Mondays can safely be called the “rest day” for the regs, with many in the circuit opting to take the day off to cool off after a long and hectic weekend. The turnout across sites is one of the lowest we see all week. Still, there were a few flagships on offer yesterday; let`s do a quick recap of all that transpired yesterday.
Spartan Poker`s Monday mainstay, the ₹2,200 buy-in ReCharge offered ₹12 Lakhs in prize pool guarantee. A total of 755 entries ensured that the advertised guarantee was comfortably surpassed with the final tally coming in at ₹15.10 Lakhs. Outlasting the competition was the former IPC High Roller champion Pranay ‘kabira speaking’ Chawla, who walked away with the ₹2.91 Lakhs up top after defeating Sasi ‘sasikiranx’ Kiran (runner-up for ₹1.83 Lakhs) heads-up. Rahul ‘sttoned’ Kumar (3rd for ₹1.31 Lakhs), PokerGuru Ambassador Nadeem ‘blindgame’ Basha (4th for ₹1.03 Lakhs), Anish ‘anishsuri’ Suri (5th for ₹81,389) and former Millionaire champion Dhinesh ‘kendralust’ Kumar (6th for ₹63,571) posted FT finishes.
The Deep Freeze ₹5 Lakhs GTD saw PokerGuru Ambassador Naresh ‘FreeFlow’ Veeravalli rising to the top. A seasoned pro with a long list of live and online MTT accolades to his name, Veeravalli is primarily a cash game specialist who has been making quite a splash playing tournaments during this extended lockdown. Last Wednesday, he had championed the Maverick on Adda52 for ₹2.68 Lakhs. He put up another big score on Sunday, where he finished runner-up in the Adda52 Millions for ₹4.03 Lakhs. Veeravalli was in blistering form last night as he posted deep runs in the Inception, Destiny Junior, and ReCharge. His best score came in the Deep Freeze, where he outran an 86-player field and defeated ‘Bhanu2123’ (runner-up for ₹97,750) heads-up to win ₹1.37 Lakhs. The tournament offered massive value with a very sizable ₹1.56 Lakhs overlay.
Over at the Destiny Jr ₹4.5 Lakhs GTD, Siddharth ‘champ-ak’ Pandey toppled a field of 320 entries to win ₹1.08 Lakhs in prize money.
Dominating the tournament action at PokerBaazi was Pranav ‘GarviGujarat’ Desai with two title victories. The most prominent of the two came in The Bout ₹10 Lakhs GTD, where he rode past a field of 437 entries and sent his heads-up opponent Mrinal ‘Booyah’ Manna (runner-up for ₹1.54 Lakhs) packing to win ₹2.2 Lakhs. The marquee tourney generated a guarantee-surpassing ₹10.93 Lakhs prize pool that was distributed among the top 54 finishers. The other prominent FT finishers who missed out on the title were Anirban D ‘pottysingh’ Das (3rd for ₹98,980) and Harsh ‘100crdream’ Dembla (5th for ₹54,950). Das was a standout performer last night with two FT finishes that included an INSCOOP title.
Desai won his second title in the Monday MegaStack, where 103 entries ponied up the ₹2,200 buy-in. He beat out PokerGuru Ambassador Devvrat ‘flopCheck’ Arya (runner-up for ₹159,130) heads-up, helping himself to ₹84,450 in first-place prize money to bring his day`s winning over ₹3 Lakhs!
After a smashing Sunday that saw Adda52 bringing back the Full House, headlining the Monday roster was the ₹10 Lakhs GTD Inception. The tournament was able to collect a guarantee-smashing prize pool worth ₹12 Lakhs and went down the wire following a three-way chop that saw ‘Hell12’ claim the bragging rights and a ₹2.14 Lakhs paycheque. Runner-up Shravan ‘sweatmyass13’ Chhabria settled for ₹2.04 Lakhs while ‘badbeat4’ finished third for ₹1.94 Lakhs.
A host of seasoned regs including Anmol ‘anzzzzz’ Mehta (4th for ₹96,000), Myron ‘zzzzz369’ Pereira (5th for ₹64,800), Abhishek ‘messi010010’ Gubba (7th for ₹36,000), Puneet ‘j4jolly’ Mishra (8th for ₹30,000) and Mukunda ‘Kakeguri’ Dasharathy (9th for ₹24,000) posted FT finishes.
In the Hexagram ₹3 Lakhs GTD, Rishi ‘ronaldo94’ Mundhra came out on top of a 146 entry field and defeated the formidable Uttam ‘chinunew’ Kumar Sinha (2nd for ₹55,500) heads-up to win ₹84,750.
PokerStars India is currently playing host to the second edition of the INSCOOP – it`s biggest-ever MTT series. The series is now a day away from going down the history books, and Monday saw the marquee THE MAMMOTH ₹1 Crore GTD play down Day 2.
A starting field of 1,221 entries helped generate a record-crushing prize pool of ₹1.22 Crores! While the money bubble burst on Day 2 with the top 197 places assured a payout, the play was halted with only 18 runners in the fray. A winner will be crowned tonight, and the frontrunner to win the title is Vikram ‘GreenSTUFF79’ Mishra. Mishra seems to be in top form – just a day before, he had won the INSCOOP Final Warm Up 5 Lakhs GTD title for ₹97,889. With the massive stack of 2,282,448, Mishra is currently the favorite to claim the title!
Hot on Mishra’s heels is PokerGuru Ambassador Rohit ‘PillowFight22’ Mishra (2,197,649), with Vineet ‘TheMentalistNo1’ Kumar (2,197,649) rounding out the top three stacks.
The notable Day 2 ITM finishers included PokerGuru Ambassador Ashish ‘Spewushhhiiiii’ Ahuja (23rd for ₹51,238), Vaibhav ‘vaibsss’ Bhatia (26th for ₹51,238), Sandeep ‘effuno007’ Varma (27th for ₹37,362), PokerGuru Ambassador Vivek ‘Mystic Peaks’ Singh (29th for ₹37,362), Shashank ‘felterr’ Jain (32nd for ₹37,362), Srihari ‘bangbang1999’ Bang (34th for ₹37,362), and Armaan ‘armaan007111’ Kochhar (36th for ₹37,362).
Running alongside THE MAMMOTH was the ₹2,500 buy-in INSCOOP NLHE ₹5 Lakhs GTD that logged in 229 players entries, forming a prize pool worth ₹5.20 Lakhs. Once again, it was Anirban ‘nocluewho’ D Das who clawed his way to the top to win ₹1 Lakh. After a super-profitable weekend when he took down PokerBaazi’s The Crest ₹10 Lakhs GTD for ₹2.08 Lakhs on Saturday night, following that up with a fourth-place finish in the INSCOOP Sunday Highroller and a runner-up score at the Big Slick on Sunday, we’d have expected Das to take a day off on Monday. But Das had no such intentions! Runner-up Bharat ‘hzgod’ Kumar pocketed ₹74,292 in prize money.
In INSCOOP Battle Royale Mini ₹5 Lakhs GTD handed out the title to ‘dedpul7’ who banked ₹94,457 following a heads-up deal with ‘IMLockdown.’ The latter pocketed ₹79,603 for his runner-up finish.
