It was an action-packed Wednesday with Spartan Poker`s GPS and PokerBaazi`s PMVS steering the action. Here`s a quick recap of all that went down across the major online platforms yesterday!

 

Spartan Poker

Spartan Poker once again offered the biggest guarantees among all the domestic sites. The site played host to another six events in the Grand Poker Series on what was Day 3 of the inaugural series.

The most prominent of them, the GPS Destiny ₹35 Lakhs GTD, registered an overlay of ₹1.90 Lakhs on the back of a field of 662 participants (301 unique, 158 re-entries, and 203 re-buys). Former Millionaire winner, Avadh ‘cateyes’ Shah became the first Destiny winner in the 15th edition of this weekly flagship series after defeating online reg ‘corona virus’ (runner-up for ₹5.60 Lakhs) heads-up. He banked ₹9.10 Lakhs for the win, surpassing ₹50 Lakhs in recorded online winnings.

The Mini version of the tourney, the GPS Destiny Jr ₹5 Lakhs GTD fared better as a turnout of 430 entries (197 unique, 72 re-entries, and 161 re-buys) helped generate a profitable ₹5.45 Lakhs in the prize pool. Site regular ‘SAMWELL TARLY’ championed the tourney to win ₹1.48 Lakhs following a heads-up deal with Sourabh ‘ravenclaw410’ Gehlot, who took home ₹1.27 Lakhs for placing second.

The other marquee tourney to take place on Spartan Poker last night was the Mega Freeze ₹5 Lakhs GTD. A turnout of 158 entries resulted in an overlay worth ₹23,000. In the end, Chetraj ‘chetraj1000’ Mishra came out on top to win ₹1.16 Lakhs.

 

PokerBaazi

The much-awaited PokerBaazi Monthly Value Series (PMVS) hit the ground running yesterday. The 5-day series promises over ₹2 Crores in prize pool guarantees.

The Wednesday flagship PMVS The Pride ₹12 Lakhs GTD logged in 439 entries that accrued ₹13.01 Lakhs in the prize pool. Walking away with the lion`s share was ‘lanumar1963’ for ₹2.65 Lakhs. Ayan ‘interalia_1’ Ray placed runner-up for ₹1.86 Lakhs while PokerGuru Ambassador Ashish ‘OMG_spew’ Munot finished third for ₹1.19 Lakhs.

The PMVS ₹6 Lakhs GTD attracted a 239-entry field, falling a very marginal ₹2,500 short of break-even. After winning the SundaySuperStack last Sunday, Rajat ‘happyfish’ Mahajan snagged his second title of the month in the event along with the top prize worth ₹1.41 Lakhs. Mahajan defeated Dhirendra ‘dhirendra987’ Singh (2nd for ₹99,060) in the heads-up play.

Over at Adda52, the Maverick’s advertised ₹12.5 Lakhs GTD was smashed on the back of a field of 682 entries (341 entries and 341 re-entries). The top 72 places got a piece of the ₹15.52 Lakhs prize pool. ‘jpunterj’ took down the title for a ₹3.88 Lakhs payday. PokerGuru Ambassadors Devvrat ‘glitch_d’ Arya (6th for ₹54,304), and Naresh ‘emperor457’ Veeravalli (7th for ₹42,668) posted FT finishes!

 

PokerStars India

The most prominent tourney to play out at PokerStars India was the Night on Stars. The ₹10 Lakhs GTD event clocked in 356 entries (212 unique entries and 144 re-entries) to leave an overlay of ₹1.10 Lakhs, and the top 55 places got paid. Following a heads-up deal with Debneil ‘ChhotaD0N’ Mukherjee (runner-up for ₹1.46 Lakhs), the banker turned poker pro Kunal ‘iAlwaysHaveit’ Patni improved upon his runner-up performance in the Sixth Sense from Tuesday to win ₹1.76 Lakhs.

The Big Bubble Rush ₹5 Lakhs GTD drew 175 entries (105 unique and 70 re-entries), suffering an overlay of ₹62,500. Taking top honors was Vaibhav ‘vaibsss’ Bhatia, who collected ₹1.19 Lakhs in prize money after a three-way deal with ‘yashos13’ (runner-up for ₹49,483) and ‘yash1805’ (3rd for ₹46,397).

Patni now boasts of ₹1.54 Crores in recorded online earnings!
