The Friday grind turned out to be value-driven for one for many, and some of the best MTT players in the country cashed the top scores.

The day`s biggest winner was Ritwik Khanna, who added over ₹6.75 Lakhs to his tally from four FT finishes! The Rising Star earned most of it from his runner-up finish in Adda52’s ₹30 Lakhs GTD DeepStack Titan that fetched him ₹5.28 Lakhs!

The other big winners of the day included Young Gun Sahil Chutani (won Adda52`s ₹30 Lakhs GTD DeepStack Titan for ₹6.65 Lakhs), former Game Changer winner Siddhanth Kripalani (runner-up in Spartan Poker’s ₹30 Lakhs GTD The Elite for ₹4.57 Lakhs), Anudeep Gupta (won PokerBaazi’s ₹12 Lakhs GTD The Weekly Highroller for ₹3.37 Lakhs) and Sreekanth Narayan (won Spartan Poker’s ₹10 Lakhs GTD Futuristic for ₹1.67 Lakhs!

Spartan Poker`s “FABruary” promotions have finally reached their final weekend, and the last of the four ₹1 Crore GTD The Millionaire editions lined up this month got underway yesterday. Day 1A logged in 274 participants, and 39 hopefuls made it through to Day 2. Pranjal ‘lilmessipranjal’ Gandhi (278,606) bagged the end-of-day chip lead, with PokerGuru Ambassador Ankit ‘Shippament’ Wadhawan (247,935) and seasoned pro Sahil ‘ImHighIshove’ Mahboobani (179,288) carrying forward the next top stacks.

The Friday headliner, ₹30 Lakhs GTD The Elite, clocked in 321 entrants to accumulate a guarantee-crushing ₹32.10 Lakhs prize pool. It took almost eight hours to play down to a winner, and the heads-up showdown took place between two former The Millionaire champions. The February Millionaire champion ‘EL_Gadafi’ was the last player standing and won ₹6.78 Lakhs, with The Millionaire United winner, Siddhanth ‘PluRibu$’ Kripalani, placing runner-up for ₹4.57 Lakhs. Kripalani missed out on winning his third The Elite title.

MTT pro Sreekanth ‘TheGTObot’ Narayan made it across the ₹3 Crore-mark in lifetime earnings last night after taking down Spartan Poker`s ₹10 Lakhs GTD Futuristic for ₹1.66 Lakhs. He struck a heads-up deal with Sunil ‘bababk’ Arora (runner-up for ₹1.36 Lakhs). The event experienced an overlay shortfall of ₹1.51 Lakhs (over 15% of the posted guarantee) after registering 1,212 runners.

The high-value ₹10 Lakhs GTD Millionaire D’lite ran two starting flights on Friday. The event sported an increased ₹220 entry buy-in, up from ₹165 the last three weekends. The first of seven starting flights commenced at 3 PM yesterday and recorded 710 entries. Topping the 78 survivors was ‘AceTen Martin’ (196,072) with ‘Alley95’ (183,060) close on his heels. The second starting flight garnered 445 entries, and only 49 players advanced through to Day 2. Rahul ‘Vasili Arkhipov’ Lal (160,329), ‘ShipRiver31’ (128,212) and ‘Chipsflickr’ (126,277) bagged the top stacks.

 

PokerStars India

PokerStars India`s ₹5 Lakhs GTD Uppercut recorded 233 entrants who bought in for ₹2,200 to leave an overlay of ₹34,000. The mystery player ‘biraisb’ captured the title for ₹1.08 Lakhs (₹49,228 in prize money, ₹58,609 in bounties) after defeating ‘GudThimma’ in the heads-up play.

The ₹1.75 Lakhs GTD Classic featuring a ₹1,375 entry buy-in attracted 157 contenders, making for a guarantee-smashing ₹1.96 Lakhs prize pool, and the top 18 places walked past the money line. ‘lovlok2’ took down the tourney, netting ₹39,060 in prize money. Soumya ‘calyx666’ Keshri placed runner-up for ₹32,106.

The ₹70K GTD Bigstack Turbo registered 87 entries – falling 13 entries short of its 100-player guarantee. After a quick three-hour sprint, MTT reg Swapnil ‘pokpom1’ Patil shipped the tourney, winning ₹16,022, just as ‘rmk1978’ finished runner-up for ₹12,095.

PokerBaazi`s Friday headliner ₹12 Lakhs GTD The Weekly High Roller recorded 126 entrants, collecting ₹12.60 Lakhs in the prize pool. Anudeep ‘zeroseven’ Gupta outlasted them all to win ₹3.37 Lakhs, with the former The Millionaire champion Dhinesh ‘dhineshrocky007’ Kumar coming second for ₹2.36 Lakhs.

Adda52`s ATOC series entered Day 2 on Friday. The weekend special ₹75 Lakhs GTD AOTC Mini Main Event ran the first of its five starting flights yesterday. Starting at 7 PM, the tourney logged in 242 entries, and only 29 advanced through to Day 2. The former Millionaire champion, Ayush ‘lazyman’ Garg (324,852), bagged the end-of-day chip lead with Pratibha ‘TeamRocket’ Arya (287,085) and MTT coach Danish ‘King0fMerge’ Shaikh (216,542) rounding out the top three stacks of the flight.

The day`s ATOC trophy event, the ₹30 Lakhs GTD DeepStack Titan, registered 429 challengers, filling in ₹74,220 in overlays. Young Gun Sahil ‘bluffme19’ Chutani beat the competition to pick up his fourth tourney title of the year, pocketing ₹6.65 Lakhs for the win. The cash game reg struck a heads-up deal with Rising Star Ritwik ‘ritwik27’ Khanna (runner-up for ₹5.28 Lakhs). The Friday night score helped Chutani hit the ₹1 Crore-mark in lifetime profits – he currently boasts of ₹2.28 Crores in lifetime earnings.

With this win, Narayan surpassed the ₹3 Crores-mark (₹3.01 Crores) in online earnings.
