We are now just two days away from closing out the year, and Tuesday witnessed a significant uptick in action over Monday. While some flagships registered overlays, several comfortably sailed through.

PokerStars India’s “Star of Month” – December is also to be decided today in the Finale that will have 100 qualifiers converging at 9 PM tonight!

Here is a quick recap of all that transpired yesterday.

 

Spartan Poker

Offering the biggest prize pool guarantee of the day was the Spartan Poker-hosted ₹17 Lakhs GTD Mega Stack. The ₹3,300 entry buy-in tourney logged in 470 entries to post an overlay of ₹2.90 Lakhs for the site to fill. After almost eight hours of rigorous play, Ashit ‘D. Carwin1’ Sharma came out on top to win ₹3.31 Lakhs. Young Gun and former Millionaire winner, Anujkumar ‘aatmaan108’ Kodam, finished runner-up for ₹2.10 Lakhs.

This is the third time Sharma has won this tourney (second time this year). He also posted a second FT finish yesterday, placing eighth in PokerBaazi’s Endeavour for ₹35,400. In all, he raked in ₹3.67 Lakhs last night, pushing his lifetime tally to ₹1.25 Crores.

The other Tuesday marquee, the ₹7 Lakhs GTD The Race, registered 458 runners to post an overlay of ₹13,000. It was 4.18 AM on the tourney clock by the time Pravin Bahubali2002’ Garle championed the event to win ₹94,661. Garle struck a five-way deal with Shaurya PrivateLimited’ Modi (runner-up for ₹86,271), ‘eightofspades’ (3rd for ₹70,973), ‘matrix081’ (4th for ₹69,307), and Sanchit ‘scofield1210’ Nag (5th for ₹60,845). Garle’s online tally on Spartan Poker has touched ₹13.13 Lakhs after the win.

 

PokerStars India

PokerStars India had two ₹5 Lakhs GTD tourneys on its Tuesday line-up. The ₹2,200 entry buy-in Sixth Sense logged in 212 entries (115 unique and 97 re-entries), overlaying ₹76,000. Sandeep ‘effuno007’ Varma RS was the last player standing in the tourney and won ₹76,265 after striking a three-way deal with ‘Paaniii’ (runner-up for ₹54,489), and PokerGuru Ambassador Rony ‘GoGetters1’ Chowdhury (third for ₹76,708) – who walked away with the biggest slice of the prize money.

Varma added another FT score last night, placing sixth in the Uppercut Mini for ₹19,763, making for total winnings of ₹1 Lakh.

The ₹2,750 entry buy-in Uppercut Mini wrangled in 159 entries, experiencing an overlay shortfall of ₹1.03 Lakhs. The anonymous user ‘ASG 961’ outlasted the competition to win ₹1.08 Lakhs (₹57,851 in prize money and ₹50,157 in bounties), with Young Gun Shardul ‘merci999’ Parthasarathi placing runner-up for ₹49,146 (₹42,739 prize money, ₹6,407 bounties). Parthasarathi’s lifetime MTT earnings have crossed ₹2.48 Crores, bringing him within touching distance of the ₹2.50 Crore-mark in lifetime earnings.

Starting at its usual 10:30 PM slot, the ₹1 Lakhs GTD Bigstack Turbo logged in 65 entries on Tuesday. Swapnil ‘pokpom1’ Patil was the last player standing in the tourney and won ₹30,488. ‘wolfbacki4’ secured a runner-up payday of ₹20,032. The tourney experienced an overlay shortfall of ₹35,000 and the top 11 places benefitted from the value on offer.

PokerStars India`s “Star of the Month” leaderboard promotion has already crossed over to the January race and all ITM finishers in the Sixth Sense and Bigstack Turbo collected TLB points for a place in the Finale.

The 100 qualifiers from the December leaderboard race will be converging at 9 PM tonight for a shot at becoming the “Star of the Month” – December. In addition to the bragging rights of becoming the December champion, there are MTT tickets worth ₹1.15 Lakhs reserved for the winner. The runner-up will collect tourney tickets worth ₹35,000.

