While the excitement of live poker tournaments like Poker Dream 12 Jeju, APT Taipei, and the Manila Megastack 19 is drawing players around the globe, the online action is still where it’s at for many of the circuit’s regulars back home. Thursday was no exception, with PokerBaazi’s 10th Anniversary celebrations setting the online felts ablaze. The Summit, the day’s main attraction with a whopping ₹50 Lakhs guarantee, attracted the country’s top poker talent. Natural8 India’s WSOP Online Series, which has already seen some life-changing wins, is in its final days, keeping everyone on edge to see if India will snag another bracelet. And, of course, Adda52 and Junglee Poker hosted their own thrilling tournaments, ensuring a day packed with high-stakes action where the pros stole the show!
The poker community is buzzing with anticipation for the upcoming ₹25 Crores GTD G.O.A.T., India’s largest-ever poker tournament, set to kick off on October 1. With a mind-blowing ₹5 Crores reserved for the champion, this tournament could completely shake up the Player of the Year race.
Amidst all this excitement, Rubin Labroo reigned supreme on Thursday! ‘Pokerface7,‘ a name you might not have heard before, pulled off a surprise victory in Junglee Poker’s ₹10 Lakhs GTD Thursday PLO 4 MiniHighroller last night. This player, relatively unknown on the platform, outplayed seasoned regulars to claim a stunning win and make a serious mark.
The road to victory was no walk in the park. ‘Pokerface7’ faced a fierce field of 148 competitors in a gripping seven-hour marathon. This 8 PM PLO 4 flagship event was a true test of skill and stamina, but ‘pokerface7’ rose to the occasion. They had to re-enter the fray a third time after busting twice early on, but they didn’t just survive; they thrived. They turned into a bounty-hunting machine, raking in a massive ₹2.31 Lakhs, with ₹1.27 Lakhs of that coming from bounties alone!
The competition was fierce. ‘gagangaming’ put up a valiant fight, but they had to settle for second place in the end. Still, they walked away with a respectable ₹1.10 Lakhs, including ₹5,812 in bounties, from their two entries – not a bad night’s work by any means.
Ranjit ‘Bedevilforyou’ Negi, who won the Wednesday Superstack on Junglee Poker two weeks ago, came into the Thursday PLO 4 MiniHighroller with momentum on his side. He came close to repeating his success, finishing in third place with ₹1.29 Lakhs (₹57,843 in bounties). But Negi wasn’t done yet; he made another final table appearance in Adda52’s Godfather, taking seventh place for ₹72,877. All in all, he pocketed a total of ₹2.02 Lakhs on Thursday night – an impressive showing, to say the least.
The ₹6,900 buy-in Thursday PLO-4 Highroller was already an enticing event, but a substantial overlay shortfall of ₹1.12 Lakhs turned it into an absolute bonanza for the players. The top 14 finishers got a share of the prize pool, while others cashed in on those juicy bounties, making it a night to remember for many at the Junglee Poker tables!

Pradip ‘Nit2Donk’ Ghosh, the one and only ‘SPRINT King,’ got back on the saddle and galloped to another big win last night. Coming off a final table finish in Adda52`s Maverick the night before, Ghosh stormed into the ₹25 Lakhs GTD Godfather and emphatically claimed his third flagship victory this month. This triumph not only marked a remarkable 15th title win for the Durgarpur-based poker pro, but it’s also his second time conquering this prestigious Thursday headliner after a previous win in June 2022. Ghosh is clearly a force to be reckoned with in the MTT circuit.

September has been a month to remember for Ghosh. While his campaign with the Gujarat Falcons in the Pocket52 PSL Season 6 might not have gone as planned, his online performance has more than made up for it. He kicked off the month in style, winning the 1000X#24 and 1000X#23 (6-Max) on the same day. He followed that up with near-misses in PokerBaazi’s 1000X33 (5-Max) and Adda52’s Maverick, alongside five final table finishes. His red-hot form has propelled him into the top 15 of the annual TLB standings and has him knocking on the door of the exclusive ₹2 Crores club in annual winnings, a feat few have achieved.
Last night’s victory was just the highlight of Ghosh’s remarkable Thursday grind. His unstoppable momentum carried him through four more deep runs, boosting his total Thursday earnings to a grand ₹5.21 Lakhs – finishing just behind Rubin Labroo as the day`s second-biggest winner!

Ankit ‘d00mtr00p3r’ Wadhawan is lighting up the online poker scene! This Chandigarh-based pro has been on an absolute heater ever since he got back to the virtual tables after a busy summer at the 2024 WSOP in Las Vegas. His incredible run throughout August, which included back-to-back wins in Spartan Poker’s Sunday Supreme and PokerBaazi’s IPM#158 Afterparty, was just a taste of what was to come. Wadhawan kicked off September with a bang by winning The Pride and, as of last night, has added two more titles to his growing list of achievements.
Wadhawan’s unstoppable grind this week started with him taking down PokerBaazi Daily Super Value on Wednesday. But he wasn’t satisfied with just one victory. He returned to the action on Thursday night and dominated Adda52’s ₹5 Lakhs GTD Monster Turbo, battling through a tough field of 174 entries (106 unique). After an intense, fast-paced 4.5-hour showdown in this 10 PM marquee event, Wadhawan clinched his first-ever Monster Turbo win and a well-deserved ₹1.01 Lakhs top prize. Ashish ‘ashish8888’ Dhaka, a loyal Adda52 player since June 2018, came heartbreakingly close to capturing his first-ever online title in the Monster Turbo. Despite the close call, he still earned a respectable ₹76,138, though the elusive title remains just out of reach.
