The ongoing ₹30 Crores GTD IOPC January 2022 edition set the stage for an action-driven Thursday, and the ₹1 Crore GTD IOPC #49 – High Roller had the virtual felts buzzing with excitement.
Young Gun Sahil Chutani came out all guns blazing last night as he won the IOPC #49 – High Roller on Spartan Poker for a career-best ₹23.20 Lakhs following a heads-up deal with former IOPC Legends winner Amit Gehani (2nd for ₹21.13 Lakhs).
The user ‘Sami5’ championed IOPC #48 – Thursday Prime for a site-best ₹7.71 Lakhs and pipped WSOP bracelet winner Abhinav Iyer (2nd for ₹4.80 Lakhs) in the heads-up play. Iyer also placed third in Adda52’s Godfather for ₹2.53 Lakhs, collectively adding ₹7.33 Lakhs.
Sagar C won the Godfather for the second time for ₹5.60 Lakhs after striking a heads-up deal with ‘mrscaryking’ (2nd for ₹4.50 Lakhs).
Armaan Kochhar took down PokerBaazi’s The Summit for ₹5.29 Lakhs. Young Gun Sanat Mehrotra came second for ₹3.71 Lakhs.
PokerGuru Ambassador Laksh Pal Singh won the IOPC #50 – Thursday Spotlight for his fifth career IOPC title and ₹3.50 Lakhs in prize money. He chopped the top prize heads-up with Romit Advani (2nd for ₹3.38 Lakhs). The #3 ranked player of 2021, Singh added another ₹1.53 Lakhs from his third-place finish in PokerStars India’s Highroller, winning ₹5.04 Lakhs collectively.
PokerStars India’s user ‘Monkey D. Wolfy’ shipped the Highroller for ₹2.57 Lakhs. The first player to win three titles at the ongoing IOPC series, Young Gun Karan Radia, collected ₹1.98 Lakhs in second place.
The former Sunday Superstack third-place finisher Madhab Pal won his second career IOPC title in IOPC #51 – All Rounder Monster Stack for ₹2.34 Lakhs. Aryan Singh finished runner-up for ₹1.93 Lakhs, courtesy of a heads-up deal.
IOPC #40 champion Saahib Bawa was the last player standing in IOPC #47 – Monster Stack and won ₹1.61 Lakhs, bagging his second IOPC title on consecutive days. Vinay ‘ConCrete’ B placed runner-up for ₹99,989.
Tanmay Benara won the Sprint 7-Max on PokerBaazi`s for the third time last night for ₹1.46 Lakhs after besting Raman Arora (2nd for ₹1.02 Lakhs) heads-up
Chirag Sodha conquered Adda52’s Monster Turbo for ₹1.43 Lakhs.
Himanshu Chhikara championed IOPC #46 for ₹1.03 Lakhs following a four-way deal with the IOPC #24 – Blaze runner-up finisher Amit Kaushik (2nd for ₹84,446), ‘FadeOrHoldz’ (3rd for ₹81,756), and ‘Sammyy’ (4th for ₹81,301).

Spartan Poker
The guarantee-crushing IOPC January Edition had eight marquee events on the Thursday schedule, and seven of them played down to a winner.
The day`s biggest draw was the second eight-figure guaranteed event of the series, the ₹1 Crore GTD IOPC #49 – High Roller. The ₹55,000 buy-in event registered 239 contenders (145 unique, 57 re-entries, and 37 rebuys), collecting a hefty ₹1.19 Crores prize pool. After nine hours of play, Young Gun Sahil ‘$lim$hady19’ Chutani came out on top to win a career-best ₹23.20 Lakhs and his second career IOPC title. He chopped the top prize heads-up with IOPC Legends winner Amit ‘Kavipri’ Gehani (2nd for ₹21.13 Lakhs).

The ₹18 Lakhs GTD IOPC #50 – Thursday Spotlight registered a 730-entry field, leading to a prize pool collection of ₹21.90 Lakhs. The #3 ranked player of 2021, PokerGuru Ambassador Laksh ‘LuckyBhai$’ Pal Singh, outlasted them all to win his first title at the ongoing series (his fifth overall) and ₹3.50 Lakhs in prize money. A heads-up deal saw Romit ’tilt_83′ Advani collect ₹3.38 Lakhs in second place.

The event ran from 11 PM to 5.37 AM, and in the final moments, the former Sunday Superstack third-place finisher Madhab ‘madhabpal2017‘ Pal shook hands on a heads-up deal to claim his second IOPC title for ₹2.34 Lakhs. Aryan ‘bob_marley‘ Singh finished runner-up for ₹1.93 Lakhs.

Prakhar ‘Prak27’ Kapoor placed runner-up for ₹65,397 (includes ₹6,644 in bounties), courtesy of a heads-up deal.
Saransh Garg went on a trailblazing run at the IOPC yesterday and cashed in four of them for ₹1.40 Lakhs cumulatively. He also eliminated the maximum number of players on Thursday to be named the “Crusher of the Day,” and received FREE tickets to all IOPC events on Friday.

Day 1D of the ₹40 Lakhs GTD IOPC Wanderer logged in 521 entries, and 56 among them bagged a stack for Day 2. ‘Pokerbaaz579’ (244,456), ‘rocker_z’ (217,054), ‘aslibadshah’ (203,766), ‘SlugaBed’ (190,976), and Young Gun Anmol ‘Anzzzzz’ Mehta (190,162) rounded out the top five stacks of the day.
The ₹880 buy-in event has filled in a total of 2,479 entries across four starting flights (Day 1A – 678, Day 1B – 673, Day 1C – 607, and Day 1D – 521), with another five flights still to go.
With Day 8 of the IOPC done and dusted, Vinay ‘BeepBeepImaJeep’ Rajpal finally take over the #1 spot on the ₹1 Crore IOPC leaderboard with 6,394 points. Ankit ‘ON_MY_MAC’ Bajaj (5,791 points) stumbled down to #2 in the standings. ‘NoConnection’ (5,724 points) stayed put at the #3 position.
