Thursday delivered a firecracker lineup of flagship tournaments, and the majority of them crushed their advertised guarantees comfortably. The weekend ahead promises to be one of the biggest of the year with flagships like the ₹1.50 Crores GTD DOPT Main Event, ₹1 Crore GTD The Millionaire, and ₹1 Crore GTD Summer Series Main Event scheduled to run.

The Game Changer 2.0 champion Shagun Jain topped the Thursday charts after winning PokerStars India`s Summer Series – Super Highroller for ₹8.40 Lakhs, with PokerGuru Ambassador Mithun Mahesh placing runner-up.

Yohan Patel bagged Adda52’s Thursday Feature title for ₹7.05 Lakhs even as the former Full House champion Dhinesh Kumar took down PokerBaazi’s The Summit for ₹4.36 Lakhs.

Young Gun Neel Joshi championed Spartan Poker’s Trending Thursday for ₹4.87 Lakhs, besting India’s first solo WSOP bracelet winner, Abhinav Iyer, heads-up.

Rising Star Aman Parakh won two titles and posted another 11 ITM finishes, picking up ₹2.18 Lakhs in total winnings.

Amar Iyer, Aman Chauhan, Sampanginaidu Vijayalakshmi, Ishant Verma, Aditya Sharma, Vikram Pratapdan Langa, poker streamer Shobhit Bhargava, Ankit Saurabh, Myron Pereira, Bheem Singh Meena, Piyush Nanda, Maipak Raj & Amit Ayare were the other names on the long Thursday winners list.

Spartan Poker

Spartan Poker’s ₹1 Crore GTD The Millionaire kicked off another edition last night, and Day 1A of the ₹5,500 entry buy-in event logged in 303 participants. Forty-six players survived the day`s onslaught. ‘Rektking’ (280,978), ‘Pokerispain’ (256,236), Young Gun Arsh ‘BigggTymer’ Grover (256,078) bagged the top stacks of the day.

The ₹25 Lakhs GTD Trending Thursday registered 577 entries, overlaying ₹1.92 Lakhs. Young Gun Neel ‘Worm33’ Joshi championed the event to win ₹4.87 Lakhs, while India’s first solo WSOP bracelet winner Abhinav ‘hightr0ller’ Iyer raked in ₹3.09 Lakhs for his runner-up finish.

The 24-year-old Neel Joshi is best known for his runner-up finish in the biggest online tournament in Indian poker history, PokerBaazi’s EndBoss, in April last year for ₹65.02 Lakhs. The Trending Thursday victory fetched him his first flagship title of the year, boosting his lifetime tally to ₹3.67 Crores (₹1.45 Crores in net profits).

The second Thursday marquee, the ₹9.5 Lakhs GTD Monster Stack, registered 538 entries to collect ₹10.76 Lakhs in the prize pool. Spartan Poker user ‘0bliviate’ was the last player standing and won a personal-best ₹1.73 Lakhs after striking a heads-up deal with Swapnil ‘moneydream’ Sawant (runner-up for ₹1.70 Lakhs).

Spartan Poker hosted six UVS events on Day 4 of the June series, all of them featuring a deep-stacked structure. The day`s featured UVS event, the ₹4.5 Lakhs GTD UVS #24 Monster Stack, was championed by the current UVS leaderboard frontrunner Sampanginaidu ‘Megamindd71’ Vijayalakshmi for ₹89,293. Rahul ‘LEd-ZEppELiN’ Kumar Jain placed runner-up for ₹57,072.

Vijayalakshmi bagged his second UVS title last night, bringing his total winnings on Spartan Poker to ₹63.28 Lakhs (₹19.24 Lakhs in site-profits).

The Thursday showstopper, the ₹27,500 entry buy-in Summer Series – 93 Super Highroller registered 136 entries, filling in a glaring ₹6 Lakhs overlay shortfall on its ₹40 Lakhs prize pool guarantee. The Game Changer 2.0 champion Shagun ‘Sogani22’ Jain picked up his second-best career score in the event as he overcame the reg-laden field to win ₹8.40 Lakhs. The Super High Roller win fetched Jain his fifth title of the year, boosting his lifetime online winnings to ₹3.96 Crores (₹1.89 Crores in net profits).

