It’s the weekend, and what better way to start it off by taking down ₹80 Lakhs GTD WPT India High Roller! That’s precisely how PokerGuru Ambassador Vishal Bajaj set things in motion. The former Millionaire champion picked up his first WPT trophy and a personal-best ₹21.60 Lakhs in the event, pushing his online tally north of ₹4 Crores (₹4.02 Crores)!
The veteran pro Sumit Sapra placed runner-up in the WPT India High Roller for ₹13.60 Lakhs. And even though he missed his chance at a ₹7 Lakhs pay jump and the WPT trophy, the seven-figure score made him the sixth player on our tracked database to cross the ₹8 Crores-mark (₹8.02 Crores) in tracked online earnings.
The former IOPC Millionaire winner Srihari Bang has been keeping a relatively low profile off late. Well, Mr. Bang bounced back with a bang, ending an over three-month title drought by shipping PokerBaazi’s The Weekly HighRoller for ₹3.08 Lakhs. He chopped the title three-way deal with Kunal Patni (2nd for ₹3.06 Lakhs) and Young Gun Shardul Parthasarathi (3rd for ₹2.94 Lakhs).
Documentary filmmaker and poker enthusiast Rakesh Sharma took down PokerStars India’s Uppercut MAGIC Edition for ₹2.04 Lakhs, while PokerGuru Ambassador Arjanveer Singh Chadha came out on top in Spartan Poker’s Futuristic for ₹1.96 Lakhs.
Nishaanth Shanmughasundaram, Nitin Arora, Anish Arora, Anurag Srivastava, Clinton Tavares, Akshit Madan, Anish Arora, Kritagya Sharma, Akash Arora, Jerry Bareh, Pranav Khandalkar, and Hemang Shah won the other marquees.
