The majority of the Wednesday flagships registered massive overlays; still, PokerBaazi’s Grinders Series and Poker Dangal’s Dangal Value Series (DVS) saved the day. PokerGuru Ambassadors were a dominant force and took down two flagship tourneys last night, making it to the featured winner’s list.

More action is coming up ahead with the second edition of Spartan Poker’s Freezeout Master Series (FMS) starting today, so keep an eye out.

Here is a complete recap from yesterday.

Spartan Poker

Spartan Poker hosted the biggest guaranteed tourney on Wednesday, the ₹30 Lakhs GTD Destiny. Logging in 559 entries, the ₹5,500 buy-in event experienced a deficit of ₹2.05 Lakhs. PokerGuru Ambassador Gokul ‘Super Kings’ Raj powered his way through the reg-laden field to win the second running of the tourney in the Destiny 16.0 series for ₹7.8 Lakhs. An anonymous user ‘crockroax021’ finished runner-up for ₹4.8 Lakhs. The win incidentally came exactly a year after Raj last won this tourney as part of the Destiny 10.0 series, and his lifetime online score has soared to ₹3.46 Crores after this win.

The new multi-flight ₹10 Lakhs GTD Velocity ran its second starting flight on Wednesday. Day 1B of the ₹550 buy-in tourney added 240 entries to the existing 264 entries from Day 1A, expanding the field to 504 entries. By the time the scheduled levels of play were over, only 32 contenders were left standing. Counting the advancing players from Day 1A, 59 players have booked a seat for Day 2 on Saturday. Vaibhav ‘AllinPavBhaji’ Temani (116,343), Vishal ‘Juwadi’ Gajaria (107,828), and ‘kingboy’ (106,828) bagged the top stacks of the flight. The Day 1A chip leader, ‘RiverG,’ retains the overall chip lead after the two starting flights with their stack of 165,459. There are two more starting flights yet to play out.

The ₹4 Lakhs GTD Mega Freeze registered 119 entries to post an overlay of ₹43,000. An unknown player ‘jethalaal’ defeated the former Millionaire champion Anujkumar ‘aatmaan108’ Kodam (runner-up for ₹68,000) heads-up to win the title and ₹1.01 Lakh in prize money. Kodam banked another ₹1.98 Lakhs for his fourth-place finish in the Destiny.

PokerBaazi

PokerBaazi’s ₹10 Lakhs GTD The Pride logged in 264 entries and was forced to fill in a sizable ₹2.08 Lakhs shortfall. After six hours of play, PokerGuru Ambassador Rohit ‘rohit22rm’ Mishra came out on top after defeating Abhishek ‘ketchup’ Kumar heads-up to win ₹2.21 Lakhs. Kumar had shipped The Race on Tuesday for ₹1.46 Lakhs and narrowly missed out on winning back-to-back titles, finishing runner-up for ₹1.55 Lakhs.

The ₹3 Lakhs GTD Grinders#14 Wednesday SuperStack generated ₹3.22 Lakhs in the prize pool on the back of 161 registrations. aatishbaaz’ took down the event for a personal-best ₹82,920. Millind ‘ulimpiraise’ Satam finished runner-up for ₹58,060.

Adda52

The featured tourney that ran on Adda52 was the ₹15 Lakhs GTD Maverick. The ₹2,500 buy-in tourney clocked in 658 entries to almost break even on the guarantee. Chirag ‘mahikk’ Bhardwaj plowed his way through the competition to win the title and ₹3.30 Lakhs. This win has taken Bhardwaj`s lifetime tally to ₹1.39 Crores. The runner-up Nishant ‘stockfull’ Pandey added ₹2.63 Lakhs to his bankroll – courtesy a heads-up deal.

The ₹10 Lakhs GTD Monster Stack did not garner the same interest as the Maverick. A below-par turnout of 152 entries resulted in a landslide overlay worth ₹2.40 Lakhs. Devrat ‘vickypune’ Singh got the best deal on the value on offer as he won the tourney for ₹2.70 Lakhs. ‘Reg_Slayer’ finished runner-up for ₹1.70 Lakhs. Singh clinched his second-biggest score with this win, improving his online record to ₹70.59 Lakhs.

PokerStars India

PokerStars India’s ₹7 Lakhs GTD Night on Stars had to fill in a ₹1.03 Lakhs overlay on the back of a below-par 239-entry field. Aman ‘KarmaPoker77’ Parakh was the last player standing and pocketed ₹1.19 Lakhs after a heads-up deal with Bharat ‘MojoJojo2193’ Vasan (runner-up for ₹1.16 Lakhs).

For Parakh, who has been on a breakout run in recent months, this was just one of two tourney titles he won last night. He further supplemented his winnings by ₹46,851 after taking down PokerBaazi’s Holdem Boost DST. Parakh has already won three titles in two days. He had championed the Sixth Sense on Tuesday for ₹1.32 Lakhs. His lifetime tally reflects ₹1.55 Crores in earnings.

The ₹5 Lakhs GTD Big Bubble Rush played out amid 174 runners to fall ₹65,000 short of the listed guarantee. Following up on a heads-up deal, Abhijeet ‘sexylady7766’ Kumar clinched the title for ₹90,847 (₹46,530 in prize money and ₹43,067 in bounties).

Kumar had a very productive day as he also finished third in Adda52’s Maverick for ₹1.47 Lakhs. His cumulative winnings for the day touched ₹2.37 Lakhs, taking his online record soaring to ₹53.71 Lakhs. ‘Poker_Basilisk’ finished runner-up for ₹83,368 (₹49,052 in prize money and ₹34,316 in bounties).
