Mondays are notorious for being the off days for the MTT regs, with the player turnouts typically the slowest we see all week. However, Spartan Poker`s Winter Celebration Seriesand Adda52`s uniquely-branded Series of Legends” drove the Monday blues away!

The 2.60 Crores GTDSeries of Legendssaw the former Maverick winner Depapriya Manna shipping the Profish Malik (named after poker pro Akash Malik) for 3.68 Lakhs, banking the day`s single-largest score. Debayan Das placed runner-up for 2.18 Lakhs.

David2000’ championed Spartan Poker’s WCS #46 ReCharge for 2.88 Lakhs, with Rising Star Aman ‘KarmaPoker’ Parakh earning a runner-up payout worth 1.95 Lakhs.

Another Rising Star, Ritwik Khanna, broke an over four-month-long title drought by winning Spartan Poker’s WCS #48 Deepstack for 1.83 Lakhs. Khanna cashed another two events, collecting over 2.74 lakhs.

Aayush Arya championed PokerBaazi’s The Big Show for 1.83 Lakhs, beating ‘madon’ (2nd for 1.28 Lakhs) in heads-up play.

Ashish Kumar won PokerStars India’s Battle Royale for the second time this year for 1.07 Lakhs. Pranav Khandalkar came second 70,679.

Chirag Sodha, Md Nazim, Hemant Meena, Shekhar Singh, Chetraj Mishra, and Partho Dutta were the other prominent winners.

Spartan Poker

Monday marked Day 6 of Spartan Poker`s Winter Celebration Series, and the site handed out eight titles yesterday. The day`s featured event was the 12 Lakhs GTD WCS #46 ReCharge, where 326 entries generated a 13.04 Lakhs prize pool. The event ran from 8 PM to 4.05 AM, and mystery player ‘David2000’ walked away with the title and the 2.88 Lakhs up-top. Rising Star Aman ‘KarmaPoker’ Parakh finished runner-up for 1.95 Lakhs.

RitwikFisherman1997’ Khanna was another standout winner. The Rising Star finally ended an over four-time-long title curse as he overcame a 347-strong field in the 8 Lakhs GTD WCS #48 Deepstack to win 1.83 Lakhs. ‘SubuDan’ stood second for 1.24 Lakhs.

Ritwik Khanna cashed another two events, adding over 2.74 Lakhs in Monday earnings.

Following six days of action, the annual leaderboard topper Young Gun Gaurav ‘mozzie17’ Sood is still the player to catch at the top of the WCS Featured Leaderboard standings with 1,745 points. Rising Star Ritwik ‘Fisherman1997’ Khanna`s (1,506 points) Monday night run has pushed him to #2 in the rankings while Young Gun Shardul ‘Caribbean Flex’ Parthasarathi (1,361 points) has slipped to #3.

The biggest draw on PokerBaazi last night, 7.50 Lakhs GTD The Big Show, obliterated its posted guarantee by 1.23 Lakhs as 349 participants bought in for 2,750. The top 45 places got paid, and Aayush ‘Learnnwin’ Arya won the title for 1.83 Lakhs. The user ‘madon’ placed runner-up for 1.28 Lakhs.

The 5 Lakhs GTD Battle Royale headlined the Monday schedule on PokerStars India. The 2,350 buy-in event registered a 224-entry field, filling in a little over 20,000 in overlays. Ashish ‘TRIPPINonACID’ Kumar was the last player standing and won the event for the second time this year for 1.07 Lakhs (includes 62,002 in bounties). Pranav ‘pkpok13’ Khandalkar came second for 70,679 (includes 25,790 in bounties).

Last night`s win fetched Ashish Kumar his ninth title for the year. Interestingly, Kumar’s last title win from three months ago (September 13) was in this same event. His online stats: Lifetime Winnings: 71.33 Lakhs | Lifetime Profit: 16.37 Lakhs

Adda52`s brand-new “Series of Legends”(SOL) comprises nine uniquely branded events with 2.60 Crores GTD across the series. SOL runs from December 13 to 19, and Day 1 of the series had two events running.

The only SOL event to play down to a winner yesterday, 15 Lakhs GTD Profish Malik (named after poker pro Akash Malik), brought in 458 participants resulting in an overlay shortfall worth 57,300, and the top 49 places got paid. The former Maverick champion Debapriya ‘debapriya_12345’ Manna was the last player standing and bagged his fifth title (on Adda52) this year and a 3.67 Lakhs cash prize! Debayan ‘debz19’ Das finished runner-up for 2.17 Lakhs.

Puneet ‘j4jolly’ Mishra (293,076), Siddhanth ‘Sidstack’ Kripalani (252,142), Abhishek ‘thegrinder’ Garg (208,444), ‘pobel’ (194,771), and Prateek ‘prateek_k’ Kurkanji (179,715) topped the day-end chip counts.
