It’s still early in the week, but there is certainly no dearth of action. Let`s take a look back at all that went down across the major online platforms on Tuesday.
Spartan Poker
India`s numero uno site for tournament players, Spartan Poker, once again played host to the most massive guaranteed tourney on Tuesday. The site`s Tuesday flagship MegaStack ₹25 Lakhs GTD logged in 719 entries (360 unique, 138 re-entries, and 221 rebuys), offering remarkable value with an overlay of ₹3.43 Lakhs. The last two players in the tourney ‘masterbluff’ and ‘wcr185’ decided upon a heads-up deal that saw the former take down the title, and the top prize of ₹4.23 Lakhs. The runner-up collected ₹3.63 Lakhs.
The anonymous ‘materbluff’ is a seasoned player who has won several titles on Spartan Poker. His best score on the site was the ₹10.20 Lakhs that he had won for his runner-up finish in the SSS High Roller on May 8.
Like the MegaStack, The Race ₹10 Lakhs GTD, also faltered on its guarantee as a below-par turnout of entries (302 unique, 89 re-entries, and 195 rebuys) resulted in a shortfall of ₹1.21 Lakhs. Climbing to the top of this field was Aman ‘KarmaPoker’ Parakh, who took down the title to win ₹1.94 Lakhs. Parakh has been a juggernaut this entire month and sits proudly on top of the May TLB leaderboard. In fact, this is his second successive winning day, and he added not one but two titles to his name last night. His second victory came in PokerStars India’s INSCOOP-112 Bigstack Turbo that he championed for ₹71,662. He also placed fourth in PokerBaazi’s NLHE Turbo for ₹15,919. Parakh has now won three titles in two days.
The most prominent UVS tourney on Tuesday was the Monster Stack ₹5 Lakhs GTD. The unknown player ‘lex_veldi82’ came out on top of a field of 319 entries to win ₹1.10 Lakhs after striking a the three-way deal with Pranay ‘kabira speaking’ Chawla (runner-up for ₹77,613) and ‘SAMWELL TARLY’ (3rd for ₹68,353). Like the other flagships on Spartan Poker last night, the Monster Stack too fell ₹21.5K short of its advertised guarantee.
PokerBaazi
PokerBaazi`s Tuesday flagship, The Endeavour ₹15 Lakhs GTD, attracted a massive 557-entry field (273 unique entries and 284 re-entries). The top 63 places took a bite out of the ₹19.50 Lakhs prize pool. Outlasting them all was Sandy ‘Ziigmund’ Lamba, who snagged the title along with the ₹3.89 Lakhs first-place cash prize. ‘md20’ finished runner-up for ₹2.66 Lakhs. PokerGuru Ambassador Ratul ‘luna’ Steves finished eighth for ₹50,490 Lakhs.
With over ₹1.05 Crore in recorded online winnings, Lamba boasts of a personal-best score of ₹8.25 Lakhs that he had won in PokerBaazi’s PPL Pride on March 5. This is the second title that Lamba has won this week. He had taken down PokerStars India’s INSCOOP Battle Royale Mini on Monday.
Adda52
Devrat ‘vickypune’ Singh traversed a field of 267 entries (144 unique and 123 re-entries) in Adda52’s Hitman ₹7.50 Lakhs GTD to win ₹2.22 Lakhs. Singh is one of the more consistent winners on the site and has won numerous significant titles in the past like the Go Goa, CS9 Beast, Afterdark Dark, and Sunday Adda52. Notably, this was his second time winning the Hitman title, and the victory brought him his second-biggest score on the site to date. His other Hitman victory had earned him a personal-best ₹3.36 Lakhs last month.
PokerStars India
Over at PokerStars India, the INCOOP Sixth Sense once again failed to meet its guarantee. The event logged in 370 entries (201 unique and 169 e-entries), resulting in a ₹20,000 shortfall on the ₹15 Lakhs GTD. Bringing the curtains down was PokerGuru Ambassador Vivek ‘Mystic Peaks’ Singh, who decimated the competition to win ₹2.59 Lakhs. He defeated ‘imhobadshah’ heads-up with the latter banking ₹1.84 Lakhs as the runner-up prize. Singh has several titles to his name – he most recently won the Destiny Junior title last week for ₹1.34 Lakhs.
The other flagship tourney on PokerStars India, the INSCOOP Super Tuesday ₹5 Lakhs GTD, attracted 143 entries (92 unique and 51 re-entries) falling ₹1.74 Lakhs short of the guarantee. After deciding upon a three-way deal, Abhijeet ‘sexylady7766’ Kumar took down the title and banked ₹81,145. ‘G@rlic1911’ received the most significant share of the prize pool for his runner-up finish worth ₹90,598. Armaan ‘armaan007111’ Kochhar took home ₹70,305 of his third-place finish.
The other standout winners on Tuesday were Aditya ‘adit11’ Kulkarni and Anirban ‘nocluewho’ Das. Kulkarni posted 2 FT finishes on PokerBaazi that included winning the Tuesday MonsterStack. Das also managed 2 FT finishes that included winning the INSCOOP Supersonic title.
