Most of the Wednesday flagships got hit by the overlay express, and once again, the WPT Online India series dominated the day’s action!

The IOPC #47 Sunday Spotlight champion M Balakrishnan emerged as the day’s biggest winner on the back of two top finishes on Spartan Poker. He shipped the Destiny for ₹4.96 Lakhs and placed runner-up in UVS #18 for ₹61,900, altogether netting ₹5.68 Lakhs through the day.

The former AOPS Mini Highroller champion Sajjan Barnwal scored a thumping victory in the WPT Online India headliner, the WPT Wednesday Rush on Adda52, to win ₹5 Lakhs. The two-time Destiny winner Uttam Kumar Sinha placed runner-up.

The IOPC January 2021 Mastermind Aniket Waghmare bagged the second WPT trophy of the day in the WPT Single Shot (FO) for ₹4.05 Lakhs.

Devrat Singh came within touching distance of winning two WPT Online titles yesterday. The former Full House champion placed second in WPT Single Shot (FO) for ₹2.55 Lakhs and championed the WPT Moonlight for ₹1.21 Lakhs.

Chetraj Mishra took down PokerBaazi’s The Pride for ₹2.35 Lakhs.

Rising Star Aman Parakh championed PokerBaazi’s brand new Daily Sprint 7-Max for ₹1.24 Lakhs after besting Aditya Kulkarni heads-up.

A heads-up deal ensured Rohit Makhija the Wednesday Vibes title and a personal-best ₹1.09 Lakhs. Nishkarsh Madavi placed runner-up.

Manoj Kumar, Yuvraj Bhardwaj, Kritagya Sharma, Sahil Babbar, Karan Sitlani, Ankit Bawa, Rohan Sahni, Pranav Khandalkar & Chirag Sodha championed the other Wednesday flagships.

Spartan Poker

Spartan Poker’s Wednesday line-up of tourneys was headlined by the site`s staple ₹23 Lakhs GTD Destiny. The 8 PM event witnessed 426 participants dishing out the ₹5,500 entry buy-in, leading to an overlay shortfall of ₹1.70 Lakhs. Last month’s IOPC #47 Sunday Spotlight champion M ‘LACHANCE’ Balakrishnan cut his way across the competition to win a career-best ₹4.96 Lakhs. He chopped the title heads-up with ‘buffalosoldier’ (2nd for ₹4.93 Lakhs).

Balakrishnan came close to striking twice as he finished runner-up in the UVS #18. He landed up with scores worth ₹5.68 Lakhs, boosting his online tally to ₹29.50 Lakhs.

His top finishes include:

In the ₹6 Lakhs GTD Wednesday Vibes, Rohit ‘maxi2727’ Makhija ran past the 398-player field, eventually settling for a heads-up deal to pocket his first recorded title of the year and a personal-best ₹1.09 Lakhs. Day 3 of the UVS featured all 6-max tourneys. There were six UVS tourneys on the tap yesterday.

One of June’s Sunday Superstack champion’s Manoj ‘Solder9’ Kumar, shipped the ₹5 Lakhs GTD UVS #18 for ₹97,450, beating last night`s Destiny champion M ‘LACHANCE’ Balakrishnan (2nd for ₹61,900) to the finish line.

The other UVS titles were taken down by ‘cheekychugh’ (Won UVS #17 – The Centurion 6-Max ₹1.25 Lakhs GTD for ₹27,696), ‘BetterthanB4’ (Won UVS #16 6-Max ₹1.8 Lakhs GTD for ₹27,347), ‘GrGambler’ (Won UVS #14 6-Max ₹1.05 Lakhs GTD for ₹20,465), ‘kalu1414’ (Won UVS #15 PLO 6-Max ₹95K GTD for ₹18,086), and Chirag ‘chilling’ Sodha (Won UVS #13 6-Max ₹95K GTD for ₹14,683).

Pawandeep Singh ‘Supercc99’ Wirring (Won ₹35K GTD Striker Anonymous for ₹6,586), ‘akpkak’ (Won ₹13K GTD Epic for ₹3,825), and ‘RED SHARK’ (Won ₹16K GTD Epic for ₹3,176) came out on top in the other Wednesday marquees.

PokerBaazi`s ₹10 Lakhs GTD The Pride clocked in 304 entrants to crush its listed guarantee by ₹64,000, and the top 36 places got paid. After over seven hours of action, Chetraj ‘Chetraj100’ Mishra outran the competition to win ₹2.35 Lakhs, with the user ‘TheTamizhDurrr’ placing runner-up for ₹1.65 Lakhs. Chetraj Mishra improved his recorded earnings on PokerBaazi to ₹15.81 Lakhs after the win.

Rising Star Aman ‘KarmaPoker’ Parakh came out on top in the site`s new turbo-paced ₹5 Lakhs GTD Daily Sprint 7-Max and walked away with ₹1.24 Lakhs. Aditya ‘adit11’ Kulkarni stood second for ₹87,150. The ₹2,200 entry buy-in event registered an overlay deficit of ₹1.38 Lakhs on the back of 181 participants, and the top 21 places finished ITM.

Headlining the Wednesday schedule were two WPT trophy events, and the more prominent of the two, the ₹20 Lakhs GTD WPT Wednesday Rush, saw the former AOPS Mini Highroller champion Sajjan ‘haitohhai’ Barnwal outlasting the 712-entry field to win ₹5 Lakhs. Uttam ‘chinunew’ Kumar Sinha secured a runner-up payday worth ₹2.90 Lakhs.

The former IOPC Mastermind also ran deep in Spartan Poker’s Destiny, placing 21st for ₹18,400. His eighth title win of the year boosted his lifetime MTT earnings to ₹2.75 Crores (₹74.02 Lakhs in net profits).

The former Full House champion Devrat ‘Vickypune’ Singh placed second behind Waghmare in the WPT Single Shot for ₹2.55 Lakhs. He might have missed winning the WPT trophy but managed to take down the ₹6 Lakhs GTD WPT Moonlight for ₹1.21 Lakhs after striking a heads-up deal with Anmol ‘anmol39’ Agarwal (2nd for ₹1.20 Lakhs). Devrat Singh’s cumulative scores for the day stood at ₹3.76 Lakhs. The WPT Moonlight registered 312 entries, overlaying ₹88,320.

The two-time Sunday Special PKO champion Mahesh ‘mahikalra’ Shyamsundar was another prominent winner with three ITM scores worth a collective ₹2.62 Lakhs in earnings. He sits on ₹1.05 Crores in lifetime earnings.

M ‘LACHANCE’ Balakrishnan was the last player standing and recorded a personal-best ₹4.96 Lakhs. Balakrishnan, who had clinched his first IOPC title last month in the IOPC #47 Sunday Spotlight, chopped the Destiny title heads-up with ‘buffalosoldier,’ the latter securing an equally hefty ₹4.93 Lakhs.

Not stopping at that, Balakrishnan posted deep runs in the other two attractions on the site. He finished runner-up in the UVS #18 for ₹61,700 and posted a 12th-place score in the Wednesday Vibes worth ₹9,780. In all, Balakrishnan banked ₹5.68 Lakhs.
