With Spartan Poker’s IOPC, Adda52’s APF, and PokerBaazi’s IMPS now done and dusted, online action has literally plummeted, and the contrast over Sunday was glaring. Widening the gap were technical issues on Adda52 that caused all Monday tournaments to be canceled. Siddharth Pandey was clearly the star of the day as he won not one but two marquee tourneys while finishing runner-up in another smaller event, raking in over ₹3.70 Lakhs. Here is the complete recap.
Spartan Poker
With the IOPC July edition now in the books, Spartan Poker returned to its regularly scheduled events from Monday. Headlining the roster was the ₹12 Lakhs GTD Recharge that locked in 599 entries, just one entry short of break-even. Mystery user ‘Sid297’ raced past the field to claim the title and top prize of ₹2.32 Lakhs, just as ‘Mervinn’ came in second for ₹1.47 Lakhs.
The other big-ticket tourney on Spartan Poker was the ₹6 Lakhs GTD The Flash. Attracting 622 entrants, the site had to fill in an overlay of ₹22,000. Site regular ‘Armitrage’ shipped the event for ₹1.20 Lakhs, following a heads-up battle with ‘princepokker’ (runner-up for ₹75,884).
PokerBaazi
PokerBaazi’s ₹10 Lakhs GTD The Bout wrangled in 420 contenders and surpassed its listed guarantee by ₹58,000. Siddharth ‘Siddonuts’ Pandey championed the event and banked a ₹2.13 Lakhs winner’s payout, after besting Dinesh ‘htc170209’ Kukreja in the heads-up. Kukreja took home ₹1.49 Lakhs for his runner-up finish. Pandey also finished runner-up in PokerBaazi’s ₹1 Lakh GTD PLO Boost Monster for ₹21,878 to cross ₹2.50 Crores in recorded winnings.
The Game Changer 3.0 champion Siddhanth ‘ender’ Kripalani deserves special mention for not only finishing third in The Bout for ₹95,810 but also for final tabling Spartan Poker’s ReCharge, placing ninth for ₹22,920. Kripalani is presently ranked #5 on the monthly leaderboard with ₹48.73 Lakhs in winnings.
PokerStars India
PokerStars India’s misfortune with overlays continued as the site’s Monday flagship tournament, the ₹7 Lakhs GTD Battle Royale, fell short by ₹60,000 after registering 256 entries. Siddharth ‘siddonuts’ Pandey claimed his second title of the night, winning₹1.39 Lakhs following a three-way deal with ‘Monikgowda123’ (runner-up for ₹72,761) and ‘mr.bhatia’ (3rd for ₹68,489). With this win, Pandey’s cumulative winnings on Monday reached ₹3.73 Lakhs.
Adda52
Adda52 has been facing technical issues for quite some time now. The site’s Adda52 Online Poker Series (AOPS) was temporarily derailed due to the same problem, and last night, the issues emerged again. A message announcing the technical difficulties was shared on Facebook.