Lighting up the Tuesday primetime slot at Adda52 was the site’s ₹15 Lakhs GTD The Mint. The Tuesday flagship brought in 351 entries (174 unique and 177 re-entries) to post an overlay of ₹2.72 Lakhs. It took seven hours and twenty-four minutes of play for Sheetal ‘DADDY5050’ Jain to power her way through the competition to win ₹3.75 Lakhs. This was Jain’s best finish on the site to date and helped improve her overall earnings on the site to ₹21.75 Lakhs (₹32,661 in profits). The former AOPS Super High Roller winner Shashank ‘felter’ Jain placed runner-up for ₹2.27 Lakhs. Jain’s online record has crossed ₹2.39 Crores.

The ₹2.5 Lakhs GTD Voyager had Anuj ‘chocha’ Manocha navigating his way to the top to win ₹66,772 after a heads-up deal with Sagar ‘Fang9872’ Surve (runner-up for ₹54,144). Manocha had FT-ed two tourneys on Monday, and yesterday`s win has sent his online record soaring to ₹48.58 Lakhs. With a turnout of 296 entries, the tourney ended up collecting ₹2.96 Lakhs in the prize pool.

PokerBaazi

PokerBaazi’s Tuesday flagship, The Endeavour, logged in 283 entries, overlying ₹2.10 Lakhs. Outlasting them all was the former Millionaire winner Pranav ‘pranavpoker’ Khandalkar, who added ₹2.65 Lakhs to his bankroll. Pranjal ‘lilmessi’ Gandhi finished runner-up for ₹1.86 Lakhs. Khandalkar’s lifetime MTT record has crossed ₹2.41 Crores, of which ₹1.14 Crores he has accumulated in 2020.

The 9 PM Special ₹2.5 Lakhs GTD Tuesday Turbo registered 102 entries, falling ₹46,000 short of its listed guarantee. ‘Delzoid5’ won the tourney, banking ₹70,375 just as Farooque ‘acefour’ Shaikh finished runner-up for ₹49,275.

The ₹2 Lakhs GTD PBBS #9 Main Event played out its second starting flight on Tuesday amid a starting field of 116 runners. The day’s play ended with 11 players bagging Day 2 stacks. Bagging the end of day chip lead was ‘AnonDegen’ (438,000), with ‘shona281088’ (242,000) and ‘lazygamer007’ (220,000) rounding out the top three stacks from the flight. Taking into account the 120 entries from Day 1A, the tourney has already logged in 236 entries.

The field whittled down to a heads-up showdown between Pranav ‘pranavpoker’ Khandalkar and Pranjal ‘lilmessi’ Gandhi. Khandalkar eventually prevailed to win the title for ₹2.65 Lakhs, while Gandhi placed runner-up for ₹1.86 Lakhs.

Khandalkar’s total MTT winnings currently stand at ₹2.41 Crores, which includes ₹63.02 Lakhs in recorded earnings on PokerBaazi.

PokerStars India’s ₹5 Lakhs GTD Sixth Sense was the first of two Tuesday tourneys awarding TLB points towards the ‘Star of the Month’ – January (Week #1) leaderboard race. Running from 7:30 PM to 1:59 AM, the tourney logged in 212 entrants, overlaying ₹76,000.

Seasoned MTT reg Sandeep ‘effuno007’ Varma RS took down the event for ₹76,265, following a three-way deal with ‘Paaniii’ (runner-up for ₹54,489) and PokerGuru Ambassador Rony ‘GoGetters1’ Chowdhury (3rd for ₹76,708).

Varma was in the hunt for back-to-back titles last night and came close to taking down the Uppercut Mini. He finished sixth for ₹19,763, collecting ₹96,028 for the day. The two deep runs last night boosted Varma`s MTT record to ₹2.17 Crores.
