It`s been an eventful month for MTT players, and there was no let-up in action yesterday, with most of the day`s flagships registering encouraging turnouts. PokerStars India`s Winter Series filled in an exciting Day 2 lineup of tournaments.
The former The Millionaire Lite champion Sreekanth Narayan was the day’s top scorer and won Spartan Poker’s Destiny for ₹7.23 Lakhs along with a seat on the ₹10 Lakhs added Destiny 22.0 SnG Finale. Well-known pro Raghav Bansal stood second for ₹4.45 Lakhs.
Prabhat Paliya championed Adda52’s Maverick for ₹3.71 Lakhs after striking a heads-up deal with ‘ajitesh’ (2nd for ₹3.28 Lakhs).
Improving upon his runner-up finish in The Endeavour the day before, PokerGuru Ambassador Ankit Wadhawan took down PokerBaazi’s The Pride for the second time for ₹3.47 Lakhs. Gaurav Bhandari came second for ₹2.43 Lakhs.
Kanav Parwal came out on top in Spartan Poker`s Wednesday Vibes to win ₹1.17 Lakhs following a three-way deal with Vinay B (2nd for ₹1.15 Lakhs) and Atishay Samuel (3rd for ₹98,230). Parwal placed third in PokerBaazi’s The Pride for ₹1.56 Lakhs and even shipped the IOPC Mega Satellite – Featured Events, rounding up over ₹4.49 Lakhs in total value.
Debneil Mukherjee took down PokerStars India’s Winter Series#10 Night on Stars for ₹1.84 Lakhs. Suresh Kolli placed runner-up for ₹1.36 Lakhs.
PokerGuru Ambassador Gokul Raj, Sandeep Chhabra, Abhishek Sonu, Manish Barman, Sachit Malik, Karan Malhotra, Mohak Kapoor, Sumit Pal, John Raphael, Kritagya Sharma, and Sankalp Marwah were the day’s other prominent winners.

Spartan Poker’s Wednesday flagship, the ₹25 Lakhs GTD Destiny, logged in a guarantee-surpassing 556 entries, collecting ₹27.80 Lakhs in the prize pool. Sreekanth ‘GL1DE’ Narayan championed the event for ₹7.23 Lakhs beating MTT pro Raghav ‘thatssosick’ Bansal (2nd for ₹4.45 Lakhs) heads-up.

Spartan Poker’s second Wednesday marquee, ₹6.50 Lakhs GTD Wednesday Vibes, drew 535 entries to collect ₹8.02 Lakhs in the prize pool. A three-way chop saw Kanav ‘slickooo’ Parwal walking away with the title and ₹1.17 Lakhs in prize money. Vinay ‘ConCrete’ B (2nd for ₹1.15 Lakhs) and Atishay ‘momstacos’ Samuel (3rd for ₹98,230) secured podium finishes.
Kanav Parwal cashed another two events, adding ₹2.84 Lakhs. He also took down the IOPC Mega Satellite to win ₹1.65 Lakhs worth of tickets.

PokerBaazi’s ₹10 Lakhs GTD The Pride kept the post-PokerBaazi Classics rush going on the site. Sporting a ₹3,850 buy-in, the event logged in a 510-entry field, collecting ₹17.85 Lakhs in the prize pool (over 75% more than its advertised guarantee). Tuesday’s The Endeavour runner-up finisher, PokerGuru Ambassador Ankit ‘d00mtr00p3r’ Wadhawan, took down the Wednesday flagship for the second time last night for ₹3.47 Lakhs beating Gaurav ‘Zillastar’ Bhandari (2nd for ₹2.43 Lakhs) heads-up.
The FTS 3.0 Main Event champion Wadhawan had previously won The Pride in June 2020 for ₹2.39 Lakhs. Last night, Wadhawan not only won his first title of the year but also cashed another three events, collectively adding ₹3.68 Lakhs.

The featured tournament of the day was the ₹9 Lakhs GTD Winter Series#10 Night on Stars that brought in a 409-entry field, collecting a guarantee-crushing ₹10.22 Lakhs prize pool. The site-reg Debneil ‘ChhotaD0N’ Mukherjee came out on top to collect the title for ₹1.84 Lakhs. He beat Suresh ‘Wabi-$abi’ Kolli (2nd for ₹1.36 Lakhs) heads-up.

Sachit ‘sach4694’ Malik (Won Winter Series#14 Ultrasonic ₹1.75 Lakhs GTD for ₹42,669), ‘tonyg202014’ (Won Winter Series#11 Primetime Grind ₹75K GTD for ₹20,516), Kritagya ‘kritagya’ Sharma (Won Winter Series#09 Bounty Builder Progressive KO ₹40K GTD for ₹16,165), and ‘MakeWishKid’ (Won Winter Series#13 Omania 6-Max Turbo ₹40K GTD for ₹11,782) were the Winter Series title winners.
Adda52’s ₹15 Lakhs GTD Maverick took off on schedule at 8 PM last night. A total of 708 players signed up, collecting a guarantee-crushing ₹17.70 Lakhs prize pool, and only 72 among them got paid. The former The Millionaire runner-up Prabhat ‘prabhpal’ Paliya came out on top to end an over eight-month-long title drought, banking ₹3.71 Lakhs in the process. He struck a heads-up deal with ‘ajitesh’ (2ndfor ₹3.28 Lakhs).

Day 3 of the ₹ 1 Crore GTD Nano Poker Series had seven events playing down to a winner, while the ₹25 Lakhs GTD Nano Main Event began proceedings. Day 1A registered 234 players, and only 30 of them could bag stacks for Day 2. Shalabh ‘shalabhpoker’ Bansal (244,147). Vishal ‘vishalkumar1270’ Kumar (205,874) and Sanjeeta ‘realkidsanju’ Kumari (205,615) topped the day-end chip counts.
There are six more starting flights to go, and all qualifying stacks will converge for Day 2 at 10 PM on January 16.
‘Bountyhunter1’ won two titles last night. They shipped the ₹1.50 Lakhs GTD Nano Maverick (₹26,810) and the ₹25K GTD Nano PLO (₹8,687).
‘Fletcher03’ (Won Nano DST ₹2 Lakhs GTD for ₹54,081), Sumit ‘sumitpal009’ Pal (Won Nano Wednesday Adda ₹90K GTD for ₹29,133), John ‘monzzard’ Raphael (Won Nano Crack Jack ₹70K GTD for ₹17,440) and ‘fearcheema’ (Won Nano Battleship ₹30K GTD for ₹9,520) won the other Adda52 marquees.
MPL Poker’s ₹2.50 Lakhs GTD Wednesday Bonanza saw Manish Barman walking away with the title and ₹58,750 in prize money. Wasim Khan placed runner-up for ₹37,375.
Khelo365 user ‘Don365’ took the ₹25K GTD 6 Feet Under PLO Deepstack for ₹9,250, defeating ‘cheinurface’ (2nd for ₹6,250) heads-up. Alexcy ‘JonGregor’ Newmai placed fifth for ₹2,750.
