The MTT action, as usual, was relatively slow on Monday as all the day’s flagships got hit by the overlay avalanche. Here is the complete recap of the day`s highlights.

After the ₹35 Lakhs GTD Big Deal last week, Spartan Poker ran the ₹9 Lakhs GTD ReCharge yesterday. The ₹2,200 entry buy-in event, part of the Daily Poker Marathon, ran from 8 PM to 3:36 AM with a starting field of 404 entries translating into an overlay worth ₹92,000. The mystery user ‘nirmal512’ shipped the tourney, collecting their best-recorded score on Spartan Poker worth ₹1.80 Lakhs. Vivekk ‘MI7’ Dube finished runner-up for ₹1.20 Lakhs. Dube now has ₹1.55 Crores in lifetime online winnings.

The other Monday marquee, the ₹4.5 Lakhs GTD The Flash, wrangled in 400 entries, booking an overlay of ₹50,000 for the site to fill. Varun ‘slim charles’ Singh won the title for ₹84,986 after striking a heads-up deal with Harpreet ‘mr.wayne’ Gandhi (runner-up for ₹65,224).

PokerStars India’s ₹5 Lakhs GTD Battle Royale locked in 159 entries on Monday, overlaying ₹1.02 Lakhs. The #3 ranked player of 2020, PokerGuru Ambassador Ashish ‘Spewushhhiiiii’ Ahuja, championed the event for the second time in his career for ₹1.10 Lakhs (₹54,195 in prize money, ₹55,625 in bounties). Partho ‘SpidermanIndia’ Datta came in second for ₹59,820 (₹54,195 in prize money, ₹5,625 in bounties).

Ahuja had won the Battle Royale the first time in November last year for ₹1.09 Lakhs. The ₹1.5 Lakhs GTD Ultrasonic saw ‘ratishharsha1’ navigating their way to the top to win ₹31,277 (includes ₹17,938 in bounties), after besting site-crusher ‘cardshark6191’ (runner-up for ₹19,827) (includes ₹6,488 in bounties) in heads-up play.

PokerBaazi’s Monday extravaganza, the ₹7.5 Lakhs GTD The Big Show, registered 252 entries, filling in ₹1.20 Lakhs in overlays. Friday’s Holdem Boost winner Akshat ‘Badger69’ Verma was the last player standing and won a personal-best ₹1.76 Lakhs. Siddharth ‘siddchat’ Chaturvedi finished runner-up for ₹1.24 Lakhs. Verma`s earnings record on PokerBaazi has touched ₹3.77 Lakhs (₹2.86 Lakhs in net profits) after the Monday night score.

₹6,480 in overlays. The mystery reg ‘ckps86’ outlasted the competition to win the ₹1.96 Lakhs up-top while Attman ‘att1992’ Pradipbhai Velani settled for a runner-up payout worth ₹1.16 Lakhs.

The Voyager champion posted a third-place finish in the Iron Man as well for ₹80,000, raking in over ₹1.50 Lakhs from his Monday night grind.
