As per the usual trend, Spartan Poker played host to the biggest guaranteed flagships last night with its Destiny ₹40 Lakhs GTD bringing together a massive field of 945 entries (383 unique entries, 209 re-entries, and 353 re-buys). Shashank Jain from New Delhi is one player who has been in spectacular form, and last night he took down his third flagship title this week. Jain defeated ‘PokerStar090’ heads-up to champion the Destiny, adding ₹11.86 Lakhs to his tally along with booking his berth for the Destiny SnG Finale that has ₹10 Lakhs in Las Vegas packages up for grabs. This score has taken Jain’s April MTT tally over ₹30 Lakhs!

The star attraction on PokerBaazi was The Pride ₹10 Lakhs GTD that generated a prize pool worth ₹14.19 Lakhs on the back of 473 participants (270 unique and 203 re-entries). Once all was done and dusted, Jaydeep ‘JDBhaiya’ Dawer came out on top to collect the top prize worth ₹2.85 Lakhs and did well to get past PokerGuru Ambassador’s Ashish ‘rocky3705’ Ahuja (runner-up for ₹2 Lakhs), Gokul ‘Nygma’ Raj (3rd for ₹1.29 Lakhs) and Ankit ‘d00mtr00p3r’ Wadhawan (4th for ₹95,070) on the final table!

Adda52’s Maverick ₹10 Lakhs GTD had a fantastic outing as well, registering 696 entries (360 unique entrants and 336 re-entries) to smash the advertised guarantee to smithereens. The top 72 places shared the ₹15.83 Lakhs prize pool. Sanat ‘mehro2511’ Mehrotra walked away with the lion’s share worth ₹3.64 Lakhs, relegating the more experienced Dhaval ‘dirtyzoso’ Mudgal to a second-place finish worth ₹2.10 Lakhs in prize money.

Over at PokerStars India, the Wednesday headliner, Night on Stars ₹10 Lakhs GTD, attracted 419 entries (224 unique and 195 re-entries), generating a profitable ₹10.47 Lakhs prize pool. Well-known online reg Siddharth ‘Siddonuts’ Pandey shipped the tournament for ₹1.55 Lakhs, following a heads-up deal with Avneesh ‘IamAM09’ Munjal who walked home with 10% more winnings worth ₹1.71 Lakhs. Munjal is another player basking in the glory of banking big scores during the lockdown. He had earlier this month placed runner-up in Adda52’s AOPS ME Finale for a career-best ₹28.28 Lakhs.

One player who clearly stands out from the rest for his blistering Wednesday run is PokerGuru Ambassador Ashish Ahuja. One of the most consistent players on the circuit today, Ahuja posted an impressive five FT finishes yesterday that included an incredible two titles making for a combined ₹4.29 Lakhs in winnings! He championed Adda52’s Hexagram for ₹84,750, shortly after making it in the top 5 at Spartan Poker’s 5FOR5 – 50K to Top-5 GTD for ₹50,000. His other deep runs include from last night include:

  • Runner up finish in PokerBaazi’s The Pride ₹10 Lakhs GTD for ₹2 Lakhs
  • 3rd place finish in Spartan Poker`s Destiny Junior ₹6 Lakhs GTD for ₹59,850
  • 5th place finish in PokerBaazi`s Pride Mini ₹5 Lakhs GTD for ₹35,120

And how can our Daily Majors report ever be complete without mention of Anant Purohit. The online phenom added yet another title to his tally last night, this time winning the Ultimate PLO title on Spartan Poker for ₹66,863. Purohit is steadily inching towards ₹4.5 Crores in online winnings!
