Another hectic Thursday grind is over, with most of the flagships crushing their respective guarantees. Top MTT pros Shashank Jain, Sumit Sapra, and PokerGuru Ambassador Vivek Singh, all picked up a title each yesterday. Here is a recap of all the action!
Spartan Poker
The biggest guarantee tourney to play out on Spartan Poker was the ₹20 Lakhs GTD Ultron, which logged in 601 entries to collect a guarantee-crushing ₹24.04 Lakhs prize pool. The heads-up clash for the title took place between Sumit ‘Sands Myth’ Sapra (ranked #7 on the monthly leaderboard) and Wednesday’s Destiny champion ‘icantwin.’ Sapra eventually came on top and won ₹4.66 Lakhs, while the latter settled for a ₹2.95 Lakhs payday.
The ₹6 Lakhs GTD Monster Stack crushed its posted guarantee on the back of a field of 417 entries, and the top 39 places took a bite out of the ₹8.34 Lakhs prize pool. A mystery player ‘Hellblazer’ championed the event for ₹1.35 Lakhs following a three-way deal with ‘Mr vishnani’ (2nd for ₹1.16 Lakhs) and ‘corona virus’ (3rd for ₹1.07 Lakhs).
PokerBaazi
The Thursday flagship at PokerBaazi, the ₹15 Lakhs GTD The Summit, was taken down by an anonymous player ‘saranraj1987,’ who defeated Vikranth ‘borntrouble’ Varma (runner-up for ₹3.31 Lakhs) heads-up to win ₹4.72 Lakhs. The event logged in 285 entries, and the top 36 places got a piece of the ₹21.38 Lakhs prize pool.
The ₹5 Lakhs GTD Thursday MonsterStack found a champion in ‘blonde,’ who topped 217 challengers and took home ₹1.28 Lakhs in cash prize.
Adda52
Adda52’s Thursday headliner, the ₹30 Lakhs GTD AOPS Super Game, clocked in 277 entries, with each of them ponying up the ₹15,000 buy-in to help collect a guarantee-crushing ₹37.39 Lakhs. Once the last hand was dealt, it was site regular ‘pokraj’ who had all the chips in play and walked away with the title and the ₹9.18 Lakhs top prize.
Harshit ‘Hashstack’ Chopra finished runner-up for ₹6.63 Lakhs.
It was a bumper Thursday on Adda52 as the site had not one but two ₹30 Lakhs GTD tourneys on the schedule. The site`s Thursday mainstay, the ₹30 Lakhs GTD AOPS Godfather, recorded 662 entries to accumulate ₹33.10 Lakhs in the prize pool. After almost nine hours of intense action, the gold went to high stakes crusher Shashank ‘felter’ Jain, who won ₹7.61 Lakhs. The New Delhi-based poker pro defeated Puneet ‘j4jolly’ Mishra (runner-up for ₹4.39 Lakhs) heads-up to win the title. This was Jain’s second AOPS title of the series, as he had won the AOPS Super High Roller for a career-best ₹13.90 Lakhs on June 12. The PPL High Roller champion had finished third in last week’s AOPS Godfather for ₹3.28 Lakhs. Jain’s recorded online scorecard now stands tall at ₹1.7 Crores.
Meanwhile, the site’s ₹1 Crore GTD AOPS Full House played out the first of its six starting flights on Thursday. Day 1A brought in 262 entries, and only 28 players made it across to Day 2. The first player ever to win consecutive Destiny titles on Spartan Poker, Siddhanth ‘Sidstack’ Kripalani bagged the most massive stack of 278,916.
PokerStars India
The featured tourney at PokerStars India was the ₹15 Lakhs GTD Highroller. The event registered a turnout of 219 entries to avoid an overlay. PokerGuru Ambassador Vivek ‘Mystic Peaks’ Singh traversed the vast field to win the title and ₹3.01 Lakhs prize money after defeating ‘Corpo08’ (runner-up for ₹2.21 Lakhs) heads-up.
The other big-ticket tourney on the site, the ₹5 Lakhs GTD Battle Royale Mini, registered 215 entries. Topping them all was Sandy ‘Ziigmunddd’ Lamba, who earned a paycheck of ₹1.38 Lakhs after besting ‘chittu10’ (runner-up for ₹43,248) heads-up!

Bagging the most massive stack on Day 1A was Siddhanth ‘Sidstack’ Kripalani (278,916). The Mumbai-based player holds the distinction of being the first one to have won consecutive Destiny titles on Spartan Poker.
‘minxter59’ (223,967) and ‘girish_iimc’ (209,899) bagged the next top stacks on Day 1A.
