It was again a relatively slow Tuesday with most of the flagships registering overlays. Today is a special day as the first-ever 2020 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Online series kicks off on WSOP.com. So without further ado, let’s do a recap of Tuesday`s action.
Spartan Poker
The featured tournament of the day on Spartan Poker was the ₹20 Lakhs GTD Mega Stack. The ₹3,300 buy-in tourney logged in 648 entries, having to fill in an overlay of ₹56,000. The heads-up play took place between Sumit ‘Sands Myth’ Sapra and Amar ‘Laughing Buddha’ Mehta (runner-up for ₹2.44 Lakhs). Finally, it was the more experienced Sapra who came out on top to win ₹3.87 Lakhs. One of the big winners in June, Sapra closed out the month with a bang, posting two FT finishes. His other deep run was an eighth-place finish in The Race for ₹19,325 that helped his collect over ₹4 Lakhs on Tuesday. Sapra is currently sitting in #11th position on the yearly leaderboard with ₹1.55 Crores in winnings. The runner-up Mehta also FT-ed two flagship tourneys last night. His second FT run was a seventh-place finish in PokerBaazi`s The Endeavour for ₹50,400.
The other Tuesday flagship, the ₹7.5 Lakhs GTD Race, registered a turnout of 528 entries collecting ₹7.92 Lakhs in the prize pool kitty. In the end, the anonymous player ‘andydlf3’ topped the event for ₹1.54 Lakhs, defeating Young Gun Gaurav ‘mozzie17’ Sood (runner-up for ₹98,050) in the heads-up play. Sood has been the numero uno player in the country for over seven weeks straight, and with ₹2.36 Crores in annual winnings, he is also the only player in the country with recorded winnings exceeding ₹2 Crores.
PokerBaazi
PokerBaazi’s Tuesday flagship, The Endeavour, logged in a 413-strong field, falling ₹54,400 short of the ₹15 Lakhs GTD prize pool. Shyam ‘ayyappa1963’ Sundar was the last player standing and took home ₹3.02 Lakhs. Kunal ‘VasooliChacha’ Patni, who has been in breakout form these last three months, placed runner-up for ₹2.11 Lakhs and presently boasts of ₹1.78 Crores in recorded career winnings. He was among the top winners on Sunday for his runner-up finish in Adda52’s AOPS Full House Finale for ₹12.60 Lakhs.
The third edition of PokerBaazi’s the Game Changer that offers a colossal ₹2 Crores GTD for a buy-in of ₹5,500, kicks-off today. The uber-popular tourney has played out two successful editions previously. Prashanth Sekar had championed the inaugural Game Changer for ₹33 Lakhs following a four-way ICM deal. Shagun Jain had taken down the second edition for ₹40.78 Lakhs.
Adda52
Heading towards the business end of its most massive online series ever, Adda52 played host to another busy day of tournament action on Tuesday. The star attraction of the day was the ₹25 Lakhs GTD AOPS Cowboys. The event registered a field of 621 entries to witness an overlay of about ₹16,000. Jairam ‘Keyser_Soze’ Parab was the last player standing in the field and walked away with a career-best ₹5.88 Lakhs. The online reg has been crushing the AOPS series as this was his sixth AOPS title. He also FT-ed the AOPS Afterparty PKO yesterday, finishing fifth for ₹18,681.
Gaurav ‘Dealer11’ Sharma finished runner-up in the AOPS Cowboys to win ₹3.42 Lakhs.
The other marquee tourney on the site was the ₹8 Lakhs GTD AOPS Hexagram. The ₹2,200 buy-in tourney generated a profitable ₹9.72 Lakhs prize pool on the back of 486 entries. Championing the competition was Sethuram ‘acepoker7325’ Kannan, who won a personal-best score ₹1.86 Lakhs, following a three-way deal with ‘anonymously_pro’ (runner-up for ₹1.65 Lakhs) and Chirag ‘mahikk’ Bhardwaj (3rd for ₹1.25 Lakhs)
PokerStars India
Boasting a ₹8 Lakhs prize pool guarantee, the ₹3,300 buy-in Sixth Sense brought together 276 entries, to accrue ₹8.28 Lakhs in the prize pool. This was a ₹2 Lakhs decrease in the guarantee given the consistent overlays. In the end, Shashank ‘Goldfish097’ Shekhar outlasted the competition to win ₹1.5 Lakhs for his efforts. Ranjeet ‘Bedevilforyou’ Negi came in second for ₹1.08 Lakhs.
The ₹5 Lakhs GTD Super Tuesday recorded 187 entries, falling ₹32,500 short of the break-even mark. The former Full House champion, Md ‘BuLsEye0’ Zeeshan, winning his first title since that big score a month ago, took down the title for ₹99,391. Rohan ‘RSmincer’ Soman banked ₹74,126 for his runner-up finish.

The Special Edition of the Adda52 Online Poker Series (AOPS) is less than a week away from the finish line. The primetime tourney of the day was the ₹25 Lakhs GTD AOPS Cowboys. The event brought together 621 entries, having to fill in an overlay of ₹16,000.
Battling for the top honors were Jairam ‘Keyser_Soze’ Parab and Gaurav ‘Dealer11’ Sharma. The former eventually prevailed and won a personal-best ₹5.87 Lakhs for the victory. Sharma took home ₹3.42 Lakhs for his runner-up finish. Parab has scored an incredible 18 final table finishes throughout the AOPS series and this includes six titles counting the AOPS Cowboys.

APL Ambassador Sumit ‘Sands Myth’ Sapra raced past the field to capture the title and top prize of ₹3.87 Lakhs. Amar ‘Laughing Buddha’ Mehta had to contend with a runner-up finish worth ₹2.44 Lakhs.

Shyam ‘ayyappa1963’ Sundar championed this marquee tourney to win ₹3.02 Lakhs after defeating the banker-turned poker pro ‘Kunal ‘VasooliChacha’ Patni’ heads-up. Patni pocketed a ₹2.11 Lakhs for placing second.
This is the second big finish of the week for Patni. He had finished runner-up in Adda52’s AOPS Full House ₹1 Crore GTD last Sunday.
