Mondays are typically one of the slowest days for online poker. Still, with the World Poker Tour Online India (WPTOI) series running full-steam, several flagships tournaments kept the action ticking.
For the second consecutive day, a PokerGuru Ambassador topped the day`s charts. The former Millionaire champion Naresh Veeravalli bagged the biggest paycheque of the day worth ₹3.72 Lakhs for taking down the ₹15 Lakhs GTD WPT Monday Feature on Adda52 for his third WPT title. Veeravalli bested Sunday’s WPT Independence Day Special runner-up finisher Sandeep Bhatnagar (2nd for ₹2.25 Lakhs) heads-up en route to winning his first WPT trophy!
Spartan Poker’s Monday flagship, the ReCharge, was won by Ashutosh Kumar for a ₹1.74 Lakhs payday. Uttam Kumar Sinha took home a runner-up payday of ₹1.15 Lakhs.
This week’s edition of PokerBaazi’s The Big Show was claimed by the anonymous player ‘vanillaice21’ who outran 288 others to net a winner’s paycheque of ₹1.66 Lakhs. Akash Punshi came second for ₹1.16 Lakhs.
Sunday’s WPT Mega Stack fourth-place finisher Pradip Ghosh championed the ₹7 Lakhs GTD WPT Table For 6, adding ₹1.51 Lakhs to his name following a three-way deal with Peushup Eugene (2nd for ₹1.37 Lakhs) and ‘arushiagarwal’ (3rd for ₹1.16 Lakhs).
The Daily SPRINT culminated in a three-way deal that crowned ‘ForeverBhalu’ the winner for ₹1.09 Lakhs. ‘silentkid’ (2nd for ₹79,970), Rohit ‘mrblue1205’ Malhotra (3rd for ₹78,370) banked the other top payouts, courtesy of the deal.
Navaneesha P was the biggest winner on PokerStars India. He captured the Battle Royale title for ₹90,617 after defeating Ankit Saurabh (2nd for ₹82,179) in the heads-up showdown.
WPT title winners Avinash Kumar and Siddharth Pandey and the Night Rider Monster Stack champion Abhishek Reddy were the other top scorers.

Spartan Poker
The biggest draw on Spartan Poker last night, the ₹8 Lakhs GTD ReCharge, managed to obliterate its listed guarantee by ₹66,000 after gathering a player pool of 433 challengers. The 8 PM tourney ended at 3:22 AM, and the top 39 places finished ITM. Ashutosh ‘trailblazera’ Kumar (opted out of our tracking) raced past the competition to collect the ₹1.73 Lakhs up-top after defeating Uttam ‘chinunew’ Kumar Sinha (2nd for ₹1.15 Lakhs) in the heads-up play.
Unnikrishnan ‘parzival74’ Nair captured the ₹4.5 Lakhs GTD DeepStack for ₹90,225, with the user ‘CheckArm’ placing runner-up for ₹59,985. The win was a much-needed one for Nair, who sits on losses over ₹12 Lakhs! The ₹1,100 entry buy-in event just about broke event after logged in 450 entrants, and the top 39 places boarded the money bus.
‘BULL0666’ (Won Monster Stack ₹2.75L GTD for ₹58,163), ‘SKHasan91’ (Won The Centurion ₹65K GTD for ₹12,979), Abhishek ‘ALOK.’ Reddy Rachur (Won Night Rider – Monster Stack ₹2.10 Lakhs GTD for ₹46,131), and ‘Greyhound15’ (Won Epic ₹1 Lakh GTD for ₹21,437) took down the other Spartan Poker marquees!

Day 16 of the WPT Online India packed quite the punch, with ten events running through the day on Adda52. Headlining the Monday schedule was the only WPT trophy event of the day, the ₹15 Lakhs GTD WPT Monday Feature 6-Max. The former The Millionaire champion PokerGuru Ambassador Naresh ’emperor457′ Veeravalli topped the 421-entry strong field to win ₹3.72 Lakhs and his career-first WPT trophy. The win ended an over three-month-long dry spell for Veeravalli, fetching him his first title at the ongoing WPT Online series (his third overall). Sunday’s WPT Independence Day Special third-place finisher Sandeep ’40chor’ Bhatnagar placed runner-up for ₹2.25 Lakhs.

