It was a value-driven Wednesday for poker players, with several of the day’s marquees filling in significant overlays.

The star of the day was Rohan Bhasin, who topped Spartan Poker’s ₹40 Lakhs GTD FTS#8 Challenger live-streamed FT to win ₹7.79 Lakhs.

PokerGuru Staking had a field day with numerous top finishes. PokerGuru Ambassadors Naresh Veeravalli & Ashish Ahuja clinched flagship titles with teammates Ankit Wadhawan & Shashank Desai, posting runner-up finishes. Making his second featured event FT at the ongoing FTS, PokerGuru Ambassador Gokul Raj placed fifth in the FTS#8 Challenger last night.

Siddhanth Kripalani, Aditya Kulkarni, and Varun Devayya championed the other Wednesday marquees.

Here are the day`s highlights!

Spartan Poker

Day 4 of the FTS 2.0 series had three tournaments lined up, and just as they went underway, Tuesday’s featured tourney, the ₹40 Lakhs GTD FTS#8 Challenger final table kicked off. Starting at 6 PM, it took about two hours to play down to a winner, with Rohan ‘The Sightseer’ Bhasin eventually coming out on top to collect the ₹7.73 Lakhs winner’s paycheque.

Just as the FTS#8 Challenger was playing down to a champion, the fourth featured event of the series, the ₹16,500 entry buy-in FTS#11 Big Game, kicked off. The ₹85 Lakhs GTD event happens to be the biggest guaranteed tourney in the ongoing series so far. The event registered 543 runners, overlaying ₹3.55 Lakhs, and like all previous featured FTS 2.0 events, the game was paused once the eight-handed FT was formed. As expected from an event at such a price point, the FT lineup is replete with experienced regs. Well-known MTT reg Goonjan ‘gmtesting’ Mall (3,525,107) bagged the overnight chip lead with Arjun ‘lol this guy’ Pasricha (2,777,602) set to make his second FT appearance at FTS 2,.0. Vivek ‘Pokerbatman27’ Rughani (2,016,264) was the only other player carrying forward a 2 Million+ stack to the FT.

The final table will be live-streamed across several platforms, including the PokerGuru Facebook page.

Offering the second-biggest guarantee at the FTS series on Wednesday was the ₹25 Lakhs GTD FTS#12. Unlike the FTS Challenger, an entry field of 864 entries ensured a guarantee-busting ₹25.92 Lakhs prize pool collection. The IOPC Millionaire United champion Siddhanth ‘PluRibu$’ Kripalani added the missing FTS title to his illustrious poker resume after shipping the tourney for ₹4.97 Lakhs. PokerGuru Ambassador Ankit ‘Shippament’ Wadhawan secured a runner-up score worth ₹3.12 Lakhs. Kripalani now has ₹3.10 Crores in recorded online earnings.
