It was a busy Tuesday as Spartan Poker’s ₹25 Crores GTD IOPC July Edition, PokerBaazi’s IMPS, and Adda52`s APF series kept the action moving briskly. Here is a complete recap of all the action.
Spartan Poker
The IOPC July Edition`s showstopper event, the ₹3 Crores GTD IOPC Main Event – The Crown, added another 387 entries on the second starting flight. The tourney had logged in 515 entries on Day 1A. After 25 ten-minute levels, 49 players advanced to Day 2, taking the Day 2 tally to 110 players.
Anonymous user ‘AkqA’ emerged as the end-of-Day 1B chip leader with 309,958 in chips. After two starting flights, ‘AkqA’ assumes the overall chip leader`s role. PokerGuru Ambassador Gokul ‘Super Kings’ Raj (284,986), and ‘UGOTBLUFF’ (237,256) bagged the next top stacks on Day 1B. Day 1C is scheduled to start at 6 PM today.
The featured tournament on Day 13 of the IOPC series was the ₹35 Lakhs GTD Mega Stack. The ₹3,300 buy-in tourney logged in 1,238 entries, comfortably surpassing its listed guarantee with ₹37.14 Lakhs in the prize pool. After nearly nine hours of play, Avadh ‘cateyes’ Shah seized the title, following a heads-up chop with the first-ever BPT Main Event champion Puneet ‘neo888’ Dua. Shah took home a winner’s paycheque worth ₹5.80 Lakhs,crossing ₹80 Lakhs in lifetime recorded winnings. Dua banked an equally impressive ₹5.45 Lakhs prize for his runner-up finish.
The other primetime tourney, the ₹12 Lakhs GTD IOPC #87, registered 930 entries to generate a prize pool worth ₹13.95 Lakhs. After finishing runner-up in the ₹10 Lakhs GTD Destiny IOPC Edition for ₹1.51 Lakhs on Monday, ‘HerMess’ finally managed to capture their first IOPC title of the series in the ₹12 Lakhs GTD IOPC#87 for ₹2.68 Lakhs. Aman ‘alwaysriver’ Kejriwal came within touching distance of winning his first IOPC title last night, ultimately finishing runner-up for ₹1.68 Lakhs.PokeGuru Ambassador Ankit ‘Shippament’ Wadhawan placed third for ₹1.20 Lakhs.
The ₹10 Lakhs GTD IOPC #88 Destiny IOPC Edition garnered a 520-strong entry field. Once the last hand was dealt, former Millionaire champion Anujkumar ‘aatmaan108’ Kodam was the only player standing and collected the lion’s share of the ₹10.40 Lakhs prize pool worth ₹2.70 Lakhs. He bested the anonymous ‘Hittuuu’ (runner-up for ₹1.64 Lakhs) heads-up. This happens to be Kodam`s second tournament victory in nine days. He had last won Adda52’s AOPS Mega Suits on July 13 for ₹8.43 Lakhs.
Rounding out the IOPC tourneys of the day was the ₹6 Lakhs GTD IOPC #84.Championing the tourney was ‘Sid297’, who collected ₹1.22 Lakhs in prize money after topping 407 entries. Kunal ‘cvc’ Sharma finished runner-up for ₹81,380. The top 39 places got paid out of the ₹6.11 Lakhs prize pool.

PokerBaazi’s Tuesday extravaganza, the ₹15 Lakhs GTD Endeavour, pulled in 421 contenders to post a marginal overlay worth ₹26,500. Following several hours of intense play, ‘Iamfish’ outlasted the competition to win ₹3.02 Lakhs. The runner-up ‘Dwan’ received ₹2.11 Lakhs for their second-place finish. The winning player has ₹11.61 Lakhs worth of winnings on the site,and almost half of them, i.e.,₹5.03 Lakhs,are their profits.

Headlining the action on Day 5 of the APF Series, the ₹20 Lakhs GTD APF The Mint, logged in 525 entries to register an overlay worth ₹1.62 Lakhs. The top 55 runners benefitted from the value on offer. It was the former Full House Finale champion Sanat ‘mehro2511’ Mehrotra who came out on top after beating Sajjan ‘HaiTohHai’ Barnwal (runner-up for ₹2.80 Lakhs) heads-up to win ₹4.80 Lakhs. Mehrotra is one among seven players on our database with over₹2 Crores in winnings this year. His online scorecard reflects almost ₹5 Crores in poker winnings.

