Mondays are usually one of the slowest days of the week. However, yesterday was relatively more exciting, with Spartan Poker’s The Millionaire Series getting underway. Still, most of the day`s flagship tourneys ended up filling in significant overlays!

The Monday night winner’s list was an eclectic mix of prominent regs and relative newcomers that included Sahil Mahboobani, Vineet Kumar, Sanket Arora, Naval Lekhra, Sandeep Varma, and Mukesh Ahuja.

Without further ado, here are the highlights!

Spartan Poker

Spartan Poker`s brand-new The Millionaire Series got off to a sturdy start on December 7 with three tourneys on the tap, offering ₹37 Lakhs in guaranteed prizes between them. Leading the charge was the ₹14 Lakhs GTD Millionaire Series#3 Monster Stack. The ₹3,300 entry buy-in tourney clocked in 507 entries, generating an impressive ₹15.21 Lakhs prize pool. Seasoned pro Sahil ‘ImHighIshove’ Mahboobani bested the former Millionaire Lite champion Dhinesh ‘kendralust’ Kumar heads-up to clinch the title and the top prize of ₹2.95 Lakhs. Kumar walked away with a second-place payout of ₹1.87 Lakhs. With over ₹6.80 Crores in overall online winnings, Mahboobani is less than ₹20 Lakhs shy of hitting the ₹7 Crore-mark.

The ₹12 Lakhs GTD Millionaire Series#2 brought in 598 contenders, falling just two entries short of its guarantee. The anonymous user ‘IpwnYOUdwn9’ struck a heads-up deal with Deepak ‘kidDarko’ Sarith (runner-up for ₹1.77 Lakhs) before netting the ₹2.03 Lakhs top prize.

PokerStars India

PokerStars India`s Monday night special ₹5 Lakhs GTD Battle Royale accumulated 212 entrants on its run last night, collecting a guarantee-smashing ₹5.30 Lakhs. It took a little over six hours of intense play for a winner to emerge, with the mystery user ‘kanvarlal’ coming out on top to win ₹1.10 Lakhs (₹44,239 in prize money and ₹65,937 in bounties). The winner chopped the top prize with ‘rdx1111,’ who banked ₹75,815 (₹46,128 in prize money and ₹29,688 in bounties) for his runner-up finish.

PokerGuru Ambassador Ashish Ahuja topped the Week #1 standing at the ‘Star of the Month’ December leaderboard race. Adda52 has rebranded its signature Monday event, Inception, replacing it with the ₹8 Lakhs GTD Iron Man. The event gathered 437 contenders, overlaying a negligible ₹4,660. Last Thursday’s Godfather champion, Sanket ‘blackcod’ Arora, added a second title to his tally in under a week after taking down the Iron Man for ₹1.62 Lakhs. He struck a heads-up deal with ‘Luckymaster’ (runner-up for ₹1.49 Lakhs). Arora had only recently breached the ₹3 Crore-mark in online winnings, and his current scorecard reflects over ₹3.02 Crores in lifetime earnings.

The second rebranded tournament on Adda52`s Monday roster was the ₹2.5 Lakhs GTD Voyager.
