After a hectic Sunday that saw the Final Table Series drawing to a close, Monday turned out to be unusually busy with PokerBaazi’s National Poker Series crowning five champions.
The former Grand Poker Series champion Prashant Suda made the Monday headlines as he bagged the day`s single-biggest score worth ₹5.23 Lakhs (his third-best career finish) and the NPS gold medal in PokerBaazi`s NPS#49 Big KO.
The defending NPS Main Event champion Mohammad Azhar extended his NPS gold medal record to four last night and picked up his first gold medal at the ongoing series in PokerBaazi`s NPS#50 Evening Slam Dunk for ₹2.77 Lakhs. His Monday win has pushed him across the ₹1 Crore mark in annual winnings. Shubham Agarwal collected the NPS silver medal and ₹1.94 Lakhs in second place.
PokerStars India`s Sunday Highroller champion from the day before, Anurag Srivastava, came out on top in Spartan Poker’s ReCharge, collecting ₹1.79 Lakhs and his second flagship title on consecutive days. He made another deep run in NPS#49 Big KO, collectively adding ₹2.20 Lakhs.
Bharat Vasan almost won his fourth title of the year in NPS#51 Hyper Sprint, eventually conceding the bragging rights to ‘Abhims05,’ who won the NPS gold medal and ₹2.07 Lakhs in prize money. Vasan settled for a runner-up payday worth ₹1.45 Lakhs and the NPS silver medal.
Uday Singh came out on top in Adda52`s Iron Man for a site-best ₹1.98 Lakhs.
PokerGuru Ambassador Ashutosh Balodhi climbed up the NPS podium in NPS#49 SPRINT, winning his first NPS gold medal and a ₹1.53 Lakhs cash prize. He cashed another four events, collectively adding ₹1.88 Lakhs.
Making his second podium finish at the ongoing NPS, Vinay Rajpal championed NPS#47 Monday Run-Up to collect ₹1.11 Lakhs and his career-first NPS gold medal. The leaderboard crusher made quite the run in the NPS marquees yesterday, cashing another four of them for ₹1.34 Lakhs (overall), moving up two places to #3 in the series’ leaderboard rankings. Mandar Madaye secured a runner-up payday of ₹77,513 and the NPS silver medal.
Kunal Yadav, Md Aalam Ansari, Mukesh Surana, Vinay B, Kaleem Pasha, birthday boy Rajneesh Thakur, Clinton Tavares, Nitesh Mallanar, Rakesh Sharma, and Rakshit Vedh won the other Monday majors.

The Final Table Series 4.0 officially closed out its run last night with the FTS The Masters Table naming a champion, while Spartan Poker`s regular Monday tournaments returned.

After five hours of play, Yogiraj ‘Yogiraj’ Singh (678,000) bagged the day-end chip lead, followed by well-known regs like Jaydeep ‘JDBhaiya’ Dawer (301,000) and Kunal ‘VasooliChacha’ Patni (286,000).
Last night`s NPS#48 SPRINT winner, PokerGuru Ambassador Ashutosh ‘senojwod’ Balodhi (268,000), IMPS Gold Edition ME winner, Abhishek ‘rekop’ Kushwaha (251,000), Goonjan ‘gmtesting’ Mall (238,000), Rising Star Ritwik ‘Ritwikkhanna’ Khanna (236,000), and Apratim ‘checmate’ Sharma (232,000) also made the top 10 chip count’s list.

The second qualifier was the 9 PM Turbo, and the fast-paced flight logged in 1,824 players taking the total entry count to 4,049 across the first two flights combined. With 12 more flights left to run, the ₹550 buy-in event seems to be on track to hit the 20,000 entries it needs to break even on its eight-figure guarantee.
