With a nation-wide lockdown in place, it’s a busy season for online sites! It was another hectic Wednesday for the operators with regs and recreationals alike flooding the virtual felts.

Headlining the Wednesday scores for the second week running was Siddhanth ‘sidstack’ Kripalani. It was precisely a week ago that Kripalani won The Destiny on Spartan Poker, and he went two-for-two yesterday! On April 1, Kripalani had championed a 1,082-player field in Spartan Poker’s The Destiny ₹45 Lakhs GTD, winning ₹13.52 Lakhs.

The online crusher has been on a breakout run ever since, winning the PMVS #24 Main Event SuperStack ₹40 Lakhs GTD just a few days later for ₹8.73 Lakhs. This latest win has taken his monthly winnings well north of ₹30 Lakhs. The latest Destiny once again smashed its guarantee with 989 entries (405 unique, 223 re-entries and 361 rebuys) generating ₹49.45 Lakhs in prize money. Kripalani squared off with Vikaash ‘viks82’ Shah heads-up and helped himself to a hefty ₹12.36 Lakhs paycheque after winning the title. Shah took home ₹7.41 Lakhs for finishing runner-up.

The mini-version of the tournament – Destiny Junior ₹6 Lakhs GTD – attracted 780 entries (310 unique, 109 re-entries, and 361 rebuys). The tourney paid out 60 places from a prize pool of ₹7.72 Lakhs. Abhishek ‘MambaMentality’ Goindi took up the podium and the ₹1.67 Lakhs up top after sending his heads-up rival ‘RK0503’ to the rail in second place. The latter earned a ₹1.25 Lakhs payday.

Meanwhile, Uttam Kumar chinunew’ Sinha raced to the top of a field of 214 entries in the Mega Freeze ₹6.5 Lakhs GTD and took home ₹1.15 Lakhs and striking a heads-up deal with ‘PokerStar090’ (runner-up for ₹1.14 Lakhs).

The PokerBaazi’s run of Wednesday tourneys was dominated by The Pride ₹10 Lakhs GTD, where a field of 491 entries (262 unique and 229 re-entries) meant that the tournament generated a profitable ₹14.73 Lakhs prize pool. Two regs, former Millionaire champion Manoj ‘killbill’ Pentakota and Priyank ‘Piko1432’ Kothari locked horns over the title. Pentakota proved triumphant and collected the 2.86 Lakhs first-place cash prize, with Kothari pocketing a runner-up payout amounting to ₹2 Lakhs. PokerGuru Ambassador Ashish ‘rocky3705’ Ahuja was another prominent player in contention to win the title, and he finished fourth for ₹95,450.

The other marquee tournament on PokerBaazi, the Pride Mini ₹5 Lakhs GTD, booked an overlay of ₹26,000 on the back of a field of 237 entries (138 unique and 99 re-entries). Chiraag ‘Versutus’ Patel was the last player standing in the tourney and won ₹1.18 Lakhs after defeating ‘victorrutsa123’ (2nd for ₹82,550) heads-up.

Another pro who has been crushing it these last two days is Nishant ‘dojingbullets’ Sharma. The Mumbai-based pro has been putting in a lot of volume in online MTT`s lately, and the results are there to see. Sharma was simply unstoppable on Tuesday as he won an incredible three flagship tourneys across three different platforms, banking well north of a Million in the process. Proving that the hot run was no flash in the pan, Sharma went on add title number 4 to this week`s tally by taking down Adda52’s AOPS Maverick ₹15 Lakhs GTD last night. Racing past 956 contenders (467 unique and 489 re-entries) that included his final opponent Aman ‘zontory’ Bhadu (runner-up for ₹2.82 Lakhs), Sharma came out on top to add an impressive ₹4.80 Lakhs to his bankroll!

Adda52 has introduced a new tournament, the Falcon, and will be donating its total rake amounting to at least ₹2.5 Lakhs for COVID-19 relief measures. Last night, the AOPS Falcon ₹5 Lakhs GTD logged in 229 entries that included 127 unique players and 10 re-entries. The below-average turnout resulted in an overlay of ₹42,000, and it was ‘jimmyadams,’ who won the title and the ₹1.51 Lakhs cash prize that came with it.

Over at PokerStars India, Sushant ‘Sush2209’ Singh outlasted a 493-entry field (281 unique and 212 re-entries) to win the Micro Series-24 [Night on Stars] ₹8 Lakhs GTD for ₹1.75 Lakhs. Singh had a formidable heads-up opponent in Young Gun Anuj ‘brockLesnar95’ Yadav, but the latter eventually conceded to a runner-up finish worth ₹1.28 Lakhs in prize money. The tournament smashed past its advertised guarantee to collect a ₹9.86 Lakhs prize pool.

Harsh ‘Kakori kababDembla was the other prominent winner on PokerStars India yesterday as he trounced a field of 180 entries (88 unique and 92 re-entries) to win the Big Bubble Rush ₹5 Lakhs GTD for ₹1.13 Lakhs.
