With the weekend nearly upon us, there was an uptick in the online action, with the fourth edition of PokerBaazi`s APT India Online Series just three days away from the finish line. While the APT Championship Event found its champion yesterday, the other Championship Ring event, the APT Main Event, played out its first starting flight!

Puneet Mishra made the Thursday headlines for winning the first Championship Ring event at PokerBaazi’s APT Online India series, the ₹50 Lakhs GTD APT#36 Championship Event, for a mouth-watering ₹12.19 Lakhs and the APT trophy. He also FT-ed Adda52’s Godfather, making away with the day`s ₹12.44 Lakhs (overall).

Puneet Mishra chopped the APT#36 Championship Event three-way with Akshay Joshi (2nd for ₹8.61 Lakhs) and Chirag Sodha (3rd for ₹9.73 Lakhs)!

Rising Star Ritwik Khanna has been crushing the online flagships this year. Proving his mettle once again, Khanna accumulated a whopping ₹8.76 Lakhs yesterday, most prominently taking down Spartan Poker’s Thursday High Roller for ₹7.95 Lakhs. His terrific Thursday grind catapulted him to #5 on the annual rankings while also pushing him past ₹6 Crores in tracked online winnings.

Aman Parakh was the second Rising Star on the Thursday winner’s list. The online crusher cashed eight events for ₹7.34 Lakhs overall and won two titles – Adda52’s Godfather (₹6.12 Lakhs) and PokerBaazi’s Daily Night SPRINT (₹54,881).

The former IOPC Super High Roller champion Akshay Kapoor took down Spartan Poker’s Trending Thursday replacement, Ultron, for ₹5.03 Lakhs. The poker pro and commentator made another two ITM runs, filling in ₹5.61 Lakhs in Thursday winnings.

The inaugural WPT Vietnam Main Event champion Dhaval Mudgal came out on top in PokerBaazi’s APT#38 DST to win his first APT Online title and ₹3.46 Lakhs in prize money. Incidentally, he had won his first APT trophy in the same format six years ago. The long-time poker pro also FT-ed Adda52’s Godfather (7th for ₹68,750), adding ₹4.15 Lakhs overall.

Alok Birewar was another breakout winner yesterday. The IPC Megastacks ₹100K High Roller champion became the second player to win two APT Online India titles on the same day, with top finishes in APT#34 Monsterstack (₹1.92 Lakhs) and APT#39 (6-Max) Turbo (₹ 2.09 Lakhs). He cashed two other APT Online India events, rounding up ₹4.63 Lakhs in Thursday winnings.

Binoj S (Won APT#35 (PLO) for ₹1.14 Lakhs) and Sachin Raj (Won APT#33 Superstack for ₹74,464) won the other APT Online titles on Thursday.

Mohammad Azhar was the last player standing in PokerStars India’s Highroller (On-time Rake Refund) and won ₹1.72 Lakhs, following a three-way deal with ‘uvrv007’ (2nd for ₹1.70 Lakhs) and Armaan Kochhar (3rd for ₹1.80 Lakhs).

Sarthak Bhardwaj shipped MPL Poker’s Thursday Smash for ₹1.20 Lakhs. PokerGuru Ambassador Rony Chowdhury finished runner-up for ₹81,250. Chowdhury squeezed out two other deep runs, adding ₹2.47 Lakhs overall.

Nitin Rawat, Vikas Kumar, Abhishek Mandal, Mukesh Surana, Sarvesh Sharma, Laldingliana Tlau Vantawl, Naman Puri, Karan Thakker, Amit Sinha, and Monish Kumar were the other title winners on Thursday.