The ₹7 Lakhs GTD WPT Table for 6 ended in a three-way deal, with Pradip ‘Nit2Donk’ Ghosh walking away with the title and a ₹1.51 Lakhs payday. Peushup ‘peushup’ Eugene (2nd for ₹1.37 Lakhs) and WPT Independence Day Special runner-up finisher ‘arushiagarwal’ (3rd for ₹1.16 Lakhs) bagged comparable podium scores, courtesy of the deal.
Running alongside the Monday marquees was Flight 16 of the ₹1 Crore GTD WPT Unreal. The event clocked in 441 participants, and 37 of them made it across to Day 2. Rohit ‘Ddarsh’ Agarwal (528,371), Avadh ‘cateyes’ Shah (388,298), and ‘Kalkatia’ (379,987) topped the day-end chip counts.
The ₹499 entry buy-in event has filled in 7,912 entries across 16 starting flights already (Flight 1 – 417, Flight 2 – 390, Flight 3 – 402, Flight 4 – 307, Flight 5 – 222, Flight 6 – 1,119, Flight 7 – 349, Flight 8 – 554, Flight 9 – 634, Flight 10 – 515, Flight 11 – 365, Flight 12 – 230, Flight 13 – 913, Flight 14 – 595, Flight 15 – 459, and Flight 16 – 441), and has another 14 flights left to play.
The ₹1 Crore GTD WPT Quad 9 played out the first of its eight starting flights last night. Day 1A of the ₹9,999 entry buy-in event registered 69 entries, and only 11 made the cut for Day 2. ‘Carrick16’ (190,559), ‘xoredvoid’ (182,152) & Karann ‘ICMsucks’ Dembla (122,350) rounded out the top three stacks of the day.
Shaurya’ pokerguy123′ Pratap Pundir (Won WPT Classic ₹4 Lakhs GTD for ₹1 Lakh), ‘rocker_z’ (Won WPT Hustle ₹4 Lakhs GTD for ₹99,448), ‘rajesh_asi’ (Won WPT Multiplier ₹4 Lakhs GTD for ₹85,993), ‘alienwarelove’ (Won WPT Alpha ₹2.75 Lakhs GTD for ₹62,914), Avinash’ i_fart_you_faint’ Kumar (Won WPT Daily Warmup ₹2 Lakhs GTD for ₹54,900), and Siddharth’ gabandheer’ Pandey (Won WPT Late Night PLO ₹3 Lakhs GTD for ₹50,646) championed the other WPT titles on Monday.
A glance at the WPT Online India Mega Leaderboard shows Raghav ‘FuckedUpLife’ Siddalanga still holding on the #1 spot with 849 points. PokerGuru Ambassadors Ashish ‘rocky3705’ Ahuja (824 points) and Ankit ‘d00mtr003r’ Wadhawan (745 points) are close on his coattails at #2 and #3 positions, respectively.

The ₹5 Lakhs GTD Daily SPRINT logged in 177 entries, experiencing a ₹1.46 Lakhs overlay shortfall. Site regular ‘ForeverBhalu’ claimed the bragging rights for ₹1.09 Lakhs after striking a three-way deal with ‘silentkid’ (2nd for ₹79,970) and Rohit ‘mrblue1205’ Malhotra (3rd for ₹78,370).

The event ran from 7:30 PM to 2:14 AM, with online reg Navaneesha ‘np406’ P outlasting the 144-entry field to win her career-first Battle Royale title and a site-best ₹90,617 (includes ₹30,703 in bounties). Ankit ‘magnum736’ Saurabh finished runner-up for ₹82,179 (includes ₹22,266 in bounties).
