Thursday delivered a firecracker lineup of flagship tournaments with PokerBaazi’s National Poker Series once again headlining the day`s proceedings.

Shashank Jain was the standout winner of the day. He grabbed the NPS Gold Medal in the ₹1 Crore GTD NPS Highroller, netting a career-best ₹20.31 Lakhs and a seat in the ₹20 Lakhs added Night of Champions SNG. Last week`s NPS PLO Highroller champion Kunal Patni booked a career-best ₹14.05 Lakhs for placing runner-up, climbing up four places to #6 on the annual leaderboard.

The day saw several players booking career-best finishes, including this week`s Sixth Sense winner Bharath Kumar, who topped PokerBaazi’s NPS Thursday Thunder for a career-high ₹9.64 Lakhs and his first NPS Gold Medal.

Karann Dembla got past the formidable Gaurav Sood heads-up to win Adda52`s Godfather for a personal-best ₹6.13 Lakhs.

Kaushik Tibrewal, Anirban D Das, Shagun Jain, Rajat Sharma, Umesh Sharma, Vivek Karwa, Sagar Raj, Suraj N Yadav & Aditya Kesharwani were the other names on the long Thursday winners list.

Spartan Poker`s ₹1 Crore GTD ‘The Millionaire’ kicked off its final edition of June last evening. Starting out at 7 PM, Day 1A logged in 291 participants, and 40 players survived the day`s onslaught. The top two stacks were bagged by former Millionaire champions Saurabh ‘darksider’ Rohila (199,356) & Sriharsha ‘Sygrayem’ Doddapaneni (196,667), with the three-time Destiny winner Ghanshyam ‘Tiger10’ Tripathi (184,416) rounding out the top three names on the survivor’s list.

The Trending Thursday returned with the same ₹23 Lakhs prize pool guarantee as last week and registered 453 entries – 17 entries lesser than its previous run – filling in ₹35,000 in overlays. Kaushik ‘ikigai’ Tibrewal championed the event for a career-best ₹4.61 Lakhs. The user ‘TejuHel’ raked in ₹3.07 Lakhs for their runner-up finish.

Kaushik Tibrewal made another three ITM finishes, collectively earning ₹4.97 Lakhs. The Trending Thursday victory fetched him his third flagship title of the year, boosting his lifetime tally to ₹82.84 Lakhs (₹19 Lakhs in net profits).

The second Thursday marquee, the ₹9 Lakhs GTD Monster Stack, registered 484 entries to collect a ₹9.68 Lakhs prize pool. The June The Millionaire champion Rajat ‘NoPrisoners’ Sharma shipped the event for ₹1.74 Lakhs following a heads-up deal with Young Gun Shardul ‘Faucet Failure’ Parthasarathi (runner-up for ₹1.34 Lakhs).

The National Poker Series has set a tall benchmark for other operators to meet and Day 12 of the series had seven events on the schedule.

Five events awarded medals, and none was as big as the ₹1 Crore GTD NPS#72 Highroller. The cash game reg from New Delhi, Shashank ‘Westworld’ Jain, overcame the reg-laden 755-entry field and pipped the start-of-Day 2 chip leader Kunal ‘VasooliChacha’ Patni heads-up to win the NPS Gold Medal. He bagged a career-best ₹20.31 Lakhs for the win, also becoming the latest player to qualify for the ₹20 Lakhs added Night of Champions SNG. Not just that, the former APT Online India Main Event fourth-place finisher also became the 36th player on our tracked database to breach the ₹1 Crore mark in annual earnings.

He had previously won the NPS PLO Highroller last week for ₹8.02 Lakhs. The deep run has pushed him up to #3 on the NPS podium leaderboard. He cashed in five more events, including an FT score in NPS#75 Sprint, adding ₹14.97 Lakhs in total winnings. These scores helped Patni climb up three places to #6 on the annual leaderboard standings.

The second biggest event of the day, the ₹40 Lakhs GTD NPS#73 Thursday Thunder, drew 696 participants, collecting a whopping ₹52.20 Lakhs prize pool (over 30% more than its advertised guarantee). Thursday’s Sixth Sense winner Bharath ‘hzgod’ Kumar came out on top to win a career-best ₹9.64 Lakhs and his first NPS Gold Medal. ‘InAutumn’ (runner-up for ₹6.77 Lakhs) and Rahul ‘slowroller’ Melwani (3rd for ₹4.37 Lakhs) claimed the Silver and Bronze Medal`s respectively.

Bharath Kumar was one of four players cashing seven figures on Thursday, booking a cumulative ₹10.07 Lakhs overall, counting his runner-up finish in PokerStars India’s Battle Royale for ₹43,673.

The ₹3 Crores GTD NPS Main Event will be making its final descent on Sunday, and in the lead-up to the finale, the event added 534 entries on Flight 1D. After the stipulated 27 levels of play, 53 survivors packed their bags for Day 2. The ₹5,500 entry buy-in Main Event has so far clocked in 2,303 entries across its first four starting flights (Flight 1A – 634, Flight 1B – 623, Flight 1C – 512, and Flight 1D – 534) and has three more flights to go. Raghav ‘maddytilt’ Madan (410,000), Kanav ‘sokopa’ Parwal (367,000), and ‘Pocket__aces’ (350,000) headlined the advancing field.

