It was a dull Wednesday, with most of the flagship tourneys having to fill in sizable overlays. PokerGuru Ambassadors had another fantastic day with the team booking multiple deep runs between them. The headliner from the team was Ashish Munot, who added another prestigious title to his tally by becoming PokerStars India`s “Star of the Month” – November. He overcame the 100 qualifiers in the Finale last night to win ₹1.15 Lakhs in MTT tickets and a PokerStars India goodie bag. The runner-up, TLB crusher Neeraj Kumar received ₹35,000 in MTT tickets.
The former PPL MoneyMaker champion, Sandeep Singh, was the day’s biggest winner as he took down the ₹27 Lakhs GTD Destiny on Spartan Poker for ₹7.02 Lakhs.
Here’s a complete recap of the Wednesday action!
Spartan Poker
Offering the biggest prize pool guarantee on Wednesday was Spartan Poker’s ₹27 Lakhs GTD Destiny. The signature Wednesday flagship logged in 522 entries, overlaying ₹90,000. Sandeep ‘SandeeSingh’ Singh navigated his way to the top to score a site-best ₹7.02 Lakhs payday and a seat in the Destiny 17.0 SnG Finale. PokerGuru Ambassador Parikshit ‘zapdos1311’ Dhall finished runner-up for ₹4.32 Lakhs.
Singh happens to be a former PokerBaazi PPL MoneyMaker champion who had won the marquee title in March for ₹18.30 Lakhs – his career-best score to date. The Destiny win is Singh’s second title victory on Spartan Poker in the last six days – he had shipped the Monster Stack on the site on November 26 for ₹67,208. Last night`s score has boosted his lifetime earnings to ₹1.15 Crores.
The ₹2.75 Lakhs GTD Mega Freeze brought in 83 hopefuls to register an overlay of ₹26,000.
