Headlining the action on Spartan Poker is the Spartan Value Series (SVS) that got underway on March 4 and will close out over the weekend on March 8. The star attraction of the series, The Millionaire Lite, kicked off yesterday. Ringing in 548 entries (263 unique, 59 re-entries and 226 re-buys), the first starting flight ended with only 52 runners left in the fray, and Rahul ‘sttoned’ Kumar bagged the most massive stack of 268,242.

Dhirendra ‘dhiru91’ Kumar (186,306) and PokerGuru Ambassador Arjanveer Singh ‘bazzingaa’ Chadha (184,797) rounded out the top three stacks at the end of the play. Day 1B is slated to begin at 6 PM later today.

Besides The Millionaire Lite, the other big guarantee event on Spartan Poker was The Elite ₹30 Lakhs GTD that brought in 295 entrants (132 unique, 76 re-entries and 87 re-buys). Tournament regular Sagar ‘strangeplay’ Choudhury made good use of the ₹50,000 overlay and took down the event for an enormous ₹6.34 Lakhs payday!

With The Millionaire Lite drawing most of the attention, the other events on Spartan Poker suffered overlays. While the TGIF ₹10 Lakhs GTD logged in 603 participants (285 unique, 99 re-entries and 219 re-buys) and fell short by ₹95,500, the Dominator ₹6 Lakhs GTD could only muster 212 entries (103 unique, 26 re-entries and 83 rebuys), resulting in a shortfall of ₹1.76 Lakhs. Anonymous user ‘takemymoney’ won the TGIF for ₹1.94 Lakhs, following a heads-up deal with Danny ‘LazyBrahmin’ Enfielder (runner-up for ₹1.23 Lakhs). Young Gun Gaurav ‘mozzie17’ Sood championed the Dominator for ₹1.50 Lakhs. Sood also final tabled the PPL#46 ₹10 Lakhs GTD, finishing sixth for ₹44,300.

The PokerBaazi Premier League (PPL) is now just two days from its finale, and the marquee event on its Friday roster was the PPL#47 Value Town ₹15 Lakhs GTD. Registering 1,103 hopefuls (667 unique and 436 re-entries), the event smashed its advertised guarantee to collect a prize pool of ₹16.54 Lakh. ‘maddwag’ topped the field and walked away with ₹2.81 Lakhs in prize money.

The PPL#46 ₹10 Lakhs GTD clocked in 308 entries (166 unique and 142 re-entries), forcing the site to fill in a shortfall of ₹76,000. The GameChanger 2.0 champion Shagun ‘sogani22’ Jain ran past the field and bested seasoned pro Raghav ‘thatssosick’ Bansal (runner-up for ₹1.55 Lakhs) heads-up, banking a top prize worth ₹2.20 Lakhs.

Adda52 hosted the AOPS Whale ₹25 Lakhs GTD yesterday. The event gathered 423 runners (218 unique and 205 re-entries), collecting ₹28.97 Lakhs in the prize pool. Vinayak ‘bhai_on_mary_jane’ Bajaj emerged victorious and bagged a massive payout of ₹6.18 Lakhs.

Day 1A of AOPS Mega Suits ₹50 Lakhs GTD also played out last night. The event garnered 272 entries (158 unique and 114 re-entries), which was reduced to 25 by the time the first starting flight wrapped up. Vinay ‘ContemporisT’ BK bagged the biggest stack of 315,188. PokerGuru Ambassador Jayjit ‘pokerminator’ Ray (304,054) and Raghav ‘BaLuGaWhAlE’ Bansal (219,863) collected the second and third largest stacks, respectively.

Over at PokerStars India, the Uppercut 6-Max MAGIC Edition ₹10 Lakhs GTD failed to meet its offered guarantee by ₹1.56 Lakhs on the back of 211 entries (105 unique and 106 re-entries). ‘Heisenberg6291’ shipped the event after defeating online regular Harsh ‘kakori kabab’ Dembla (runner-up for ₹1.06 Lakhs) in the heads-up battle, pocketing the ₹1.89 Lakhs up top.

Another player who deserves special mention is the unknown user ‘Chennaino1’ who picked up two back-to-back titles in PokerBaazi’s PPL#48 6-Max ₹2 Lakhs GTD for ₹50,354 and PPL#45 7-Max ₹2 Lakhs GTD for ₹49,740, respectively.