The ₹550 entry buy-in ₹1 Crore GTD Golden Rush completed Flight 1L last night, with 1,006 entries joining the fast-expanding field. After 27 levels of play, 92 hopefuls made it through to Day 2, and PokerBaazi users ‘SuperClever’ (525,000), ‘jjrock420’ (508,000), and Devendra ‘dk2yadav’ Yadav (429,000) topped the day-end chip counts. The event needs a whopping 20,000 entries to break even and has recorded 14,243 entries with three more flights on tap.

The Game Changer 2.0 champion Shagun ‘sogani22’ Jain outlasted the 900-entry field in the ₹6 Lakhs GTD NPS#75 Sprint to collect a site-best ₹2.36 Lakhs, crossing ₹4 Crores in lifetime winnings.

Anirban ‘nocluewho’ D Das kept his hot run going by taking down the title for ₹2.29 Lakhs. Young Gun Arsh ‘BiggggTymeR’ Grover placed second for ₹1.77 Lakhs.

Adda52 has been feeling the overlay pinch ever since the NPS started, and yesterday again, the ₹25 Lakhs GTD Godfather fell a good ₹1.55 Lakhs short of its listed guarantee as 469 runners joined the action. Karann ‘ICMsucks’ Dembla scored a thumping victory, winning a career-best ₹6.13 Lakhs after beating one of the best MTT players in the country, Young Gun Gaurav ‘gauravarod’ Sood (runner-up for ₹3.63 Lakhs) heads-up.

The ₹1.10 Crore GTD Nano Poker Series (NPS) is the other NPS series currently underway. The only difference is that it’s keeping the low to mid-stakes players busy. The cornerstone of the series, the ₹25 lakhs GTD Nano Main Event, played out the first of five starting flights on Thursday. Day 1A recorded 195 entries, and only 26 among them made the cut for Day 2. ‘faizal1506’ (318,412), ‘SammyBulldog’ (271,291), and Sanish ‘sanish21’ Chhabra (197,327) carried forward the top stacks.

The three-day-long ₹1 Crore GTD NPS Highroller finally played down to a champion last night. The well-known poker reg from New Delhi, Shashank ‘Westworld’ Jain, outlasted the 84 survivors on Day 2 to collect a career-best ₹20.31 Lakhs and his first NPS Gold Medal. The Flight 1A chip leader Kunal ‘VasooliChacha’ Patni could not go the distance and finished runner-up for ₹14.05 Lakhs.

Shashank Jain is now the fifth player to have booked his seat at the ‘NPS Night of Champions’ scheduled for July 3. A high roller specialist, Shashank Jain, had previously won the PPL High Roller title in 2019. The recent Adda52 Millions runner-up finisher now has ₹3.42 Crores in recorded online winnings.

The ₹16,500 entry buy-in event logged in 755 entries (Flight 1A – 367 and Flights 1B – 388) across two starting flights, generating a whopping ₹1.13 Crores prize pool. Eighty-four survivors (Flight 1A – 40 and Flight 1B – 44) made it through to Day 2 that commenced at 7:30 PM.

Aditya ‘gangajal’ Sushant bubbled the final table in ninth place for ₹2.12 Lakhs.

The former Adda52 team pro, Kunal Patni, had booked his seat in the ‘NPS Night of the Champions’ after winning the NPS PLO HighRoller on June 19. He came incredibly close to becoming the first player to win two NPS Gold Medals last night. Patni also final-tabled the NPS#75 Sprint and cash out in four more events, raking in ₹14.97 Lakhs overall.

Kunal Patni has jumped up three places to #6 on the annual leaderboard and has also moved up to #3 on the ₹35 Lakhs GTD NPS Leaderboard with 8,170 points, dislodging ‘BigFishh’ (7,890 points), and behind TLB crusher Bhanu Prakash KC (9,270 points) and Vinay Rajpal (9,006 points). Patni also topped the NPS Daily Leaderboard race with 1,846 points, banking an additional ₹75,000.

He added another ₹33,000 to his bankroll by placing third on the NPS Daily Leaderboard behind Kunal Patni and Kritagya Sharma.

The final June edition of Spartan Poker’s The Millionaire commenced proceedings yesterday. Day 1A, the first of the tourney’s five starting flights, drew 291 entries – the lowest start for the flagship tourney among all the June editions. Only 40 could bag stacks for Day 2, and leading the group was the former SSS Millionaire champion, former IIT-ian, Saurabh ‘darksider’ Rohila (199,356). MTT phenom Sriharsha ‘Sygrayem’ Doddapaneni (196,667) finished only a few chips behind Rohila. At the same time, the Two of a Kind & three-time Destiny champion Ghanshyam ‘Tiger10’ Tripathi (184,416) rounded out the top three from the flight.
