It was a blockbuster Wednesday on all counts, and PokerGuru Ambassadors kept the team`s scoreboard ticking, extending PokerGuru Staking`s title-winning streak to a sixth consecutive day!

Sanat Mehrotra was without a doubt the standout winner of the day and became the first player to score a hattrick in 2021 after shipping an incredible three IOPC titles on Wednesday.

Spartan Poker

Day 7 of Spartan Poker`s iconic IOPC series played out seven tourneys. Offering the biggest prize pool guarantee of them all was the ₹50 Lakhs GTD IOPC #44 Destiny. The Wednesday signature flagship logged in 980 entries to fall 20 entries (₹1 Lakh) short of its listed guarantee. Young Gun Sahil ‘$lim$hady19’ Chutani navigated his way to the top to win a career-best ₹10.05 Lakhs after striking a heads-up deal with another former Young Gun Ujjwal ‘Paperboi’ Narwal (runner-up for ₹9.95 Lakhs). Along with the prize money, Chutani also booked himself a seat in the Destiny 18.0 SnG Finale to be held on March 21.

This is the third title for Chutani in the last four days. On Sunday, he had championed two tourneys – the ₹30 Lakhs GTD Mega Suits and the ₹17 Lakhs GTD ₹50 Lakhs GTD WINTER SERIES -02 Sunday Special SE for a cumulative ₹11.19 Lakhs. On Tuesday, he placed runner-up in the APT #22 Mini Main Event for ₹8.49 Lakhs. Last night’s seven-figure haul has boosted Chutani`s career earnings to ₹2.14 Crores.

The ₹11 Lakhs GTD IOPC #45 was taken down by PokerGuru Ambassador Gokul ‘Super Kings’ Raj. He won his fourth career IOPC title and ₹1.63 Lakhs in prize money following a four-way deal involving teammate Vivek ‘KasolHieghts’ Singh (runner-up for ₹1.60 Lakhs), Sahil ‘ImHighIshove’ Mahboobani (third for ₹1.5 Lakhs), and Pranjal ‘lilmessipranjal’ Gandhi (fourth for ₹1.43 Lakhs). Raj also placed fourth in PokerStars India’s WINTER SERIES-23 Night on Stars for ₹73,078, raking in almost ₹2.36 Lakhs through the day.

The breakout performance of the day came from Sanat ‘Avneed’ Mehrotra. The Mumbai-based MTT pro was simply unstoppable on Wednesday as he scored a hattrick at the IOPC January edition, becoming the first player to do so in 2021. Mehrotra starting his winning spree by taking down the ₹3 Lakhs GTD IOPC #40 for ₹61,996. He went on to bag back-to-back titles by shipping the ₹6.5 Lakhs GTD IOPC #41 for ₹1.48 Lakhs. Later in the night, he championed the IOPC #46 – Destiny – IOPC Edition for another ₹2.01 Lakhs, completing the hattrick. He cashed in another four tourneys, adding almost ₹4.34 Lakhs in earnings to his tally. The Wednesday rally has helped Mehrotra double his IOPC title tally to six, and he currently sits on an impressive ₹4.28 Crores in lifetime earnings.

Sajjan ‘KalaAngrez’ Barnwal (Won IOPC #42 Deepstack ₹5.75 Lakhs GTD for ₹1.13 Lakhs) and ‘2Lucifer2’ (anonymity requested) (Won IOPC #43 PKO ₹3.5 Lakhs GTD for ₹64,189) were the other IOPC winners of the day!

The ₹10 Lakhs GTD Winter Series-23 Night on Stars, the featured tourney of the day, logged in 328 entrants to post an overlay of ₹1.8 Lakhs. The anonymous ‘Achu0614‘ championed the event to win the lion’s share of the prize pool worth ₹1.48 Lakhs. Before taking down the title, ‘Achu0614’ agreed to a three-way deal that saw Ashit ‘Cringing’ Sharma (runner-up for ₹1.31 Lakhs) and Pratibh ‘Pratibh Saluja’ Saluja (3rd for ₹1.43 Lakhs) walking away with other top payouts.

The ₹5 Lakhs GTD Winter Series-25 Big Bubble Rush played out amid 207 runners, collecting ₹5.18 Lakhs in the prize pool. It was 2:44 AM on Thursday by the time Pranay ‘aankhdikhatahai’ Chawla shipped the tourney to win ₹1.17 Lakhs (₹48,798 in prize money and ₹68,437 in bounties). ‘patronpk’ placed runner-up for ₹44,912 (₹35,967 in prize money and ₹8,945 in bounties).

