It was an eventful Wednesday with three domestic series’ dominating the action, namely, Adda52’s AOPS, PokerBaazi’s Grinders Series, and PokerStars India’s Micro KO series. However, the biggest guaranteed tournament from across all the platforms took place at Spartan Poker. Here`s a quick recap of all the action.
Spartan Poker
On Wednesday, the biggest guaranteed tourney across all domestic platforms was the ₹30 Lakhs GTD Destiny. Logging in 614 entries, the ₹5,500 buy-in event framed a guarantee-bursting ₹30.70 Lakhs prize pool. Climbing his way to the top of the field was PokerGuru Ambassador Vivek ‘KasolHieghts’ Singh, who defeated ‘Wazza92’ (runner-up for ₹4.91 Lakhs) heads-up to win the title for a personal-best ₹7.98 Lakhs. Singh`s online resume boasts of over ₹3.33 Crores in recorded winnings and this win helped eclipse the previous score ₹6.20 Lakhs that he had won in the Sunday SuperStack in October 2018.
Spartan Poker’s brand-new series, the Freezeout Master Series (FMS), kicks off today. The four-day series will host five freezeout tourneys daily, promising over ₹1 Crore in prize pool guarantees across all 20 events.
PokerBaazi
PokerBaazi’s ₹10 Lakhs GTD The Pride registered 342 entries to collect ₹10.26 Lakhs in the prize pool. The heads-up play took place between two well-known regs Sagar ‘sagarpupul’ Choudhury and Sahil ‘ImHighIshove’ Mahboobani (2nd for ₹1.51 Lakhs), with the former eventually coming out on top to win ₹2.15 Lakhs. Chowdhury has over ₹3.32 Crore in recorded online winnings and is ranked 5th on the June leaderboard. He also ranks 35th on the 2020 leaderboard with ₹94.92 Lakhs in online scores.