PokerStars India’s ₹8 Lakhs GTD Sixth Sense has been consistently falling short of its guarantee, and it added another day in that streak.The ₹3,300 buy-in tourney brought together 221 entries last night, registering a landslide ₹1.37 Lakhs overlay. The top three finishers locked in a deal with Harsh ‘kakorikabab’ Dembla, eventually winning the title and ₹1.08 Lakhs. MTT crusher Srihari ‘bangbang1999’ Bang pocketed the biggest share of the prize pool worth ₹1.20 Lakhs for his runner-up finish, while ‘rudra3220’ finished third for ₹1.04 Lakhs. Dembla has won more than ₹63 Lakhs this year while his overall scorecard reflects ₹1.17 Crores in winnings. This was one of two FT scores for Dembla last night, as he placed fourth in PokerBaazi’s The Endeavour as well for ₹1 Lakh.
The site’s ₹5 Lakhs GTD Super Tuesday recorded 164 entries, falling ₹90,000 short of the break-even mark. The field whittled down to a heads-up between Rajat ‘sharabikebabi’ Sharma and Sandy ‘Ziigmunddd’ Lamba. The duo chopped,and ultimately, Sharma took down the title for ₹90,720. The runner-up Lamba took home ₹85,648. This was Sharma’s second title on the site in the last three days. Last Sunday, he had won the Sunday Highroller for ₹3.14 Lakhs.

The headline tourney of Spartan Poker’s ongoing IOPC July Edition, the IOPC Main Event – The Crown ₹3 Crores GTD, ran its second flight on Tuesday. The ₹11,000 buy-in tourney registered 387 entries, adding to the 515 entries from Day 1A. This makes for a field size of 902 entries and counting with six more flights on tap.
Only 49 players survived the Day 1B onslaught, and leading the lot was ‘AkqA’ (309,958). Hot on the unknown player`s heels was PokerGuru Ambassador Gokul ‘Super Kings’ Raj (284,986), with ‘UGOTBLUFF’ (237,256) bagging the third most massive stack on Day 1B.
Incidentally, both ‘AkQA’ and Raj have bagged more than the Day 1A chip leader ‘HeroCaller’ (266,191).
Vinayak ‘haayegarmi’ Bajaj (186,987), Sandeep Varma ‘effuno’ RS (171,495), former IOPC Main Event champion Anurag ‘Norman Bates’ Srivastava (167,515), and Abhishek ‘PoeticInjustice’ Gubba (163,218) bagged top stacks as well.
Sanat ‘avneed’ Mehrotra who was third in chips at the end Day 1A, bagged another top-10 stack last night worth 159,239 in chips.
Kunal ‘TiltAtma’Patni (142,293), PrabhatKiran ‘Cassandra’ Mukherjea (138,836), Vivek ‘Pokerbatman27’ Rughani (118,389), Vineet ‘The Mentalist’ Kumar (100,387), and Zarvan ‘BolAuntyAuKya’ Tumboli (87,641) were the other notable names advancing through Day 1B.

Running alongside Day 1B of the IOPC Main Event was the Tuesday flagship of the site, the ₹35 Lakhs GTD IOPC Mega Stack. Starting at 8 PM, the tourney clocked in 1,238 entries,collecting a guarantee-smashing ₹37.14 Lakhs prize pool.
After more than eight hours of tournament play, the tournament finally came to a close at 4:37 AM. The former Millionaire winner Avadh ‘cateyes’ Shah, trounced the field and bested the first-ever BPT Main Event champion Puneet ‘neo888’ Dua heads-up, to win his first IOPC title of the series. The duo agreed to a heads-up deal that saw Shah collect a winner’s payday worth ₹5.80 Lakhs, while Dua pocketed₹5.45 Lakhs for his runner-up finish. Incidentally, Shah is a member of the exclusive Millionaire champion`s club and had claimed the title back in August 2018 for ₹25 Lakhs. He presently boasts of ₹82.54 Lakhs in recorded online winnings.

After a long seven and half hours of intense action, it was the online sensation Sanat ‘mehro2511’ Mehrotra who juggernaut his way to the top to win the first-place prize of ₹4.80 Lakhs. Mehrotra not only outlasted the field but, also defeated another online regular Sajjan ‘HaiTohHai’ Barnwal (runner-up for ₹2.80 Lakhs) heads-up.
Notably, Mehrotra is among seven players on our yearly leaderboard with over ₹2 Crores in winnings.

The 10 Lakhs GTD IOPC Edition of the Destiny pulled in 520 entries, surpassing the listed guarantee by ₹40,000. Former Millionaire champion Anujkumar ‘aatmaan108’ Kodam raced past the field to win ₹2.70 Lakhs, even as mystery user ‘Hittuuu’ came in second for ₹1.64 Lakhs.
For someone who holds the distinction of winning PokerBaazi`s flagship MoneyMaker tournament in 2017, this was Kodam`s first IOPC title of the year. Moreover, this was also his first time winning the Destiny title! He presently has ₹1.15 Crores in recorded online winnings, out which ₹50.96 Lakhs he has won on Spartan Poker.
Online regular Sahil ‘ImHighIshove’ Mahboobani, who placed third in the IOPC Mega Stack for ₹3 Lakhs, posting his second FT finish of the day, finished fourth here for ₹68,640.