Chawla also placed eighth in PokerBaazi’s APT#28 Wednesday Major for ₹68,506, collecting almost ₹2 Lakhs for the day`s work.

The ₹1.5 Lakhs GTD Winter Series-26 Supersonic saw Vishal ‘KeepYourC()()I_’ Sharma racing past 107 entries to win ₹22,493. Before taking down the title, Sharma shook hands on a three-way deal that saw ‘wolfbacki45’ (runner-up for ₹27,075) – banking the lion’s share of the prize pool – and Rakesh ‘noviceanari’ Sharma placing third for ₹22,682.

The ₹4 Lakhs GTD La Luna registered 212 entries, falling ₹52,320 short on its listed guarantee. PokerBaazi’s inaugural APT Online Series India crowned four winners on Day 6 of the series on Wednesday.

The much-awaited ₹2 Crores GTD APT Main Event is now officially underway! The first of the four starting flights logged in 354 entries. After 27 levels of play, 39 players made the cut for Day 2. Leading them was Young Gun Nishant ‘nishant177’ Sharma (318,000), with PokerGuru Ambassador Kartik ‘TheInternetKid’ Ved (315,000) and Rishab ‘ryuk’ Malik (284,000) bagging the top three stacks of the day. There are three more flights to go before Day 2 on January 26.

The ₹20 Lakhs GTD APT#28 Wednesday Major was the APT trophy event of the day. The ₹5,500 entry buy-in event pulled in 529 entries to collect a guarantee crushing ₹26.45 Lakhs. PokerGuru Ambassador Jayjit ‘england’ Ray walked away with the APT trophy and a site-best ₹5.14 Lakhs after defeating Palash ‘nutshainbro’ Nandwani (runner-up for ₹3.6 Lakhs) in the heads-up play. On the final hand of the tourney, Ray’s held up against Nandwani’s to get the Kolkata-based MTT pro his first APT Online title. Ray now has over ₹2.89 Crores in lifetime earnings.

The ₹7 Lakhs GTD APT#27 Turbo wrangled in 412 hopefuls to fall ₹82,000 short of its advertised guarantee. Shubham ‘kalalund’ Bhashker navigated his way to the top to win ₹1.47 Lakhs, defeating ‘borntrouble’ (anonymity requested) heads-up. ‘borntrouble’ might have had to settle for a runner-up payout worth ₹1.03 Lakhs, still they had earlier taken down the ₹3 Lakhs GTD APT#30 (4 Max) Hyper for 68,742. They also FT-ed Spartan Poker’s IOPC #42, placing fifth for ₹31,872, and were the final table bubble in IOPC #40, placing ninth for ₹7,268. In total, the online reg raked in almost ₹2.11 Lakhs on Wednesday, pushing their lifetime tally to ₹3.89 Crores.

Walking away with the bragging rights, in the end, was none other than PokerGuru Ambassador Jayjit ‘england’ Ray. The Kolkata-based MTT pro came out on top to win ₹5.14 Lakhs and his first APT trophy, with Palash ‘nutshainbro’ Nandwani placing runner-up for ₹3.6 Lakhs.

This is the third ₹5+ Lakh-score for Ray this month. On Sunday, Ray had placed fifth in the ₹1.5 Crores GTD IOPC #24 The Millionaire United for ₹6.06 Lakhs. He currently sits on over ₹2.89 Crores in recorded earnings.

For the third time on Wednesday, Sanat avneed’ Mehrotra found himself standing on top of an IOPC tourney, and he scored ₹2.01 Lakhs for the win, along with a seat in the IOPC Destiny SnG Finale on January 31. PokerGuru Ambassador Ashish ‘Spewushhhiiiii’ Ahuja finished runner-up for ₹1.33 Lakhs.

Wednesday turned out to be a red-letter day for Mehrotra, who hit a hattrick in the IOPC January 2021 edition. The IOPC Destiny for the third tourney he won last night after taking down the ₹3 Lakhs GTD IOPC #40 and the ₹6.5 Lakhs GTD IOPC #41 earlier in the day. Nonetheless, with four more ITM finishes, he cashed in almost ₹4.34 Lakhs, boosting his lifetime tally past ₹4.28 Crores.
