It was a high-octane Friday with three high roller tourneys running simultaneously across different sites. PokerGuru Ambassadors continuing their domination on the virtual felts, bagged an incredible three titles.
Even the inaugural WPT Online India series booked another guarantee-smashing day, registering 3,201 entries across nine side events, disbursing a massive ₹75.67 Lakhs in prize money.

The day`s biggest guaranteed tourney at Spartan Poker, the ₹35 Lakhs GTD The Elite, clocked in 324 entries (149 unique, 67 re-entries, and 108 rebuys) to leave an overlay of ₹2.60 Lakhs, and the top 31 places got paid. Coming out on top to win the tourney for the second time in three weeks was PokerGuru Ambassador Gokul ‘Super King’s Raj. The former Millionaire champion has been in phenomenal form on Spartan Poker, and last night he chopped the top prize with Anant ‘Pro’ Purohit (runner-up for ₹5.88 Lakhs) to add ₹6.49 Lakhs to his bankroll.
Raj has a shining resume on Spartan Poker that includes winning The Elite an impressive four times already. He had previously won this tourney on October 23. It is also the second consecutive day that Raj has won a flagship title on the site. He had championed the Ultron on Thursday for ₹3.60 Lakhs, and last night`s score has sent his online tally soaring to ₹3.86 Crores.
PokerGuru Ambassador Laksh Pal ‘LuckyBhai$’ Singh (5th for ₹2.25 Lakhs), Sanat ‘avneed’ Mehrotra (6th for ₹1.71 Lakhs), Vaibhav ‘Nikka Zaildar’ Sharma (7th for ₹1.24 Lakhs), and Guruprasad ‘DONKAKING’ Gupta (8th for ₹91,350) were others who FT-ed The Elite.
The ₹11 Lakhs GTD TGIF logged in 697 entries who ponied up the ₹1,650 entry buy-in, overlaying ₹54,500, and the top 63 places finished ITM. The winner emerged in an unknown player ‘petbot,’ who banked ₹1.77 Lakhs following a three-way deal with ‘TheAceCrown’ (runner-up for ₹1.37 Lakhs) and ‘DesiKanye’ (3rd for ₹1,28 Lakhs). PokerStars India`s weekly ₹7,700 entry buy-in ₹12 Lakhs GTD Highroller brought together 142 poker regs to leave an overlay of ₹2.06 Lakhs, and the top 23 finishers walked past the money line. Dominating them all was PokerGuru Ambassador Ashish ‘Spewushhhiiiii’ Ahuja, who padded his burgeoning bankroll by ₹2.49 Lakhs after defeating ‘GudThimma’ (runner-up for ₹1.88 Lakhs) in the heads-up finale. This is Ahuja’s second time winning the Friday Highroller title on PokerStars India.

The inaugural WPT Online India series enjoyed a second guarantee-smashing day on Friday! The day`s headliner, the ₹30 Lakhs GTD WPT India Mini Highroller, recorded 535 sign-ups who bought in for ₹7,500. The event paid out 55 places, who took a share from the guarantee-smashing ₹36.48 Lakhs prize pool. Navigating his way through the challenging field was Nagendra ‘doravad’ Vadlamani, who walked away with ₹8.75 Lakhs in hard cash after denying Raghav ‘balugawhale’ Bansal (runner-up for ₹5.10 Lakhs) his second WPT Online title. Bansal had won the WPT Big Game on Thursday. The 6-max FT was replete with pros like Kanishka ‘kanishka27’ Samant (3rd for ₹3.46 Lakhs), Abhishek ‘dx23’ Rathod (4th for ₹2.73 Lakhs), Kamal ‘ksn123’ Naruka (5th for ₹1.82 Lakhs), and Nitin ‘bigbluffs’ Arora (6th for ₹1.27 Lakhs).
The other featured tourney of the day, the ₹15 Lakhs GTD WPT India PLO Championship, attracted 177 hopefuls who ponied up the ₹11,000 entry buy-in to collect ₹17.70 Lakhs in the prize pool. The ₹1.5 Lakhs WPT November Fest was taken down by none other than PokerStars India`s “Star of the October” Shailesh ‘MrShailesh’ Patel, who took away ₹51,679 for the victory after defeating ‘Thebang02’ (runner-up for ₹30,785) in the heads-up play. The 23-year-old poker enthusiast from Gadarwara (Madhya Pradesh) improved upon his runner-up finish in this tourney on Thursday. He also finished runner-up in the ₹1 Lakh GTD Bigstack Turbo on PokerStars India for ₹20,032, raking up TLB points to defend his title this month.

PokerBaazi’s ₹15 Lakhs GTD The Weekly HighRoller clocked in 162 entries who ponied up the ₹11,000 entry buy-in to form a guarantee-smashing ₹16.20 Lakhs prize pool. The top 18 places landed in the money zone. Young Gun Shardul ‘duuurrrr’ Parthasarathi collected the winner’s paycheck worth ₹4.17 Lakhs after prevailing over ‘md20’ (runner-up for ₹2.92 Lakhs) in the heads-up play. With this score, Parthasarathi has crossed ₹1.90 Crores in recorded earnings this year.

The penultimate starting flight of the ₹20 Lakhs GTD DDS Main Event commenced at 7:30 PM on Friday, and it was almost midnight by the time the last hand of the day got dealt. Day 1D clocked in 180 runners (128 unique and 52 re-entries), and only 14 survived the day`s play. Counting the 457 entries (Day 1A – 151, Day 1B – 136, Day 1C – 287) from the three previous flights, the tourney has already registered 637 entries.
