It was an action-packed Wednesday with Spartan Poker’s guarantee-crushing IOPC July Edition dominating the action once again. The low to mid-stakes players had a field day in PokerBaazi`s Grinders Series.

Ranjeet Negi topped the Wednesday charts as he took down the flagship IOPC title of the day, the ₹45 Lakhs GTD IOPC #22 Wednesday Prime, for a career-best ₹9.74 Lakhs and his second IOPC title. Young Gun Siddhanth Kripalani (runner-up for ₹6.01 Lakhs) and IOPC Dream Catcher winner Haider Madraswala (3rd for ₹4.30 Lakhs) secured podium finishes.

Rubin Labroo also added a second IOPC title to his tally as he won the IOPC #23 – Wednesday Spotlight for ₹3.20 Lakhs.

The NPS Kick-Off fifth-place finisher Dishani Vijay championed PokerBaazi`s The Pride for ₹2.62 Lakhs.

One of the annual leaderboard toppers, Goonjan Mall, was the last player standing in the ₹10 Lakhs GTD IOPC#24 All Rounder (Boost) and won ₹2.21 Lakhs after striking a heads-up deal with Anirudh Reddy.

Ashit Sharma, Aditya Singh, Armaan Kochhar, Siddharth Gangwar, Praveen KR, Karan Radia, Sankalp Marwah, Mohak Kapoor, Ashish Kumar Yadav, Tanay Hegde, Sourabh Singh, and Shubham Bhashker took down the other marquee titles.

Spartan Poker

The ₹30 Crores GTD IOPC July Edition completed Day 4 on Wednesday, with six players winning the coveted IOPC Gold Badges. The five-flight strong ₹25 Lakhs GTD IOPC D’Lite also began proceedings yesterday.

The Millionaire Series – High Roller third-place finisher Ranjeet ‘Rj147’ Negi was the day`s biggest winner. Negi decimated the 1,021-entry strong field in the ₹45 Lakhs GTD IOPC #22 Wednesday Prime to win his second IOPC title and a career-best ₹9.74 Lakhs. Young Gun Siddhanth ‘PluRibu$’ Kripalani (runner-up for ₹6.01 Lakhs) and IOPC Dream Catcher champion Haider ‘Callmebabe’ Madraswala (3rd for ₹4.30 Lakhs) secured the top-three finishes in the IOPC #22 Wednesday Prime.

Negi had won his first IOPC title almost precisely a year ago in July 2020, when he championed the IOPC – Titan Stack for ₹5.31 Lakhs. He also finished 47th in Adda52’s Maverick for ₹5,407, netting ₹9.79 Lakhs in cumulative earnings.

The ₹25 Lakhs GTD IOPC D’Lite completed the first of its five starting flights yesterday. Day 1A of the ₹550 buy-in event registered 1,013 participants, and only 82 runners made it through to Day 2. ‘balli2803’ (264,032), ‘Ataraxia’ (262,611), and Abhishek Milan ‘drpokerabc’ Chinya (258,292) topped the survivors.

The 2020 India Poker Champion Rubin ‘imightwin’ Labroo came out on top in the IOPC #23 – Wednesday Spotlight to win his second IOPC title for ₹3.20 Lakhs. He outlasted a field of 1,127 entries and defeated Akash ‘playboyarya’ Singla (runner-up for ₹1.96 Lakhs) heads-up to collect the IOPC Gold Badge.

One of the commentators on the IOPC July 2021 live-streams, Goonjan ‘gmtesting’ Mall, was the last player standing in the ₹10 Lakhs GTD IOPC#24 All Rounder (Boost). The online entrepreneur won ₹2.21 Lakhs and the IOPC Gold Badge after striking a heads-up deal with Anirudh ‘flash’ Reddy (runner-up for ₹2.18 Lakhs). This is Mall’s first IOPC title, and the winning score pushed him up one place to #8 on the annual leaderboard standings.

IOPC #18 – All Rounder winner Abhijeet ‘TheSupremeOne’ Kumar placed runner-up in the IOPC#20 for ₹94,576. He cashed another three IOPC events yesterday, cumulatively earning ₹1.34 Lakhs. These scores saw him climb up four places to #2 in the ₹1 Crore GTD IOPC leaderboard standings with 2,886 points.

The Pride title was Dishani Vijay`s third recorded victory on the site, and she now has ₹30.38 Lakhs in online winnings (across PokerBaazi & Adda52).

Despite the IOPC hogging much of the spotlight, the ₹3,850 entry buy-in The Pride still managed to crush its advertised guarantee, creating a ₹13.72 Lakhs prize pool from an entry field of 392 participants (includes 198 re-entries).

The #1 ranked player on the annual leaderboard, Manish ‘thekid’ Lakhotia, was once again in the thick of the action. The Siliguri-based pro has already picked up five FT scores this week, including shipping the IOPC#11 Monday Spotlight. He added a sixth FT payout to the tally by placing third for ₹1.30 Lakhs.
