Friday night was massive as Spartan Poker’s SSS took the virtual felts by storm! The featured tourney of the day was SSS#6 The Elite ₹50 Lakhs GTD. A total of 526 entries (240 unique, 122 re-entries, and 164 rebuys) piled into this event and generating a guarantee-busting prize pool weighing in at ₹52.60 Lakhs.
Coming out on top in The Elite for the second week running was last week’s champion, Raghav ‘thatssosick’ Bansal. The Kolkata-born poker pro had won ₹11.32 Lakhs at this event last Friday. Yesterday he defended the title, beating another circuit reg Vivek ‘Pokerbatman27’ Rughani heads-up after a heads-up deal for a take-home of ₹8.58 Lakhs. Rughani collected an equally impressive ₹8.17 Lakhs!
The final table was a stacked affair and featured top regs like Dhaval ‘MandirYahinBanayenge’ Mudgal (3rd for ₹4.88 Lakhs), Young Gun Gaurav ‘mozzie17’ Sood (5th for ₹3.11 Lakhs), Guneet ‘guntz’ Kwatra (6th for ₹2.37 Lakhs), PokerGuru Ambassador Ashish ‘Donkey 07’ Munot (8th for ₹1.28 Lakhs) and bracelet winner Nikita ‘Nikita Luther’ Luther (9th for ₹1.05 Lakhs).
It was another massive turnout at the SSS #5 TGIF ₹15 Lakhs GTD as 1,339 entries (581 unique, 220 re-entries, and 538 rebuys) turned out in force to collect a generous ₹20.08 Lakhs in the prize pool kitty. It was an unknown player with the moniker ‘nbc345’,who traversed the large field and defeated their heads-up rival Vinay Choudhry (runner-up for ₹2.85 Lakhs) to collect the ₹3.23 Lakhs first-place cash prize.
Over at SSS#3 Afternoon Showdown ₹5.50 Lakhs GTD, ‘funckpot’ dominated a 298-player field (153 unique, 45 re-entries and 100 rebuys) to win ₹1.16 Lakhs.
Like Bansal, another player who went back-to-back on Spartan Poker was Mahima ‘mambojojo’ Walia Das. The former Millionaire champion had on Thursday, won the Ultimate PLO ₹2.75 Lakhs GTD for ₹72,188. She championed this very tourney once again last night as she overcame a field of 145 entries (73 unique, 20 re-entries, and 52 re-buys) to win ₹76,125.

Headlining the action on PokerBaazi was The Ridge ₹10 Lakhs GTD. The tournament logged in a packed field of 467 runners (269 unique and 198 re-entries) collecting ₹14.01 Lakhs in prize money. Racing ahead of the rest, Prateek ‘prats007’ Garg took down the tournament title after defeating the former Millionaire champion Chirag ‘miyagi’ Sodha (runner-up for ₹1.97 Lakhs) heads-up. In addition to winning his first-ever online title, Garg also collected a new personal-best ₹2.81 Lakhs for his blistering run.

Moving over to the site`s day-time special, the Afternoon Blaze ₹4 Lakhs GTD, turned out to be another massive hit as 265 entries (164 unique and 101 re-entries) helped collect ₹5.3 Lakhs in the prize pool. Taking up the top spot and the winner’s paycheque worth ₹1.17 Lakhs was Mukunda ‘Dashing’ Dasharathy, who defeated Ankit ‘killing_spree’ Saxena heads-up. Saxena padded his bankroll by ₹82,150.
In addition to the scores, Dasharathy also made it to Day 2 of the PBBS #24 Main Event Flight 5 ₹2 Lakhs GTD from Flight 5.

It was a breakout April for Young Gun Arsh ‘BigggTymeR’ Grover, and he couldn’t have asked for a better start this month. The Delhi-resident battled past a 385-player field (199 unique and 186 re-entries) in Adda52’s The Ballers ₹17 Lakhs GTD to win ₹5.60 after striking a heads-up deal with former Millionaire champion Sreekanth ‘n0thing’ Narayan (runner-up for ₹4.89 Lakhs). PokerGuru Ambassador Naresh ’emperor457′ Veeravalli finished third for ₹2.76 Lakhs.
Notably, both Grover and Narayan posted FT finishes in the PokerStars India tourneys as well. While Grover finished eighth in the Friday Euphoria to earn ₹13,302, Narayan placed ninth in the Uppercut for ₹27,821.
Meanwhile, Bhavye ‘noobpro’ Mittal, who placed fourth in The Ballers for ₹2.10 Lakhs, was in the running for a top finish in the Hexagram ₹3 Lakhs GTD. Mittal and circuit reg Anmol ‘anzzzzz’ Mehta were the two players remaining out of a 150-entry starting field (93 unique and 57 re-entries). Here again, Mittal was denied the glory as he finished runner-up for ₹55,500, as the in-form Mehta took down the tourney to win ₹84,750.

PokerStars India’s Uppercut INSCOOP Edition ₹10 Lakhs GTD smashed its posted guarantee as 266 entries (150 unique and 116 re-entries), generated a profitable ₹11.65 Lakhs prize pool. Long time reg Myron ‘khAAbib’ Pereira came out on top to win ₹1.82 Lakhs and had to get past Pranjal ‘lilmessipranjal’ Gandhi (runner-up for ₹97,270) heads-up. The site continues to give away free tickets to the INSCOOP Main Event, and each of the top 15 finishers in the Uppercut won a free entry to the upcoming tourney.
