We are well past the mid-week stage, and with the weekend in sight, the action on the virtual felts is getting more intense.

The biggest guaranteed tournament on offer last night was Spartan Poker’s Wednesday flagship, The Destiny ₹30 Lakhs GTD. The tournament mustered 609 entries (249 unique, 171 re-entries, and 189 rebuys) to comfortably surpass the advertised guarantee and collect a large ₹30.45 Lakhs prize pool. Shankar ‘ManiacKid’ Singh rose to the top of the field and defeated ‘McFly’ heads-up to walk away with the ₹7.91 Lakhs up top. With the win, Singh has secured his berth in the Destiny 13.0 SnG Finale that takes place on March 22. The latter pocketed ₹4.87 Lakhs for his runner-up finish.

While Destiny is an old crowd favorite, the site’s Spartan Value Series (SVS) also sounded off proceedings yesterday. The 21-event series offers ₹50 Lakhs-plus in prize pool guarantees and is headlined by The Millionaire Lite that promises ₹10 Lakhs to the winner. The multi-flight tournament starts on February 21.

The SVS has a Leaderboard running with prizes worth ₹2 Lakhs on offer, and these include tickets to high-value Spartan Poker events like The Millionaire Legend, Sunday SuperStack, and SSS Millionaire! A total of five SVS events played down to a winner yesterday, and the most prominent among them was the SVS #5 Hi-Fi ₹6 Lakhs GTD. The event registered 478 entries (232 unique, 79 re-entries, and 167 rebuys), making for a ₹7.17 Lakhs prize pool. In the end, PokerGuru Ambassador Vivek ‘KasolHieghts’ Singh ran past Anuj ‘Anuj16101’ Laddhad (runner-up for ₹98,587) heads-up to pocket a ₹1.36 Lakhs payday.

The final showdown took place between Raman ‘ifryu’ Gujral and Harsh ‘100crdream’ Kumar. Gujral eventually came out on top to win ₹2.25 Lakhs with Kumar walking away with ₹1.57 Lakhs for his second-place finish.
