Medley and NPS#58 Marathon), was clearly gunning for the triple crown, and last night, he nailed it, ending a two-year gap since his last NPS Gold.
The PLO-5 showdown was a seesaw affair. Rajguru, showing calculated aggression, fired four bullets before finally finding his winning groove. This wasn’t just another victory; it was a powerful statement that he’s equally adept at both NLHE and PLO-5 – a point he’d already underscored with his Big PLO-5 win three weeks prior! The ₹4.93 Lakhs first-place prize was his second-largest NPS score and his third-biggest of the year, adding more shine to his already impressive poker record. This victory gave him his fifth NPS medal and his first of the current series. It also stands as his all-time best score in a PLO flagship on PokerBaazi.
With deep runs in three other NPS events, his Thursday night winnings piled up to over ₹5.26 Lakhs, pushing him to #3 on PokerBaazi’s 2025 POY Leaderboard. He’s also now leading the charge on the Karnataka State Leaderboard and holding steady at #7 on the NPC Leaderboard. PokerBaazi’s NPS India 2025 is the proving ground where legends are being made, and Thursday witnessed a performance for the ages. Noida’s poker ace, Vikhyat ‘supersaiyan57’ Ahlawat, didn’t just win; he made history. Ahlawat became the first player in this series to grab two Gold Medals.
Just two days after claiming his first-ever NPS Gold in the NPS#12 Monday Marathon, Ahlawat went back-to-back, conquering the ₹30 Lakhs GTD NPS#29 (7-Max) SPRINT. He’s clearly playing a different game than everyone else.
Ahlawat’s run in the ₹2,875 buy-in NPS#29 (7-Max) SPRINT was a display of pure poker power. Kicking off the day’s action, the 2:30 PM flagship drew a massive 1,370-entry field (614 unique), making for a gruelling yet intense 7.5-hour showdown.
After an initial setback and having to reload, Ahlawat came back with guns blazing. He clawed back from the brink, being the shortest stack with only four players left. He was so sure of victory that he dismissed a heads-up deal, eventually seizing the crown and a handsome ₹3.94 Lakhs – his second NPS Gold (his sixth NPS medal overall). This win didn’t just line his pockets; it launched him to the #1 spot on the National Poker Champion (India) Leaderboard with 20 points, dethroning PokerBaazi Team Pro Zarvan Tumboli. He’s also extended his lead on the Uttar Pradesh State Leaderboard.
This win puts Ahlawat in a very exclusive club. He’s one of only four to grab multiple medals at NPS India 2025, joining Zarvan Tumboli (1 Gold, 2 Silvers), Mohit Bohra (1 Gold, 1 Silver), and Snehil Aggarwal (1 Gold, 1 Bronze). Snehil Aggarwal also scored his second medal (Bronze) last night alongside Ahlawat!
As if that wasn’t enough, Ahlawat also final-tabled Adda52’s Monster Turbo PKO, finishing fifth for ₹23,910, and added two more NPS cashes to his tally. His total Thursday winnings soared past ₹4.42 Lakhs, pushing his lifetime NPS earnings over ₹50 Lakhs. His incredible performance also sent him soaring to #5 in the PokerBaazi 2025 POY race and #6 on the NPS Series Leaderboard with 6.90K points!

Day 5 of PokerBaazi’s NPS India 2025 wasn’t just another Thursday – it was a day of breakthroughs and hard-won triumphs! And the spotlight was blazing on Pune’s mid-stakes regular, Ganesh ‘ganesh24’ Durgade. He finally landed that major win he’d been chasing, and oh boy, did he pick the perfect moment to do it.
Durgade, a player who’s sported a Silver Medal from the 2022 NPS#60 PLO5 Heavy Weight and three Bronze ones, has been relentlessly hunting for that big-time score. With six wins already in his pocket this year, including a recent MMA8 Max PKO victory, Durgade finally had his “mic drop” moment. He steamrolled PokerBaazi’s ₹25 Lakhs GTD NPS#30 Slamdunk, claiming his first-ever NPS Gold Medal in a performance that was pure domination.
The 4 PM Slamdunk, the second NPS event on the day`s lineup, was overflowing. A crowd of 609 players (generating 1,261 total entries) went to war in a clash that lasted almost eight and a half hours. This win sent him rocketing to the #2 spot on the Maharashtra State Leaderboard, hot on the heels of PokerBaazi Team Pro Zarvan Tumboli.
Durgade is a known grinder, and he played a full schedule, cashing in all but one NPS event. He put a perfect cap on his most successful and memorable online run, accumulating nearly ₹3.39 Lakhs in total winnings.

Day 5 of PokerBaazi’s NPS India 2025 exploded with another chapter of epic poker stories! It saw many top pros showing off their skills, a familiar player striking gold for a second time, and a true poker titan adding another gold to his already overflowing trophy case. The leaderboards got a good shake-up, proving that this poker saga is far from a predictable tale.
But Ankit ‘d00mtr00p3r’ Wadhawan‘s story is one for the books. This poker powerhouse pulled off a serious comeback, snatching his second-ever NPS Gold Medal (and his first this series!), his ninth NPS medal in total. He crushed PokerBaazi’s ₹20 Lakhs GTD NPS#31 Relay, ending a victory silence that had stretched since his Adda52 Ferris Wheel win back in mid-December.
Wadhawan is a proven heavy-hitter, a player who’s always a danger in some of the biggest online battles. He’s been knocking on the door of a win, with more than six final table appearances in 2025 so far. He even came oh-so-close to a podium finish in Monday’s NPS#11 Knockout (PKO).
A former NPS Gold Medalist, dating back to the 2021 NPS#30 (7-Max) Deepstack Championship, Wadhawan’s four-year hunt for another Gold finally ended last night. In the 5:30 PM NPS#31 Relay, he outplayed a monstrous field of 1,451 entries (684 unique) in a grinding session of seven hours and 47 minutes. Wadhawan, who also represented the second runner-up Lucknow Kings in Pocket52 PSL Season 6, fired three bullets, and that determination landed him a very sweet ₹2.50 Lakhs prize!
But Wadhawan wasn’t settling for just one deep run. He was all over the place, cashing in almost every NPS event (except one), piling up total Thursday winnings close to ₹3.26 Lakhs. This power move boosted him to #2 on the Chandigarh State Leaderboard and #48 on the overall NPS Series Leaderboard.
