The weekends, especially Sundays, have become so massive in terms of guarantees that the regular weekday fare almost always pales in comparison. This is most apparent on Mondays and yesterday was no different. The headliner event of the day was Spartan Poker’s Recharge ₹12 Lakhs GTD that drew an impressive 631-strong field (279 unique, 115 re-entries and 237 rebuys), making for a guarantee-smashing ₹12.62 Lakhs prize pool.

At the cost of sounding biased, it`s worth highlighting how the PokerGuru Ambassadors have done wonders and, more often than not, seem to find a prominent mention in our winner reports. The last of these exploits saw Gokul Raj taking down the Millionaire on Sunday, and Laksh Pal Singh posting a runner-up finish in the WPT Cambodia $1,100 Main Event Warm-Up. Last night it was another PokerGuru Ambassador Ratul ‘Atriohm’ Steves who put in a thumping performance in the Recharge, finishing runner-up to ‘ddege001’ to win ₹1.55 Lakhs. The former banked ₹2.44 Lakhs for his win.

In the other Spartan Poker events, Siddhanth ‘bullzeye’ Kapoor (Daily Hi-Fi ₹6 Lakhs GTD for ₹1.02 Lakhs), Naren ‘IMUNAGI’ Purohit (Ultimate PLO ₹2 Lakhs GTD for ₹67,100) and ‘PropokerChamp’ (Last Chance ₹1.25 Lakhs GTD for ₹30,265) won titles.

Over at PokerBaazi, there were sizeable overlays in the majors, offering excellent value to participating players. The Bout ₹10 Lakhs GTD was hit the hardest with a shortfall of ₹1.44 Lakhs, with only 214 entries (120 unique and 94 re-entries) registering to play. ‘karmapooker’ came out on top to collect the winner’s cheque worth ₹2.35 Lakhs. Also making a podium finish was PokerGuru Ambassador, Ashutosh ‘senojwod’ Balodhi, who topped the 133-strong field to win the MegaStack ₹3 Lakhs GTD for ₹80,000.

Another Monday major making its scheduled run was Adda52’s Goa Fest ₹8 Lakhs GTD. The Monday Blues hit Adda52 as well that had to pitch in ₹1.70 Lakhs in overlays. Things turned out most profitable for ‘ChupaRustam2901’ who defeated Vaibhav ‘alienrobot’ Sharma to the finish line and won ₹2.16 Lakhs. Sharma, who has a MoneyMaker win under his belt and has final-tabled four events across the WPT Vietnam, IPC, and WPT India stops in the last three months alone, banked ₹1.36 Lakhs for placing second.

As for the Hexagram ₹2.5 Lakhs GTD, with 112 entries (58 unique and 54 re-entries), the event fell almost 20% short of meeting the guarantee. Making a podium finish in the event was the unknown superstar ‘xoredvoid’. The player had won this event in September and even took down the Godfather XI a few days ago for ₹5.70 Lakhs. Last night he collected ₹72,500.

On PokerStars India, Armaan ‘armaan007111’ Kochhar topped a field of 192 entries (102 unique and 90 re-entries) to win the Monday Hustle ₹6 Lakhs GTD for ₹1.19 Lakhs.

The StackUp @8PM on 9stacks drew a healthy 216 entries (123 unique, 34 re-entries and 59 rebuys) bringing together ₹2.73 Lakhs in prize money. In the end, it was Vishal ‘GTOcrusher’ Madan taking home the title along with a ₹73,710 payday.

Eagleeye’ was the big Monday winner on Poker Dangal yesterday and championed the Texas ₹1 Lakhs GTD for ₹24,000.