PokerBaazi’s 8 PM flagship, the ₹15 Lakhs GTD The Summit, logged in 263 entries, posting a hefty ₹19.73 Lakhs prize pool (almost a third more than the advertised guarantee). The field whittled down to an epic heads-up showdown between former Full House champion Dhinesh ‘dhineshrocky007’ Kumar and renowned poker coach Abhishek ‘AbhishekRathod’ Rathod. Eventually, Kumar prevailed, winning the title for ₹4.36 Lakhs. He also finished fourth in Spartan Poker’s Monster Stack for ₹80,808, raking in ₹5.17 Lakhs overall. Abhishek Rathod collected ₹3.06 Lakhs for his second-place finish, booking his best finish of the year (across domestic sites).

The 9 PM tourney, the ₹1.5 Lakhs GTD Holdem BOOST DST, saw ‘pendulal’ coming out on top to win ₹54,040 following a three-way deal with ‘Ikka5’ (runner-up for ₹46,260), and ‘rishabjuneja’ (3rd for ₹42,850).

The PokerBaazi app has recently undergone its most significant technical update. The new and improved app was launched in May, and one of the most-awaited featured to be rolled out was the option for deal-making on the FT. The Holdem BOOST was perhaps one of the first few tourneys that saw an FT deal being made on PokerBaazi.

Shobhit ‘AlreadyTaken’ Bhargava was streaming his Thursday night run on his YouTube channel ‘569poker’ and went on to win the ₹1.5 Lakhs GTD Turbo on stream for ₹48,240. You can watch the replay of the stream below.

The ₹5 Crores GTD Deltin Online Poker Tournament (DOPT) is on the home stretch now, with only three more days to go before the curtains are pulled down. The series headliner, the ₹1.5 Crores GTD DOPT Main Event, ran the first of its six starting flights on Thursday. Day 1A registered 250 entries, leaving only 23 players standing at the end of the play. Gagandeep ‘gaganhyd’ Singh (455,687) grabbed the end of Day 1A chip lead, with ‘villan1122’ (318,240) and ‘the049′ (217,779) a distant #2 and #3 in chips.

There are five more flights to go before the tournament finale, i.e., Day 2 on June 13.

The DOPT awarded eight titles on Thursday, and the biggest draw was the ₹30 Lakhs GTD Thursday Feature. The event recorded 558 entries, overlaying ₹2.10 Lakhs. Yohan ‘AllinMaestro’ Patel was the last player standing and won ₹7.05 Lakhs for the outright victory, with Neeraj ‘NEERAJ2828’ Bajaj placing runner-up for ₹4.11 Lakhs.

Yohan Patel has kept busy this year with a litany of big FT finishes, but this was his first flagship title of the year. It also happens to be his fourth cash at the ongoing DOPT series – he placed fifth in the ₹55 Lakhs GTD DOPT Highroller on Sunday for ₹3.32 Lakhs. Patel lapped up ₹7.21 Lakhs last night and presently boasts ₹2.34 Crore in lifetime online winnings (₹50.46 Lakhs in net profits).

Wednesday’s Turbo champion Rising Star Aman ‘karmapoker’ Parakh went on a tear last night, winning two titles along with another 11 ITM finishes, collectively earning 2.18 Lakhs. His big scores were:

The 7:30 PM event unsurprisingly turned out to be a reg-fest and clocked in 136 entries, filling in a massive ₹6 Lakhs overlay shortfall.

The Game Changer 2.0 champion Shagun ‘Sogani22’ Jain overcame the stiff competition to win an impressive ₹8.40 Lakhs payday. The former Grand Mega Suits winner eliminated PokerGuru Ambassador Mithun ‘ThePokeRajaIN’ Mahesh in second place for ₹6.52 Lakhs.
