Online poker is at an all-time high, and with the countrywide lockdown now extended until May 17, it`s safe to assume that the next few weeks are going to be action-packed as well!

Spartan Poker

Friday night was massive as Spartan Poker’s SSS took the virtual felts by storm! The featured tourney of the day was SSS#6 The Elite ₹50 Lakhs GTD. A total of 526 entries (240 unique, 122 re-entries, and 164 rebuys) piled into this event and generating a guarantee-busting prize pool weighing in at ₹52.60 Lakhs.

Coming out on top in The Elite for the second week running was last week’s champion, Raghav ‘thatssosick’ Bansal. The Kolkata-born poker pro had won ₹11.32 Lakhs at this event last Friday. Yesterday he defended the title, beating another circuit reg Vivek ‘Pokerbatman27’ Rughani heads-up after a heads-up deal for a take-home of ₹8.58 Lakhs. Rughani collected an equally impressive ₹8.17 Lakhs!

The final table was a stacked affair and featured top regs like Dhaval ‘MandirYahinBanayenge’ Mudgal (3rd for ₹4.88 Lakhs), Young Gun Gaurav ‘mozzie17’ Sood (5th for ₹3.11 Lakhs), Guneet ‘guntz’ Kwatra (6th for ₹2.37 Lakhs), PokerGuru Ambassador Ashish ‘Donkey 07’ Munot (8th for ₹1.28 Lakhs) and bracelet winner Nikita ‘Nikita Luther’ Luther (9th for ₹1.05 Lakhs).

Over at SSS#3 Afternoon Showdown ₹5.50 Lakhs GTD, ‘funckpot’ dominated a 298-player field (153 unique, 45 re-entries and 100 rebuys) to win ₹1.16 Lakhs.

Like Bansal, another player who went back-to-back on Spartan Poker was Mahima ‘mambojojo’ Walia Das. The former Millionaire champion had on Thursday, won the Ultimate PLO ₹2.75 Lakhs GTD for ₹72,188. She championed this very tourney once again last night as she overcame a field of 145 entries (73 unique, 20 re-entries, and 52 re-buys) to win ₹76,125.

Sagar ‘Strangeplay’ Choudhury was another standout performer on the site where he final-tabled two events – the SSS#2 HotLine ₹3.50 Lakhs GTD (4th for ₹34,726) and the SSS#4 ₹3 Lakhs GTD (6th for ₹17,262).

In addition to winning his first-ever online title, Garg also collected a new personal-best ₹2.81 Lakhs for his blistering run.
