Thursday saw the big guns dominating the MTT action as we move towards what looks like an action-packed weekend with both PokerStars India’s Winter Series and Adda52’s Nano Poker Series set to wrap up their respective runs.

The Game Changer 3.0 champion Siddhanth Kripalani emerged as Thursday’s top scorer with over ₹7.64 Lakhs in collective earnings. He cashed in four events, most notably winning Spartan Poker`s Trending Thursday for the second time for ₹4.93 Lakhs. Amit Dhall placed runner-up for ₹3.13 Lakhs.

Young Gun Gaurav Sood has been topping the annual charts for two years straight, and he is going ALL OUT to complete the hat-trick. The 26-year-old poker phenom had his best winning day yet in the New Year with four ITM finishes worth ₹7.50 Lakhs in total earnings. His biggest score came from winning PokerBaazi`s The Summit for the fourth time yesterday for ₹5.27 Lakhs. Siddharth ‘GangnamGangi’ Gangwar placed runner-up for ₹3.70 Lakhs.

Aditya Singh took down PokerStars India’s Winter Series-18 Highroller for ₹2.80 Lakhs. PokerGuru Ambassador Mithun Mahesh placed runner-up for ₹2.12 Lakhs.

Sandeep Singh Kohli came out on top in PokerBaazi’s SPRINT to win ₹1.86 Lakhs, with Himanshu ‘pokerbrat7’ Arora collecting ₹1.30 Lakhs in second place.

Rising Star Aman Parakh championed Adda52’s Monster Turbo 5L for ₹1.66 Lakhs after beating Ayush Garg (2nd for ₹96,255) in the heads-up play.

The former IOPC – The Millionaire champion Anurag Srivastava shipped PokerStars India’s Winter Series-20 Big Bubble Rush for ₹1.22 Lakhs, defeating Young Gun Anuj Yadav (2nd for ₹1.12 Lakhs) heads-up. Srivastava’s Thursday winnings stood at ₹1.69 Lakhs, while Yadav lapped up at least ₹1.66 Lakhs.

Pawan Kumar, Vivek Pal, Mohak Kapoor, Aditya Pandita, Gopal Bajaj, Sankalp Marwah, Sumit Pal, Shivkesh Meena, and Ashish Yadav won the other marquees.

Spartan Poker is gearing up to host the 12th edition of the IOPC that`s now less than a week away! The Thursday turnouts were encouraging as the primetime Trending Thursday cracked open its ₹22 Lakhs guarantee with 506 hopefuls collecting a ₹25.30 Lakhs prize pool. Only 47 players earned a share of the spoils. The Game Changer 3.0 champion, Young Gun Siddhanth ‘PluRibu$’ Kripalani, was the last player standing and won the title for ₹4.93 Lakhs. Amit ‘dhallamit’ Dhall came second for ₹3.13 Lakhs.

Young Guns Neel ‘Worm33’ Joshi (3rd for ₹2.35 Lakhs) and Gaurav ‘mozzie17’ Sood (4th for ₹1.90 Lakhs), Brijesh ‘Sanu15’ Rao (5th for ₹1.50 Lakhs), Akshat ‘doubledown’ Sharma (6th for ₹1.14 Lakhs) and Karan ‘Junior-KK’ Kapur (8th for ₹61,732) also FT-ed the event.

Last night`s victory was Siddhanth Kripalani`s second time winning the Trending Thursday! It also brought him his first title of 2022. He posted four ITM finishes, collectively banking ₹7.64 Lakhs.

The ₹5.50 Lakhs GTD Deepstack recorded a 778-entry field, collecting ₹7.78 Lakhs in the prize pool. The 9.30 PM event went down the wire at 4.41 AM following a heads-up deal. The mystery player ‘Pokemon11’ won the event for ₹1.28 Lakhs, and Archit ‘Archit789’ Saraogi placed runner-up for ₹1.17 Lakhs.

PokerBaazi’s Thursday headliner, ₹15 Lakhs GTD The Summit, wrangled in 318 entries, overshooting the advertised guarantee over 50%, and the top 36 places got a share from the ₹23.85 Lakhs prize pool. The winningest player on our tracked database, Young Gun Gaurav ‘gaug17’ Sood, won The Summit for an impressive fourth time yesterday, banking ₹5.27 Lakhs. Siddharth ‘GangnamGangi’ Gangwar came second for ₹3.70 Lakhs, posting his fourth runner-up finish this year.

The ₹11 Lakhs GTD Winter Series-18 Highroller was the featured event on Day 3 of the series and logged a 205-entry field, collecting ₹14.35 Lakhs in the prize pool. Aditya ‘ukid767’ Singh walked away with the title after almost eight hours of gameplay, winning ₹2.80 Lakhs and his first recorded win in nearly two months. One of the top-ranked players of 2021, PokerGuru Ambassador Mithun ‘ThePokeRajaIN’ Mahesh, placed runner-up for ₹2.12 Lakhs.

Day 4 of the Nano Poker Series (NPS) saw seven events playing down to a close while the Nano Main Event completed the Day 1B flight.

Day 1B of the ₹25 Lakhs GTD Nano Main Event brought in 225 entries, and after 29 eight-minute levels of play, only 26 players were left standing. Rishab ‘rish1994’ Malik (320,893), ‘dstar’ (258,803), Aayush ‘Aayusharya’ Arya (228,434), ‘Rajput451‘ (216,711), and Guruprasad ‘guruprasad_gupta’ Gupta (201,997) headlined the day-end chip counts.

The ₹1,650 buy-in NPS Main Event has registered 459 entries across the first two starting flights (Day 1A – 234 and Day 1B – 225). There are another five starting flights still to go before the Day 2 finale on Sunday.
