Well-known pro and poker coach Sahil ‘Variance’ Agarwal banked a colossal ₹21.12 Lakhs in first-place prize money, after besting tournament regular Vaibhav ‘Nikka Zaildar’ Sharma heads-up, who walked away with an equally impressive ₹14.34 Lakhs for his runner-up finish.

The SSS#43 Ultron ₹22 Lakhs GTD was the other big-ticket tourney that played out on Spartan Poker last night, and it pulled in 711 participants (324 unique, 128 re-entries and 259 re-buys), posting a prize pool worth ₹28.44 Lakhs. Unknown player ‘Aarnav’ came out on top, winning a hefty ₹5.50 Lakhs.

Meanwhile, seasoned pro Alok ‘Mazacar’ Birewar ran past a field of 404 entries (195 unique, 66 re-entries and 143 re-buys) in Spartan Poker’s SSS#45 Big Bounty ₹7 Lakhs GTD, netting a top prize of ₹1.62 Lakhs.

PokerBaazi’s The Summit ₹15 Lakhs GTD was another crowd-pleaser that registered 304 entrants (145 unique and 159 re-entries), resulting in a prize pool collection of ₹22.80 Lakhs. Seasoned pro Raghav ‘thatssosick’ Bansal championed the event after besting PokerGuru Ambassador Kartik ‘TheInternetKid’ Ved (runner-up for ₹3.53 Lakhs) heads-up to add ₹5.03 Lakhs to his bankroll.

Like the other flagships, even Adda52’s Godfather ₹25 Lakhs GTD enjoyed a successful run. The tourney logged in a ₹34.45 Lakhs prize pool through 689 entries (331 unique and 358 re-entries). In the end, it was the 2020 India Poker Champion, Rubin ‘kornkif’ Labroo, who defeated Sreekanth ‘n0thing’ Narayan (runner-up for ₹4.57 Lakhs) heads-up to collect the ₹7.92 Lakhs up top.

PokerStars India’s Highroller ₹15 Lakhs GTD gathered a 267-strong entry field (150 unique and 117 re-entries), leading to a prize pool collection of ₹18.69 Lakhs. PokerGuru Ambassador Laksh ‘B00MTilt23’ Pal Singh topped the field to take home ₹3.21 Lakhs in prize money, after making a heads-up deal with Srihari ‘bangbang1999’ Bang (runner-up for ₹2.96 Lakhs).

One of the headline events of the Spartan Super Series (SSS), the SSS#44 Super High Roller ₹55 Lakhs GTD, played out amid 176 entries (99 unique, 45 re-entries and 32 re-buys) entries yesterday to generate a ₹88 Lakhs prize pool. Coming out on top of the stacked field was well-known MTT reg and poker coach Sahil ‘Variance’ Agarwal, who walked away with a sizeable ₹21.12 Lakhs paycheque.

Agarwal, who has been a part of the circuit for a very long time, happens to be one of our former Young Guns. He last made the headlines in January for winning the PHP 20K Kickoff at the PokerStars Red Dragon Manila. Yesterday he defeated another well-known reg Vaibhav ‘Nikka Zaildar’ Sharma heads-up to win his best score this year so far. Sharma collected ₹14.34 Lakhs for his runner-up finish.
